This styler really works I can curl or straighten with it and the style holds all day without hairspray.
The two strips of silicone atop Bio Ionic’s flat iron plates seem silly, but they serve an important purpose. By buffering the outer edge of the plates, they reduce your chances of hair snags. They also force you to glide the flat iron more slowly through your hair (they are called speed strips, after all). While the slower technique maximizes shininess and smoothness, the speed strips can become a bit of an obstacle if your hair is thick.

what can I say ghds they are amazing. And the edition is the ones I always come back to. Love love love them
According to hair pro Christian Wood, if you want to make sure your hair stays in the place, use the GHD gold mini styler. “I prefer a small straightener that I can get really close to the roots to remove stubborn kinks and cow licks,” says Wood. The small straightener trick is probably how he nails the beauty looks of Tessa Thompson, Emily Ratajkowski, Rosie Huntington, and Olivia Munn.

Good product supplied with wrong power lead doesn't suit australian power socket it even has instructions that it's not to be sold anywhere other than north america. I had to buy a adapter to use this product
I love this machine and ordering from this company was easy it arrived promptly very happy camper

love it totally worth it
In March 2013, ghd launched the "Eclipse" hair straightener, which uses six sensors in the plates to maintain a constant heat of 185 degrees celsius, a temperature ghd claims is the optimum temperature for styling results.[17] The consistent temperature reduces the time to style hair, particularly coarse hair that may previously taken multiple run throughs.[18] The Daily Mail called the Eclipse "The Rolls-Royce of irons".[19]
I have tried other hair straightener and I have always come back to ghd. My last pair was bought in 2006 and it is still going strong only bought these pair because of special discount. Not disappointed but because I have thick and long asian hair I find the wide plate works better for me.
The ghd Air Professional Performance Hairdryer brings the salon experience home through state-of-the-art design and powerful performance. Developed in collaboration with top stylists, Air provides up to two times faster drying with reduced frizz for the perfect salon blowout. It features advanced ionic technology that allows the industrial generator to lock in moisture, and is powered by a professional-strength, 1600-watt AC motor that’s built to last. The sleek, ergonomic design makes it a breeze to use—whether you are right-handed or left. It features variable heat settings, two speeds for customized control for every hair type, and a cool shot button to set styles in place. The dryer seals in smoother, shinier, longer-lasting results with less frizz.
This is a beautifully presented ghd gift set with a hairdryer and hair straighteners that feel tactile and look aesthetically very pleasing. You also get a hairdryer nozzle for precision drying a heat resistant mat and a heatproof plate guard for the straighteners these are located under the plastic tray packaging inside the box so don’t forget to lift it out .the hairdryer feels like a good weight but the weight is evenly distributed so it feels comfortable to hold and maneuverer around your head. It’s got two speed settings three heat settings plus a true cool shot button. It’s overall quieter and more comfortable to use than my old tigi joystick hairdryer which i’ve been using for the past few years and has a much longer body shape. I like the heat variations available as the middle setting provides gentle heat which isn’t always available especially with hairdryers that only have 2 heat settings available other than that it’s no better or worse than other hairdryers i’ve experienced.the straighteners are the quality you would expect from ghd and they are very much styled around the classic straighteners if you are familiar with them except instead of an on off switch there’s a button you have to press button down for a couple of seconds. I admittedly don’t like the button as it’s hard to tell whether the straighteners have been turned off after use as you can’t see the pale blue led in a bright sunny room. The straighteners heat up very fast though in about 15 seconds and there is a nice safety feature included where the straighteners will turn off automatically after 30 minutes if they have been hastily abandoned left on. The straighteners feel a bit hotter than my classic ghd’s but I haven’t located any info about the temperature so I can’t be sure of this. They are effective though I have fine medium length hair and it only takes a few minutes to straighten and my hair feels smooth and looks shiny and healthy.i’m really pleased with my ghd set everything feels so well made and they feel like luxury products built to last time will tell if this is true of course but it’s all working well as it should be at the moment. The box packaging really adds to the whole luxury feel of it all too so it feels like a well earned treat to purchase for yourself and I think it also makes a special gift for someone that you know they can enjoy using everyday.
There are many options to embellish and arrange the hair. Hairpins, clasps, barrettes, headbands, ribbons, rubber bands, scrunchies, and combs can be used to achieve a variety of styles. There are also many decorative ornaments that, while they may have clasps to affix them to the hair, are used solely for appearance and do not aid in keeping the hair in place. In India for example, the Gajra (flower garland) is common there are heaps on hairstyles.
Honestly the best straightener I've used. I have had many many many straighteners from cheap 30 ones to pricey 100 ones and this ghd is my favorite by far. One of the best things is that is has an automatic shut off. I can't tell you how many times I worried all day at work because I thought I might have left my hair straightener that heats up over 350 degrees on. I love that this one shuts off maybe a little too soon but still not complaining it's a great feature and not one my other pricey straightener offers. That being said this straightener is also works fantastically. It heats up very quickly and then glides evenly and smoothly for perfectly straight smooth hair. My hair is very thick with a slight wave especially in the back I was pleasantly surprised at what a good job this straightener does on my hair I don't have to go back and re do any sections and with a little product my style holds all day. I didn't think there would be that much difference between the ghb and my other pricier straightener but there is and I am not a ghb girl all the way
heats up in an instant and stays hot until I'm done. It works like a dream and it was recommended by my hairdresser. I'm so glad I bought this because it makes my styling time next to nothing now instead of constantly going over the same area repeatedly like with a cheap iron. It also stays clean.
Stylists often wash a subject's hair first, so that the hair is cut while still slightly damp. Compared to dry hair, wet hair can be easier to manage in a cut/style situation because the added weight and surface tension of the water cause the strands to stretch downward and cling together along the hair's length, holding a line and making it easier for the stylist to create a form. It is important to note that this method of cutting hair while wet, may be most suitable (or common) for straight hair types. Curly, kinky and other types of hair textures with considerable volume may benefit from cutting while dry, as the hair is in a more natural state and the hair can be cut evenly.
Some people may cover their hair totally or partially for cultural or religious reasons. Notable examples of head covering include women in Islam who wear the hijab, married women in Haredi Judaism who wear the sheitel, married Himba men who cover their hair except when in mourning, Tuareg men who wear a veil, and baptized men and women in Sikhism who wear the dastar.
Very good styler and much cheaper than in the store.always difficult to find good quality not damaging styler with dual voltage.very pleased
this is the best straightner period
Ghd reputation is unquestionable. This styler is the best and there isn't much more to say good value for money from this supplier.
love this hair iron. Best iron I've owned aside from chi.

This is the best straightener I've ever used plus I can curl with it I registered it online and activated the guarantee. Great product
I love this flat iron. My hair is smooth and health.
this is the second ghd I've bought off amazon in the last 6 months 1 for my sister and 1 for me I truely love them... You can't beat a ghd good hair day ... I was in both cases afraid of it being a fake as some reviews stated. Both times I took the advice to go to 'buying options' and to ensure you are getting it direct from amazon... They registered fine.i recommend this product 100 you will never go back to any other brand they are so fine I love the ghd's and they are not wrong I always have good hair day's ......weather permitting... I live in australia and the only thing other expence was an adapter which was fine ... I love ghd
I gave it to my daughter in law for christmas and she absolutely loves it that made me feel good.

If you have long hair or thick hair and want plenty of voluminous curls I would suggest checking out the Tresemme 2776U Salon Professional Volume Styler. With a grand total of 402 customer reviews this one scored 4.1 out of 5 stars overall.  The Tresemme 2776U works just as well on short and fine hair (just use the heat setting on one).  Additionally, it is lightweight so makes a good travel companion.  Easy to use and works well getting to the back of the head – as an example, one review states that chin length hair thick and wavy hair can be dry in around 10 minutes with plenty of volume and shine.
Heat levels are most important, and everything else is tied for second place. The true benefit of these appliances is that lower temperatures are suitable for easily-damaged or thin-to-medium hair, so it’s crucial that they’re able to operate at the appropriate temperatures. 365° is considered optimal for medium-thick hair, and straightening very thin or brittle hair calls for temperatures closer to 300°. Some models also have settings as high as 450° for use on very thick or very curly hair.
Very good styler and much cheaper than in the store.always difficult to find good quality not damaging styler with dual voltage.very pleased
The nano ceramic plates in this straightener deliver far-infrared heat, a gentler alternative in and of itself. As if that weren't enough, there's also a reservoir where you can pour in some of the (included) argan treatment and thermal protectant, creating a conditioning steam that will strengthen and safeguard strands while you straighten. Admittedly an extra step, sure, but one that's well worth it.
“Infrared is so beneficial being that the wavelengths are longer and can penetrate deeper into the cuticle heating the hair from the inside out, keeping your hair's own natural moisture, leaving the hair smooth (and) shiny and keeping it extremely healthy, versus other conventional styling tools that actually pull moisture out of the hair, leaving the hair dry, brittle, dull and damaged,” said hair expert and stylist Gina Rivera.
my wife loves it very awesome. She looks great
love it
In the early 1870s, in a shift that historians attribute to the influence of the West,[26] Japanese men began cutting their hair into styles known as jangiri or zangiri (which roughly means "random cropping").[27] During this period, Asian women were still wearing traditional hairstyles held up with combs, pins and sticks crafted from tortoise, metal, wood and other materials,[14] but in the middle 1880s, upper-class Japanese women began pushing back their hair in the Western style (known as sokuhatsu), or adopting Westernized versions of traditional Japanese hairstyles (these were called yakaimaki, or literally, soirée chignon).[27]

By far this is the best flat iron I have owned. Heats up quickly and does the job. Definitely worth the money

Love my ghd had it for 3 yrs and still perfect

despite some of the reviews I bought the product and fell in love I love how shiny and soft my hair feels once I've straightened. This along with a straightening comb leaves my hair pin straight and flawless. I love it
The ability to create bouncy curls or waves with a flat iron (we know, it seems counter-intuitive!) is a biggie in the beauty industry and merits a bit more discussion. If you’re totally lost and there aren’t enough video tutorials on the planet to explain this weird yet awesome process, don’t worry! Just follow along with our step-by-step guide and you will be curling with the best of them in no time!
Hair care can be hard to shop for. You want to be picking products that are effective enough to achieve your desired results, without having to pay an exorbitant amount to get the job done. When it comes to hot tools, you also want to make sure you'll be using a product that won't cause undue damage to your hair — totally fried tresses are the opposite of chic. And while there's a whole world out there of pricey pro-level straighteners from high-end hair brands, it turns out it's actually possible to score a satisfactory straightening tool for much less.
I'd had a pair of nicky clarke straighteners that I couldn't seem to get on with and when I was given some amazon vouchers for christmas decided to take the plunge and buy the ghd's that everyone raves about. Well now I totally get why they rave about them. Very easy to use they straighten my thick and wavy hair in seconds. No repeating sections one sweep and the hair is straight and sleek holding the style until the next wash.yes they're pricy but in this instance you get what you pay for.
From the time of the Roman Empire[citation needed] until the Middle Ages, most women grew their hair as long as it would naturally grow. It was normally little styled by cutting, as women's hair was tied up on the head and covered on most occasions when outside the home with a snood, kerchief or veil; for an adult woman to wear uncovered and loose hair in the street was often restricted to prostitutes. Braiding and tying the hair was common. In the 16th century, women began to wear their hair in extremely ornate styles, often decorated with pearls, precious stones, ribbons and veils. Women used a technique called "lacing" or "taping," in which cords or ribbons were used to bind the hair around their heads.[14] During this period, most of the hair was braided and hidden under wimples, veils or couvrechefs. In the later half of the 15th century and on into the 16th century a very high hairline on the forehead was considered attractive, and wealthy women frequently plucked out hair at their temples and the napes of their necks, or used depilatory cream to remove it, if it would otherwise be visible at the edges of their hair coverings.[15] Working-class women in this period wore their hair in simple styles.[14]

Lovely item the usual excellent quality from ghd
If you are looking for faster results, a hair straightening brush is more appropriate – it is a hybrid between a brush and a straightening iron, used best on dried hair and effective even for the most unruly naturally curly hair. You can use the straightening brush on hair that is washed and dried, and obtain the straightening iron results with  much easier and intuitive brushing move.
Product just as described
The Apalus is another flat heated hair brush, primarily for use on dry hair. It applies constant heat when you turn it on, although it takes longer to warm up than models which use metal ceramic heating technology (this one simply uses ceramic plates). It can reach 180°F in 60 seconds, but will take three minutes to hit its top temperature of 450°. That can make this unit frustrating to use if you have to straighten thick hair.

By far this is the best flat iron I have owned. Heats up quickly and does the job. Definitely worth the money
this is my third ghd flat iron. The best have them all over. Home vacation home boat.used for many years.
Most straighteners will have either ceramic or tourmaline plates, although a few use titanium. Ceramic is the best choice for delicate, fine or color-treated hair because it heats evenly and a bit more slowly than tourmaline or titanium with no hot spots. Tourmaline and titanium, by contrast, heat up extremely quickly and can easily damage thin or sensitive hair before you’re even aware that it’s happened. For thick hair, though, tourmaline or titanium are the way to go; tourmaline has the added benefit of producing 20x more negative ions, making hair moist and silky and reducing frizz.
Here at the Strategist, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy (like pillows), but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have People’s Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed (that’s four-to-five-star reviews and lots of ‘em) products and single out the most convincing ones. While we’ve written about the best curling irons, hair dryers, and even a certain curling iron used on the Victoria’s Secret Angels before, we’re going deep on the best flat irons and hair straighteners on Amazon. (Note that reviews have been edited for length and clarity.)
Your second option is a hot air brush. It’s a round-shaped electric tool that can be used for both straightening and curling. But you probably will be able to create gentle waves rather than tight curls with this appliance. Hot air brushes can comb, blow-dry, and style your hair at the same time. It’s a good choice if you want to add extra volume or just keep it.
At the price of a coffee and sandwich, you will be over the moon with the Revlon 5265CU Shape and Smooth Air Styler. It boasts 108 Amazon customer reviews with combination of 74 at 4 or 5 stars; I believe this is an excellent low cost air styler.  I would buy one of these just as a spare or to carry round as it is also lightweight so makes for a good travel solution.
When using a brush straightener, you should keep several things in mind. First, always apply some kind of a thermal protectant. Comb your locks properly. Second, be aware of the hot bristles – you don’t want them to touch your scalp. Third, don’t hold a brush straightener as a regular brush however tempting and easy this seems. You should hold it kind of upside down so that bristles won’t touch your skin. To straighten a strand in one pass, hold the brush tight to the surface of the hair. More detailed guide on how to use a hair straightening brush you can find in this article.
love this straightener I used to use chi brand and per my hairdresser they sold out a while back and have gone downhill in quality so she suggested I get this brand. So far it is great for my naturally curly thick hair
I bought these for two reasons my trusty babyliss straighteners died and I was just about to take a trip to america. Rather than buy two pairs for the different voltages I invested in these dual voltage ghds and am extremely pleased. Light and easy to use heat up and cool down very quickly. Only one heat setting but they work absolutely fine on my curly hair and I find I don't need to do it every day unless my hair gets damp but that's the joy of natural curls lol. Worked exactly the same on the american voltage with an adaptor for the plug. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these if you need to replace your current straighteners. Maybe a little pricey but you get what you pay for with this type of electrical item.
