I am officially in love with this flat iron and I just got it today I have been a chi person my whole life and as many know those die usually within a year. However I just kept purchasing them because as far as I knew they were the best. Now I'm kicking myself for sticking with the chi for so long because this flat iron is a million times better. It straightens my hair so so so well and fast I don't have to go over it a million times. And it cuts down on a lot of frizz. Another thing I love about it is that it heats up so fast it takes about 15 seconds if that to heat up and it's completely ready to go. Usually I'd go outside and within 30 minutes my hair would become wavy due to humidity however that hasn't happened yet. I just came in from being outside for a few hours after straightening my hair with this flat iron. I could say so many things about how great it is. The packaging is adorable the flat iron is just so sleek and professional looking. I love it
I was very hesitant to buy this product because of some of the reviews where people received a fake ghd but when I got mine it not only looked identical to the flat iron on the official ghd site I was able to successfully register my ghd iron to guarantee the 2 year warranty and such .i am really happy with my product so far and happy that I could buy it at such a discounted price
since my 10 year old ghds finally packed in a year ago I've been using a well known but inferior brand which were much cheaper and have really noticed the difference my hair took longer to style and was drier and frizzier than when I was using the ghds. Therefore these straighteners were a real treat to use.they heat up in a few seconds and give a 'beep' warning signal when they're ready to use. The paddles are narrow but plenty wide enough for my short thick hair. My hair glided through smoothly without tangling or pulling leaving my hair smooth shiny and straight.these straighteners come with a very long 2.7m cable. Unfortunately it has one of those rounded plugs which are really difficult to pull out of the socket. This didn't bother me too much as I leave mine plugged in and switch the socket on and off as required. On that note for safety reasons the straighteners start beeping after a few minutes of not being used and switch off completely after 30 minutes.for me ghds will always be worth the money. These come with a 3 year warranty and my previous pair lasted 10 years so I think they're a great investment.

Excellent product and very fast shipping. Would not buy any other brand of flat iron.

From the time of the Roman Empire[citation needed] until the Middle Ages, most women grew their hair as long as it would naturally grow. It was normally little styled by cutting, as women's hair was tied up on the head and covered on most occasions when outside the home with a snood, kerchief or veil; for an adult woman to wear uncovered and loose hair in the street was often restricted to prostitutes. Braiding and tying the hair was common. In the 16th century, women began to wear their hair in extremely ornate styles, often decorated with pearls, precious stones, ribbons and veils. Women used a technique called "lacing" or "taping," in which cords or ribbons were used to bind the hair around their heads.[14] During this period, most of the hair was braided and hidden under wimples, veils or couvrechefs. In the later half of the 15th century and on into the 16th century a very high hairline on the forehead was considered attractive, and wealthy women frequently plucked out hair at their temples and the napes of their necks, or used depilatory cream to remove it, if it would otherwise be visible at the edges of their hair coverings.[15] Working-class women in this period wore their hair in simple styles.[14]

If your daughter is keen to straighten her hair, then I would suggest taking things slow and erring on the side of caution to avoid any potential damage to her hair. How you care for her hair is probably just as important as whether you go for a hairbrush straightener or a flat iron. I have listed some hair care tips below which will hopefully help you and your daughter.
L'Oréal Paris Elnett Precious Oil Hairspray has been specifically formulated to soften, smooth and add shine to dry, damaged hair. Its ultra fine mist leaves hair feeling clean with a lightweight, soft, shiny finish and a satin touch. Infused with the luxurious touch of silky Argan Oil. For perfect hold, complete any hairstyle with an all-over spray.
Bought these at a very reasonable price and they are great.they arrived within the week of ordering them which was also great.
I haven't checked to see if its registered and original but it is phenomenal love it
I ordered these straighteners on boxing day evening as my others had been stolen from the gym changing room the week before. They arrived the next day early afternoon on the 27th of december......how fantastic is that for delivery service. These are my fourth pair of ghds and I adore them. The only reason I am on my fourth pair is due to the fact two pairs have been stolen over the years and the other pair work but not as well as they used to they are ten years old . Have tried others but could never be without my ghds. Thanks for great product and amazing service

In the early 1870s, in a shift that historians attribute to the influence of the West,[26] Japanese men began cutting their hair into styles known as jangiri or zangiri (which roughly means "random cropping").[27] During this period, Asian women were still wearing traditional hairstyles held up with combs, pins and sticks crafted from tortoise, metal, wood and other materials,[14] but in the middle 1880s, upper-class Japanese women began pushing back their hair in the Western style (known as sokuhatsu), or adopting Westernized versions of traditional Japanese hairstyles (these were called yakaimaki, or literally, soirée chignon).[27]
I absolutely love this my friend had one and I wanted one so bad so I could use it to curl my long a hair without using a straight iron and a curling iron.. This is simple to use and best purchase investment ever lol
Love this straightener. It leaves my hair smooth and straight without frying the ends. Its also great for curling hair if you watch a few quot how to curl hair with a straightener quot youtube videos and you're able to get the hang of it so there is no need for both a curling iron and straightener. Also makes it easier to travel with less electronics. I received the hsi first and it fried my hair without even straightening it. This is the answer for all hair needs

We love the fact that the ceramic heater ensures the iron heats up super fast. Even better, you can be sure that you’ve got all that unruly hair under control in 10 minutes or less (expertise required, of course). While there’s a lot to love about the BabylissPRO, it doesn’t have an automatic shut off feature. It also is a bit heavy and bulky. And the price isn’t anything to sniff at either.

In 2001, ghd revolutionised the way women styled their hair with the launch of its first styler – a professional tool designed for salon use that could also be easily used at home. ghd has continued to be a leader and innovator in hair styling with its range of professional brushes, ghd Style styling products and the launch of its first hairdryer, ghd air™. Love it worth every dollar leaves hair smooth shines. Comes with registration for ghd for any warranty issues.
I have very tightly coiled african american hair. I used the blow dryer with a heat protectant and this iron got my hair bone straight and shiny. Its the holy grail basically in my opinion lol

I ordered these straighteners as I'd had a pair before that lasted me 7 years it takes only 10 minutes to straighten my long hair and I would highly recommend these to anyone. These straighteners were also fantastic value for ghds which are usually over 100. They were extremely well packaged and arrived in perfect condition I am over the moon
However, the search for the best hair straightener for your specific hair type can be daunting. In fact, it’s always difficult when it comes to choosing the right hair tool, whatever that may be. After all, we’re talking about something that could make or break your crowning glory. Well, have no fear on this one. We’ve taken the heat off your hair to find out which of the best hair straighteners work best.

If you are interested in adding the benefits of keratin use into other aspects of your hair care routine, treat yourself to a keratin-rich hair mask once per week! There are dozens of fantastic keratin masks on the market to choose from (and even in your local drugstore!), but we love Naat’s Brazilian Keratin Intensive Hair Mask (which you can buy here from Amazon) for a consistent shine every time!
This one’s the LBD of all hair straighteners. With 100 percent pure tourmaline ceramic plates, the classic tool will never lose its luster (and neither will your hair). No need to tug or pull, as this tool is made with a small suspension system — the floating plates adjust to compress your hair while styling. And with a fully-rotating swivel power cord, you’ll have all the styling control in your hands.
my last two flat irons were sultra. I decided to try a different brand since the last sultra didn't last nearly as long as the first. So far so good with this ghd. Seems to be on par with sultra or maybe slightly better especially how fast it heats up . I bought from a seller with 100 rating fulfilled by amazon. And was able to register the flat iron on ghd's site without any problems.

Consider this the perfect flat iron for full hair. "It is great for thicker textures because it distributes heat evenly, allowing for less passes through the hair," explains stylist Lacy Redway. The plates "make it easier to straighten or curl longer hair lengths." Redway was responsible for  Tessa Thompson’s sleek ‘do on her past ELLE cover, so you know it’s top-notch.
Derek Yuen, the man responsible for Cole Sprouse's grown-up new look, recommends the GHD Platinum Professional Performance iron. The flat iron is consistently and evenly heated at 365 degrees, which is safer and less damaging on the strands. “The beveled edges also allow for infinite styling possibilities, not just just for straightening hair,” says Yeun.
These are my 2nd pair of ghd s and I wouldn t buy anything else. They are definately the best. They don t pull on your hair like some cheaper straighteners and they heat up really quick. They last for years my first pair which are still working fine were bought in 2008 10 10
I can't believe Amazon would allow one of their trusted sellers to sell fakes. I received mine today and it took about 5 seconds to realize that it was fake. I could not register it on the ghd website, and I came across the information below to help identify fakes. This straightener did not have a reset button on the plug, and had many more of the 'give-aways' that it was a fake! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER.
Was worried following some negative reviews about this not being a genuine ghd product. However product arrived with ghd tag with details on how to register with ghd. This was done on the official ghd website and ghd have verified the product.
