In 2001, ghd revolutionised the way women styled their hair with the launch of its first styler – a professional tool designed for salon use that could also be easily used at home. ghd has continued to be a leader and innovator in hair styling with its range of professional brushes, ghd Style styling products and the launch of its first hairdryer, ghd air™. The Glamfields straightener, like most of our top-ranked models, releases negative ions to fight frizz while preventing split ends and knotting. Performance, though, sets it apart from the pack. Hair is straightened beautifully and quickly with the unit’s metal ceramic heater requiring just a 40-second warm-up, eliminating a long wait for the brush to reach temperature. And speaking of temperature, there are 12 heat settings ranging from 250° (ideal for brittle hair) to 450° (hot enough to straighten extremely thick or wavy hair).
Love this ghd does a very good job and heats up very quickly. Really good purchase and well worth it.
this curling iron is awesome. It gets hot in seconds and holds the heat from start to finish. It is definitely worth the money I spent on it.
I had this hair styler when it was first released and when mine finally died I was distraught as I could not find it, or anything like it, locally. When I finally found it on Amazon, I was so relieved! I am so happy to have this as it works great for me. My hair is short but I think your hair length is irrelevant. My hair is not curly but it has body and is a little coarse. When it rains or I am in a humid environment, it will frizz a bit. This hot air styler--which does away with the need for a separate brush--works perfectly to smooth out my hair and at the same time add volume and direction to my hair. A friend saw me using it at the beach recently and wanted to get one too. It ... full review
I tried my friend's ghds before purchasing as I didn't believe the hype. How wrong could I be they are so much better than all the previous pairs I have owned and are well worth the price... And I only straighten my fringe which takes about 20 seconds
Think of this as an updated version of your regular hairbrush. Its double negative ion technology gives your hair that glass-like shine without any static whatsoever. Its ceramic bristles with nylon cool-tips help keep damage to a minimum by releasing far-infrared heat — in a mere moment, it penetrates the outer layer of the hair cuticle and heats it from the inside out.
From the time of the Roman Empire until the Middle Ages, most women grew their hair as long as it would naturally grow. It was normally little styled by cutting, as women's hair was tied up on the head and covered on most occasions when outside the home with a snood, kerchief or veil; for an adult woman to wear uncovered and loose hair in the street was often restricted to prostitutes. Braiding and tying the hair was common. In the 16th century, women began to wear their hair in extremely ornate styles, often decorated with pearls, precious stones, ribbons and veils. Women used a technique called "lacing" or "taping," in which cords or ribbons were used to bind the hair around their heads. During this period, most of the hair was braided and hidden under wimples, veils or couvrechefs. In the later half of the 15th century and on into the 16th century a very high hairline on the forehead was considered attractive, and wealthy women frequently plucked out hair at their temples and the napes of their necks, or used depilatory cream to remove it, if it would otherwise be visible at the edges of their hair coverings. Working-class women in this period wore their hair in simple styles.
Works well checked the serial number on ghd's website and was authentic. Paid much less than other stores that are selling it over 200 at sephora definitely recommend
I have fine hair but a lot of it. I haven't straightened my hair in years so I finally decided it was time to buck up the necessary cash for a decent one.so far so great
This flat iron features 1-inch wide ceramic plates with titanium coating, and I love its slick and neat purple design. The Remington straightener heats up in about 30 seconds, and it has 6 heat settings from 310°F to 410°F, so this flat iron works pretty well even for African-American hair. The digital controls with LCD screen make it easy to adjust the right temperature for your hair type. The only thing is, the buttons are on the side, so you may accidentally push them while using the device.
The InfinitiPro by Conair has extra-long 1-inch tourmaline ceramic floating plates with 30 different heat settings (maximum heat is 455 degree Fahrenheit) and an extra long swivel line cord. It is perfect for creating silky smooth, straight hair or shiny curls. You can use it whether you’re hair is delicate, medium, or thick and hard-to-straighten. AND it has an automatic shut-off feature. It only takes 15 seconds to heat up which means that you can style your hair pretty quickly. However, like our first pick, the settings do not indicate the temperature. Also, the handle can get very warm. The plates also do not completely close unless you put quite a bit of pressure on them. It also doesn’t feature a safety latch that will keep the flat iron closed when you put it down while it’s still hot.
Love this straightener. It leaves my hair smooth and straight without frying the ends. Its also great for curling hair if you watch a few quot how to curl hair with a straightener quot youtube videos and you're able to get the hang of it so there is no need for both a curling iron and straightener. Also makes it easier to travel with less electronics. I received the hsi first and it fried my hair without even straightening it. This is the answer for all hair needs
seconds and it smoothes my hair with ease I would recommend this flat iron to anyone
great product. Top quality I bought in recommendation of my daughter and boy is this worth it
“Barrel” or rotating hair brush straighteners also detangle, straighten and add shine. In addition, hot air is directed into the hair as their ceramic or metallic barrels rotate, adding volume to thin hair. These are the best option for long hair, and the fact that the barrels are circular provides the added benefit of being able to curl as well as straighten.
That’s what is so great about hair straighteners: these devices can give you salon-worthy curls or celebrity-inspired straight hair that can change just as easily as your mood if you’d like! So, the next time you find yourself wishing for something you don’t naturally have, try using your hair straightener to bring out the best of your natural beauty. Who knows, you just might love a change!
it might be expensive but when you have a lot of holiday functions to attend getting it right first time is a must and for my other half that means going with a quality brand to do a fab job. She loves her good hair day products and with this little gift set on hand she's not only going to feel pretty damn special but will enjoy using it. Ok so it might be a christmas present but hey who says that the lady in your life has to wait it can be an early gift and perhaps day one of her own personal advent calendar.right yes its pricey however other products we've had from them have lasted years of constant use and as mr royce used to say quality is remembered long after price. Add to this a swish presentation box that looks nice and expensive alongside some straightners that will help get those tricky little bits on the side that just love to fluff up and all round I know that my other half is going to be more than happy. Ghd you're stars.
Love the styler.
foremost rest assured that if you purchase this item directly through amazon it is guaranteed authentic. If you purchase from a third party here there is no such guarantee. Before ordering this item I read the reviews and saw that many folks who purchased through the third party option ended up with counterfeit versions. And if this has happened to you please notify amazon immediately ... They will resolve the issue and the third party vendor will lose the right to sell at amazon. They take this very seriously. As for the product itself it does not get any better. It's just that simple. For years I have used the t3 line. I love their appliances and have never had a single complaint. But this ghd is even more outstanding.the straightener heats quickly and evenly. When hair is done in appropriately smaller sections this is a one pass system. It took me less time to straighten my hair with this ghd than with my t3 since my t3 often needs some quick touch ups .the swivel cord is a luxury that every straightener should have. In my opinion it's actually a safety feature rather than a convenience .my only tiny quibble is the fact that it does not come with a travel case. I had this small hope that it would be under the straightener so I took apart the box ... But no. My t3 came with a heat resistant travel case. I have taken it on every trip ... And never once had a problem. Here I am not sure that I'm willing to just toss it in my bag and hope nothing happens. Man and this straightener was sooo close to perfect if healthy hair is your priority choose this over any low end unevenly heated bare metal straightener. Yes it is expensive but when considering the health of your hair it is entirely worth it.by all means this is a superior product.
Daughter loves her ghds

Martin Penny, Gary Douglas, Susan Powls and Robert Powls founded ghd in 2001. The three collaborated to buy the rights to a hair straightening iron from a South Korean inventor. The brand quickly took off organically, and the company did not even begin advertising until two years after its launch. By then, hair salons and word of mouth carried ghd to £12 million, against a forecast of between £3 million and £4 million.
I love it heats up quick and turns its self off too.
I was worried that because ghd's are so powerful they would make my hair like straw but they have made my hair feel like I have been to the hairdresses everytime I straighten it I am very pleased with them as it has they are so quick and easy to use and heat up in no time. I would suggest them to anyone
