GHD Curve tongs – GHD offers two different types of tongs in the Curve collection. If you need to maximise volume, the Soft Curl tongs will be preferable. They work better with longer hair, creating luxuriantly soft, rippled curls from the root. The Classic Curl is all about creating reliably consistent curls and works best on shorter hair. Both tongs come with long cords for flexible usage, include a safety stand to prop the tongs when they aren't in use and have “cool tips” which let users twine curls safely without the risk of burns.
This original hair hero uses ceramic heat technology to style at the optimum styling temperature, for perfect results every time. A rounded barrel and floating plates makes this styler glide easily through hair, creating beautiful styles. Plus, with automatic sleep mode and universal voltage you'll have peace of mind to create great results at home or abroad.
Compared to the fancy flatirons, this one is a great value. And Target reviewers agree – it has almost 200 five-star reviews. It’s called a “3-in-1” iron because the iron has curved plates, so you can use it to create smooth waves, curls, and sleek, straight styles. It heats up quickly, and has a long (9 feet) cord so you can maneuver with dexterity. And don’t worry about having to rush home because you can’t remember if you shut off the flatiron — there’s an automatic shut-off. Celebrity hairstylist Kristin Ess also has some great videos showing you how to use it at home.

Best flat iron ever! Ghd, by far, is the best brand. There is nothing like it. I own a few and each one works like a pro. No tugging on hair, no burning, and no catching hair. Leaves hair smooth & frizz free with one pass. This is my first 2" styler and I like it even better than the 1" as it holds more hair. My hair is long and fine but this works great. The less passes on your hair, the less damage that is done. I live in Florida, and since I've started using Ghd, I no longer have any frizz! Love these products.
In the world of dryers, it's a question of buying either the GHD Aura or the Dyson Supersonic. There's no question that Dyson's dryers are smarter. On-board CPUs receive information about temperature constantly, ensuring that hair damage isn't a factor. However, both GHD and Dyson are up to speed where it really counts: ensuring an even, rapid drying experience. Both use ionisation to dry hair quickly. The dryer from Dyson has a unique look that will seduce some people, but GHD's dryers are easier to customise via attachments. This contest will come down to personal taste.
This is amazing I love my GOOD HAIR DAY! Best straightener ever it gives you hair a natural shine that no other straightener has ever done for me. It can be a little pricey but trust me you will be so happy with the results you will know every penny was worth it please if you haven’t tried this product you need to try it out it leaves no marks like some straightener do and you don’t need more the 2 passes to see a wonderful NATURAL finish
Frequent jetsetters will love this tool’s automatic dual-voltage technology. One reviewer writes, “Bought the Herstyler for overseas travel to Europe. It works great just using an adapter, no converter needed since its dual voltage. Have coarse, curly hair and works great. Gets plenty hot, has adjustable heat setting up to 460. Only have it set at halfway mark.” Another, who describes themselves as a lifelong convert, says, “I have had to buy three over the years (I broke the plates on the other two by dropping them and them getting banged around in my suitcase, sorry I’m clumsy) and would buy again!”
We’ve all heard the saying that the grass is always greener on the other side, and our hair types tend to follow the same old adage. If you were born with a head full of beautiful curls, you probably spent your childhood longing for straight hair; if you were born with bone straight hair, then you’ve probably spent more hours than you’d care to admit with a throbbing curler-induced headache. No matter how hard we may try to love the hair we’re born with; the truth is that most of us wish there were something else perched on top of our heads from time to time.
But, surprisingly, finding the best flat iron doesn’t have to be a nightmare (yes, really). First, know that the more efficiently your straightener works, the better it is for the overall health of your hair, which meant it’s time to throw away your gunk-covered flat iron from high school. Second, it’s 2019, and straighteners have come a loooong way in the last decade, so even though, sure, there are certain flat irons that are better for certain hair types (more on that below), you can kinda pick and choose whichever straightener seems best, and you really can’t go wrong.

However, if you only straighten your hair for special occasions, or have shorter or thinner hair, you’ll likely be equally as satisfied with a cheaper flat iron. Both the HSI Professional Glider and the Remington 1” Flat Iron with Anti-Static Technology and Digital Controls are great options depending on your budget. If you’re simply buying the GHD hair straightener because of the name, you may end up spending more money than you need to.

What is the best affordable hair straightener?

Sadly, the plates in the LumaBella Keratin Duel Touch Hair Straightener won’t begin to magically levitate on your bathroom sink! BUT they do float in the frame! They are specially engineered to deliver a consistent heat with a smooth glide, and their design enables a flexible grip on the straightener, giving you great results no matter how you hold it. Even better, it won’t tug or pull like so many others on the market. The result is pain-free styling in a fraction of the time!

How do you clean GHD straighteners?

I love these, they glide smoothly through my hair and leave it looking and feeling silky and healthy. My hair type is fine/normal and slightly wavy. My hair is bad at holding curls I can create some great beach’s waves with these that last all day. Only thins that annoying is the plastic casing of the plate has a seam in in which my fine hair finds a way to get trapped in, which never happened with my old GHDs that I have for 10 years. Also kinda wish the button was a switch like the used to be, the press and hold button to switch on and audio feedback just feels a little out of sync and devalues the experience for me. Still worth the $200 I paid for them though.

What are GHD straighteners?

For frequent travellers universal voltage is a real boon. There's nothing worse than being away from home, wanting to look your best, and then discovering your hairdryer is about as useful as someone blow drying your hair through a straw, or that your straighteners just can't get up to the temperature you need to achieve the look you want. Performance from the Platinum+ is going to be the same wherever in the world you are.
It’s very lightweight and sturdy, slim and good looking. I just love the yellow. It smoothes my hair out perfectly, without making the static, frizzy mess, my old hair straightener used to leave in its wake. My style holds very well, without any need of a hairspray. I don’t exactly know if it’s my hair or the styler, but I love it none the less. I’m really happy with this GHD hair iron, and I couldn’t recommend it enough
At the high end of the straighteners market, GHD goes head to head with Cloud 9 (owned by one of the co-founders of GHD). Cloud 9's products are generally more expensive, thanks to the special “mineral-infused” plates they use. These plates claim to deliver the same styling potential as GHD's products but at lower temperatures. An LED panel also makes it simple to decide which temperature to use – something that GHD haven't introduced. In reality, this is a marginal consideration for everyday users, but salons are embracing Cloud 9 in a big way. For normal stylists, a price comparison at hotukdeals may be the best way to decide.

Which are the best GHD straighteners?

An upgrade from their since discontinued Eclipse Styler, you won't be tempted to heat this flatiron up to 450 degrees, because the temperature dial is always stuck on one number: 365 (the ideal heat to mold hair without frying it, according to the scientists at GHD). Underneath each of those 365-degree plates are three fancy sensors that measure the density of the hair in the iron so that it can maintain consistent heat regardless of the chunk of hair you grab. The result? Silky, shiny hair with zero frizz.
Thanks to the tourmaline ceramic plates, this iron “glides through my hair, never grabbing or pulling it,” writes one reviewer. Others point out that this tourmaline ceramic plate “works way better on fine hair than other types,” not burning thin strands even at high temperatures. Or, as one reviewer writes, “It’s well made, it doesn’t snag my fine hair and because of the heat control settings, doesn’t burn it either. Yay for not having breakage!”
Lots of comments leave photographs of their voluminous hairdos in their reviews, as proof of this flat iron’s hair-raising power. This ringing endorsement more or less sums up Voloom’s appeal: “I really think that the inventor of this miracle tool should be made a saint, or have a town square named after them. If you have to sell your first born to purchase this device, do it.”
