“My daughter loves this straightening iron. As a competitive cheerleader, she finds this tool incredibly handy since it can both straighten her hair and curl it. She says it heats up incredibly fast, which for her is great, given her impatience. It provides nice, slick hair and tames all her frizzies and flyaways. All her girlfriends like to borrow it, too, for their hair.”
Heats up super fast. Cord very long
it was real it registered and everything my wife loves it
The ultimate clay products at Hanz de Fuko are Quicksand and Claymation (over 3 million sold!). Quicksand is both a styling clay and dry shampoo with high hold and a dry matte finish. For the ambitious learners, Quicksand contains diatomaceous earth, a sedimentary rock that’s highly absorbent and helps plump strands. Claymation on the other hand, is a styling “clay-wax” hybrid with super high hold and a matte finish. We added a touch of Quicksand to this formula for an added boost of holding power and flexible hold.
Ordered on 15 dec 2016 got it today warrenty garanteed and validated 18 dec2016 for 2 years

From the 16th to the 19th century, European women's hair became more visible while their hair coverings grew smaller, with both becoming more elaborate, and with hairstyles beginning to include ornamentation such as flowers, ostrich plumes, ropes of pearls, jewels, ribbons and small crafted objects such as replicas of ships and windmills.[14][21] Bound hair was felt to be symbolic of propriety: loosening one's hair was considered immodest and sexual, and sometimes was felt to have supernatural connotations.[22] Red hair was popular, particularly in England during the reign of the red-haired Elizabeth I, and women and aristocratic men used borax, saltpeter, saffron and sulfur powder to dye their hair red, making themselves nauseated and giving themselves headaches and nosebleeds.[12][23] During this period in Spain and Latin cultures, women wore lace mantillas, often worn over a high comb,[14][24] and in Buenos Aires, there developed a fashion for extremely large tortoise-shell hair combs called peinetón, which could measure up to three feet in height and width, and which are said by historians to have reflected the growing influence of France, rather than Spain, upon Argentinians.[25]
In many cultures, including Hindu culture and among the Wayana people of the Guiana highlands, young people have historically shaved off their hair to denote coming-of-age. Women in India historically have signified adulthood by switching from wearing two braids to one. Among the Rendille of north-eastern Kenya and the Tchikrin people of the Brazilian rainforest, both men and women shave their heads after the death of a close family member. When a man died in ancient Greece, his wife cut off her hair and buried it with him,[39] and in Hindu families, the chief mourner is expected to shave his or her head 3 days after the death.[43]
If hair is pinned too tightly, or the whole updo slips causing pulling on the hair in the follicle at the hair root, it can cause aggravation to the hair follicle and result in headaches. Although some African-Americans may use braiding extensions (long term braiding hairstyle) as a form of convenience and/or as a reflection of personal style, it is important not to keep the braids up longer than needed to avoid hair breakage or hair loss. Proper braiding technique and maintenance can result in no hair damage even with repeated braid styles.
I don't use the straightener very often but it has worked great for me. Gets very hot very quickly and does what it is suppose to do.

My hair stylist recommended this brand. It heats up quickly and has all the safety features. Love it
so I had the chi straightener for not that long probably a year and half and when it hit the bucket I was going to buy another one but kandee johnson on youtube recommended this one so I thought I'd look into it. It's more expensive than the chi but I really didn't want a straightener that would just die after a year. The chi only lasted as long as the cheaper straighteners I bought from walmart did. So I decided to shell out the money hoping it would be worth it. And so far so good. It's better than the chi by far it heats up in no time and lets you know when it's ready with a few beeps. It'll shut itself down if you don't use if after a half hour it'll keep beeping though to let you know to switch it off. It gets my hair smoother than the chi but what I really love is that it keeps my hair straighter. I have wavy frizzy hair and even if I straighten my hair but go outside on a humid or rainy day it'll frizz up and start curling like I'm possessed or something lol. With the ghd I can straighten my hair and know that it will last through humidity and even a few raindrops not a storm though haha. Also it doesn't damage my hair as much I don't know how since it has a higher heat setting but it does. I swear. So far I've had no problems with it and I feel like it's built to last
perfection is the word to describe the ghd classic styler...it's easy to use and the hair style last longer than by using other regular stylers sold on the market...once you try it you will see the difference right away.
It’s always good hair day with this

Most of the hair straighteners we reviewed heat up in under a minute, but the Cloud Nine Original Flat Iron has to be one of the fastest on the market! In as little as 20 seconds, this hair straightener transforms from cool to hot, hot, hot! With this model, there is no need to wait around for your hair straightener to warm up, which means you spend less time getting ready in the morning and more time getting on with your day.
You are definitely paying for quality.have been using ghds since 2006 older models and have never looked back. Quality is superb and definitely delivers great results.can easily last 10 years
We know that to colour and straighten our hair is abuse so far better to buy products which reduce that damage.these straighteners are slightly heavier than my other ghds but they're more comfortable to hold.they reach maximum temperature within seconds and the plates glide smoothly across the hair to leave it as smooth shiny and silky as though your hair was always that way.these have a safety feature which shuts off power after 30 minutes of inactivity so no need to rush back home fearing that you'd left them switched on.they also come with a heat resistant silicone cover which protects them during transport.i would always recommend using a hair care product to protect your hair whilst using any straighteners. However having been tempted to buy cheaper straighteners in the past and watching my hair fry over the months I'd used them I would recommend that you buy the best straighteners that you can afford and these are worth every penny.
Titanium irons are more powerful. They heat up much faster and have a higher ionic distribute, and they work great on really thick, curly or stubborn locks. For instance, popular BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium-Plated Ultra-Thin Straightening Iron is made using titanium. And if your locks are pretty easy to straighten, you probably don’t need such a powerful tool.
After living in australia and going to a salon there that used a ghd flat iron on my hair I've always wanted one. But because of the price I often settled for the less expensive brands. I had a sedu but it recently died and I found that the ghd sold on amazon had such a great price I just had to get it. It was definitely worth it I love how I only need to flat iron a section once and it's perfect. Because I have curly hair it usually takes me 40 mins to flat iron my hair but now with the ghd styler it only takes about 25 mins. From now on I'm only using ghd stylers.
My first ghd styler. I was super skeptical about the purchase considering the 50 difference on their website. I was able to register it so I'm thrilled to say it's the real deal though I haven't tried it in my hair yet I know what to expect...
Sure, the drugstore flat iron you used on its highest setting back in the day was clunky and had a tendency to fry your hair if you glanced away for more than a second, and okay fine, your mom probably told you that you looked a little “emo” from time to time. Luckily, those days are long gone and hair straighteners have truly come a long way since the days of The Jersey Shore.

I gave it to my daughter in law for christmas and she absolutely loves it that made me feel good.
Whether you have particularly curly hair or thick locks, this T3 hair straightener is designed to leave you with a shiny finish in a fraction of the time of other hair straighteners on the market today. Specifically, the T3’s smart SinglePass technology maintains consistent heat throughout the entire plate to straighten all hair types with one glide.
Love it worth every dollar leaves hair smooth shines. Comes with registration for ghd for any warranty issues.
heats up so fast and does a great job straightening my hair I am not the most coordinated person and even I can use this.

The great thing about beauty is that there is something for everyone. Even as the trend these days is skewing towards plenty of texture and heatless styling, the tried-and-true flatiron still has its place. I mean, with social media going crazy over the super-sleek look of glass hair, it's clear that straight hair ain't going anywhere. After all, some of us just want smooth strands from time to time — or, depending on who you are, most of the time. But pressing your hair between two scorching-hot plates can be a recipe for a dried, sizzled, frizzy disaster. Or at least it can be if you're using the wrong flatiron. On the flip side, using a good one can make all the world of difference. And that's where we come in. We've scoured the world of flatirons to bring you the best of the best, at a range of price points. So whether you've got the coins for an affordable Conair or can shell out the big bucks for a Harry Josh, these 20 straighteners will give you that just-back-from-the-salon look — minus the scorch.
From the time of the Roman Empire[citation needed] until the Middle Ages, most women grew their hair as long as it would naturally grow. It was normally little styled by cutting, as women's hair was tied up on the head and covered on most occasions when outside the home with a snood, kerchief or veil; for an adult woman to wear uncovered and loose hair in the street was often restricted to prostitutes. Braiding and tying the hair was common. In the 16th century, women began to wear their hair in extremely ornate styles, often decorated with pearls, precious stones, ribbons and veils. Women used a technique called "lacing" or "taping," in which cords or ribbons were used to bind the hair around their heads.[14] During this period, most of the hair was braided and hidden under wimples, veils or couvrechefs. In the later half of the 15th century and on into the 16th century a very high hairline on the forehead was considered attractive, and wealthy women frequently plucked out hair at their temples and the napes of their necks, or used depilatory cream to remove it, if it would otherwise be visible at the edges of their hair coverings.[15] Working-class women in this period wore their hair in simple styles.[14]
This Amazon bestseller has just about everything you’ll need in a hair straightener. The 1-inch plates are high quality ceramic and tourmaline plates for silky smooth results. These plates feature 8 HeatBalance microsensors that ensure temperature remains consistent and evenly distributed throughout. Plus, these are floating plates with curved edges so you don’t have to worry about snagging your hair while you style because the plates adjust the angle as you do your ‘do.
I don't know why I waited so long to invest in this product. I held off because of the price but now that I own it it is worth every penny I have fine hair that is very curly wavy. This styler makes my hair straight smooth sleek and shinny and it lasts until the next shampoo. It heats up super quick and is very east to use. I have read other reviews about whether it is an original product because of where it was made. My styler says made in china . Some reviewers claim is not an authentic styler if it's not made in korea . My styler had the correct id label on it and I was able to register it on the ghd website. For now I highly recommend this product. As long as it continues to work for at least a year or more I will be very happy with my purchase.
when you buy ghd you invest in quality are you worth it.
4 Out of 5 for ghd am I mad well not quite. These are excellent and certainly professional level instruments. Balanced good weight easy to use except and thoroughly well designed.hairdryer is quiet ish with more than enough power and settings to deal with most types of hair and styles. All in all an absolute delight.straighteners are almost perfect this is where the the small problem lies. First of all the good bits. Solid construction good smooth plates well balanced. Now the issue the settings. I know these are probably are professional and my gripe may be invalid but the heat setting is not high enough. Could be a decision made people who use them all day but for a once a day use I'd have preferred to be able to turn the heat up.
Just had my very long very thick hair cut today and they finished it with this straightener. I'm a big supporter of what isn't broken doesn't need to be replaced but with how well this one worked and how silky smooth my hair feels now compared to my old straightener I am now shopping around to replace it. I'll probably get a 50 model like the hsi instead of this for 140 190 but for those willing to pay this price it works wonderfully and hopefully you love the results as much as I do
Love this brand very happy

I love my new ghd professional original styler 1 inch. The dual voltage allows me to style my hair when traveling which was a real problem before. Compact to take on any trip. Love it
I bought these for two reasons my trusty babyliss straighteners died and I was just about to take a trip to america. Rather than buy two pairs for the different voltages I invested in these dual voltage ghds and am extremely pleased. Light and easy to use heat up and cool down very quickly. Only one heat setting but they work absolutely fine on my curly hair and I find I don't need to do it every day unless my hair gets damp but that's the joy of natural curls lol. Worked exactly the same on the american voltage with an adaptor for the plug. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these if you need to replace your current straighteners. Maybe a little pricey but you get what you pay for with this type of electrical item.

If you have really short hair, you’re better off with a narrow plate, around half an inch in size. If you want to curl your hair, smaller plates are also ideal. For those with longer, thicker tresses, you need wider plates, around 1 1/2 inches, to ensure that you cover more area on each pass. This decreases the amount of passes you need to make, preventing more damage done to your hair.

The Babybliss is a rotating hair brush straightener, similar to Revlon Perfect Heat, however, it is made from titanium instead of ceramic and is more expensive. This model has three heat settings, but it does not have a cold shot button. Some believe the titanium makes a difference in the way their hair feels but the team doesn’t see it; we think the performance is virtually identical to the Revlon Perfect Heat.

The Remington Volume & Curl AS7051 comes with two different brush sizes, 50mm and 21mm as well as a 30mm retractable bristle brush so it is suitable for almost all hair types.  It’s a powerful product at 1,000 watts so gets the job done quickly and with minimum fuss.  Programmed with two heat and two speed settings as well as a cool shot it’s a good all over product and proves good value for money.  Out of 137 customer reviews, it has an overall score of 79 5 stars and 28 4 stars.  The only downsides are the on/off switch is not positioned well so often can be switched off during use and it is quite a large product to handle!

Martin Penny, Gary Douglas, Susan Powls and Robert Powls founded ghd in 2001.[7][8] The three collaborated to buy the rights to a hair straightening iron from a South Korean inventor.[9] The brand quickly took off organically, and the company did not even begin advertising until two years after its launch.[10][11] By then, hair salons and word of mouth carried ghd to £12 million, against a forecast of between £3 million and £4 million.[9]
Hey there! My name is Juliet but my friends call me Jules, so you’re more than welcome to! Thanks for stopping by my site which I’ve put together to help people like yourself pick out a flat iron. Irons can be confusing if you have never owned one before (and even if you have). Whether you’re a newbie or a veteran, when it’s time to get a new iron the sheer amount of information can get more than a little overwhelming. I’ve done my best to sort through all of it here so you don’t feel like you’re buried under an indiscriminate amount of styling tools.
The ghd dry and style gift set contains both the ghd gold styler and ghd air hairdryer housed inside a large beautifully presented gold black gift box. Presentation is superb throughout.the smart styler has an advanced heat sensor and heats to no more than 185 c to maintain healthy hair while the round shape of the barrel is excellent for producing wavy curly or straight results. The styler hearts up in record time 25 seconds and has an automatic switch off function if they're unused after 30 minutes. There's also a protective plate included in the box for extra safety. An absolute joy to use and the plates are so smooth they glide through my hair in one sweep without tangling.the ghd air dryer is the first professional salon quality hairdryer from ghd. The shape and weight of the dryer are excellent and the design will suit either right or left handed users. There's a powerful motor inside the dryer 1800w ac which means quicker drying times and it's comfortable to move around as it's light and has a long 3m power cord. My hair tends to have a lot of static because it's so fine but this dryer is super fast and locks in moisture for excellent results. Has several power and temperature controls plus a cool shot button which gives off a blast of cool air to set curls or more ornate styles.these are both superb products and the presentation is so good they certainly have the 'wow' factor. More than happy to recommend.
I purchased this ghd styler as a gift for my wife replacing a pretty generic model. She has been extremely pleased with the results. The styler heats up in just a few seconds beeps to let you know it's ready. It has worked very well for her long thick hair. The other great feature of this styler is its automatic shut off. There were numerous times when she'd forget to turn off her old styler but with this ghd there's never a worry since it turns itself off. She's had nothing negative to say about the styler is pleased with its handling durability.
I have owned this straightener for 9 years now and I absolutely love it use it multiple times a week.
this is the original because I registered it with ghd. The flat iron is light weight and you only have to go over your hair once. I am an indian with long and very frizzy hair and this flat iron does the trick. It leaves the hair straight and smooth highly recommended.
it heats instantly and easy to handle. I love it
Best straightner I've ever used. Heats up quick. Perfect for straightning curls or beach waves. Very impressed.

The best hair straighteners should offer you adjustable temperature settings so you can customize it depending on your hair type. This is incredibly important if you have thin/fine, delicate, or damaged hair because it allows you to ensure that the iron doesn’t get too hot for your hair. Basically, having the ability to set the temperature/heat setting gives you more control. But if you prefer to have a set temperature, then you should take note just how much heat your hair can take and how hot your hair straightener can get.
so turns out the straightener was real. Thank you so much for the staple beauty tool makes your hair so silky and manageable. I use mine strictly for straightening.

Upper-class people have always used their hairstyles to signal wealth and status. Wealthy Roman women wore complex hairstyles that needed the labours of several people to maintain them,[44] and rich people have also often chosen hairstyles that restricted or burdened their movement, making it obvious that they did not need to work.[45] Wealthy people's hairstyles used to be at the cutting edge of fashion, setting the styles for the less wealthy. But today, the wealthy are generally observed to wear their hair in conservative styles that date back decades prior.[46]

Makes my hair much shinier than my lower end flat iron about 30 range . I have wavy hair which straightens easily but will often gain wave as the day goes on. This makes my hair stay straight through the night and into the next day. Heats up fast and has the great option to use for curls waves. Mine was verified by ghd as authentic when I registered it.
love it totally worth it

These ultra-smooth plates are great for straightening stubborn strands like curls and waves and are also ideal for creating natural, finished curls (similar to a curling iron) and even beachy waves. By gliding effortlessly across hairs of all types, without pulling or breakage, the ISA Professional Titanium Flat Iron has the potential to leave your hair looking and feeling healthier after each use.
I confess I am a ghd devotee having bought my first straighteners in 2006. Theyve come a l ong way since this beautiful set of professional irons and a really good hairdryer will make a fantastic gift for anyone who does their hair.packaged in a solid dull gold box which oozes quality and has a really posh air the matching items look so stylish and dont disappont in use. Teh styler has a new hinge shape and different tips this makes for smooth use and less catching in the hair. I was impressed that heat up time is a few seconds and the auto cutoff works too. A far cry from the old days of waiting ages for heat up and then panicking on the train to work thinking I'd left them on the hairdryer really is another level though. It's balanced beautifully and feels light but firm in the hand. It manages to dry my hair without frizzing it all over the place and quickly too. Using these tools makes hair styling actually a pleasure and I love the smooth straight results however much people tell me straight hair is on the way out.
The high-density bristles on the professional-style nano comb are designed to prevent curly hair from catching in the teeth. However, that also means straightening your hair can take longer than it does with the Glamsfields or AsaVea, because you may need to make more passes with the brush. Heat-up is fast (60 seconds) and the heat is evenly-distributed thanks to metal ceramic technology. The double-ionic generator works to prevent frizz and split ends.

this flat iron is the best one I've ever had. It heats up very quickly. It actually makes my hair shiny. It is worth every dollar I spent on it

the best straightener that i’ve ever used.
product arrived on time ghd's in my opinion continue to be the best straighteners on the market. Absolutely fabulous 5 5. Would recommend to anyone.

I’ve had the ghd straightener for nearly seven years love it

so nice

I bought this knowing that it had great reviews and hoping that I wouldn't receive a fake like some others had reported in their reviews. I was fortunate enough to receive the real ghd classic styler successfully registered it on the ghd website and have loved it every single time I used it.i am half puerto rican with very naturally curly hair and this works wonders. It offers a all day straightening power and works wonderfully when I use it to curl the ends of my hair also.if you can take the risk of possibly getting a fake I highly recommend this product. Well worth every penny.
This set contains a ghd gold styler a heatproof plate guard a heat resistant mat a zip bag that contains a paddle brush and two large hair clips the zip bag press studs onto the mat and the whole lot rolls together for storage . This comes in a gorgeous gift presentation box that has a hidden magnetic fastening you may want to keep this to store it in as everything fits so nicely. Anyone who received this as a present should really appreciate it.the included instructions are brief and whilst they tell you how to turn the styler on and off and cover health and safety information they do not tell you how to get the best out of the styler or how to actually use it on your hair. The assumption seems to be you already know how to straighten your hair because you already have a ghd styler or you've used another brand before. I think this is a shame and seems a bit of an oversight as this gift set could be someone's first styler. I've had cheaper straighteners in the past which had quite a detailed page on how to get the best out of the straighteners . Yes you can find this information on the internet and on youtube but sometimes it's just nice to have it there to read when you open the box.having said that they do reach temperature quickly and straighten well you can tell why it's the brand leader. My previous straighteners you could alter the temperature but I'm quite happy with how these work at a set temperature and it's one less thing to faff around with. It has a 30 minute safety cut off for me this time could be shorter but at least it does have a cut off. I love that it comes with both a heat proof mat so many products just don't seem to and the heat proof plate guard as well.overall a gorgeous hair straightening gift set that anyone not already owning a ghd styler would love to have provided they do want to straighten their hair.
Weighing just over 1 pound, the BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Straightening Iron is the lightest hair straightener on our list of the best flat irons! This lightweight design makes it a great choice for users that are constantly on the go, and even when traveling. In fact, this model might make a wonderful “second straightener” for someone that wants to keep their locks looking fine on the road without toting around their heavier at-home hair straightener!
had no problems registering. This is my second ghd styler. My first one is almost 10 years old and still works great. Had to buy a second when my daughter took my first one to college with her. These used to be super pricey back in the day but are very affordable now. Hope they are as durable and well made. Looks almost identical to my old one.
During the First World War, women around the world started to shift to shorter hairstyles that were easier to manage. In the 1920s women started for the first time to bob, shingle and crop their hair, often covering it with small head-hugging cloche hats. In Korea, the bob was called tanbal.[28] Women began marcelling their hair, creating deep waves in it using heated scissor irons. Durable permanent waving became popular also in this period:[29] it was an expensive, uncomfortable and time-consuming process, in which the hair was put in curlers and inserted into a steam or dry heat machine. During the 1930s women began to wear their hair slightly longer, in pageboys, bobs or waves and curls.[13]

I brought these for my sister for her birthday in april. She lives the other side of the country so I had to get them delivered straight to her. The delivery was very fast and they left out the receipt as requested gift option so my sister wouldn't know how much they cost. She's been wanting a set of ghds for years and has had disappointment with 2 sets of fakes so the first thing she did was register them on the ghd website and all genuine she's since told me that they were definitely worth the wait they're easy to use quick to heat up and turn off after a while if you forget to turn them off which is very good for her since she forgets half the time definitely worth the money.
