love it totally worth it
this is my first ghd flat iron. My stylist recommended the product for how fast it heats up very light weight and how great it is for my hair. Deva concepts was also fabulous in shipping and packaging. I registered the product with ghd as some reviews indicated the product was not a ghd . You can trust deva concepts they deserve a 10 star rating
4 Out of 5 for ghd am I mad well not quite. These are excellent and certainly professional level instruments. Balanced good weight easy to use except and thoroughly well designed.hairdryer is quiet ish with more than enough power and settings to deal with most types of hair and styles. All in all an absolute delight.straighteners are almost perfect this is where the the small problem lies. First of all the good bits. Solid construction good smooth plates well balanced. Now the issue the settings. I know these are probably are professional and my gripe may be invalid but the heat setting is not high enough. Could be a decision made people who use them all day but for a once a day use I'd have preferred to be able to turn the heat up.
I got a real product works very fast do not damage hair and I just love it very good price

I was worried about this product after reading several reviews stating that this flat iron was a fake or not actually a genuine ghd but because the price was so much less on amazon versus trade secret nordstrom etc. I decided to take my chances...and I'm glad I did I went online to register it. After entering the 2 required codes located on the hologram tag attached to the product I was happy to discover that it is a genuine ghd flat iron I have had a chi for many years and I actually think this flat iron works better on my naturally curly hair.
these work very well as do all ghd straighteners. I have used ghds for years and once I discovered them I never looked back. I can straighten my hair in half the time compared to other similar products and my hair feels better and less damaged afterwards too. I have also received fantastic after sales service from ghd before as well so I trust the brand. These are no different they are well made and the design looks classy while they straighteners themselves do a good job and didn't leave my hair feeling frazzled and fried. The kit itself is decent in the box there were the straighteners of course a heat mat a bag to keep the straighteners in a protective 'end' to put over the hot parts of the straighteners two professional hair clips to hold your hair back while straightening and a paddle brush. These seem to all fit in the bag so it is very useful if you are travelling or even just storing it between uses. The cable is long enough to make using them a doddle and the auto switch off will help ease your mind if you are on your way to work and wondering if you have turned them off despite all this I have knocked a star off purely because they don't work as well as my ghd pinks these leave my hair feeling smooth and silky and the gold set just doesn't seem to do this quite as well. Nevertheless I would still buy them over any other brand out there.
Great flat iron does the job well.
bought for my wife to replace the last pair of ghd. She loves them
These are not a good as the origanal ghds. I use them for curling but it’s as if they don’t get hot. They don’t seem as smooth on the hair either
If you’ve ever used a CHI hair straightener before, then you’re probably pretty well acquainted with the turn dial temperature control of models’ past. While this dial design made it easy to switch on your hair straightener each morning (even before you have had your morning coffee!), it also made it all too easy to accidentally change the temperature during use.
Since the 1970s, women have worn their hair in a wide variety of fairly natural styles. In the 1980s, women pulled back their hair with scrunchies, stretchy ponytail holders made from cloth over fabric bands. Women also often wear glittery ornaments today, as well as claw-style barrettes used to secure ponytails and other upswept or partially upswept hairstyles.[14] Today, women and men can choose from a broad range of hairstyles, but they are still expected to wear their hair in ways that conform to gender norms: in much of the world, men with long hair and women whose hair doesn't appear carefully groomed may face various forms of discrimination, including harassment, social shaming or workplace discrimination.[35] This is somewhat less true of African-American men, who wear their hair in a variety of styles that overlap with those of African-American women, including box braids and cornrows fastened with rubber bands and dreadlocks.[36]
love it...Worth It...This product would be great for thin or short hair and fantastic for swirls....I loved this styler two in one straightens and curles perfect cureles and beach waves takes me 5 min to straighten n style my hair I have pretty stabborn hair and most of all I like that it has only one button on/off so I don't have to think what temperature to choose )

Good Hair Day, commonly known as ghd, is a manufacturer of hair care products based in Leeds, United Kingdom.[1][2] ghd leads the market for hair straightening irons and is sold in over 50,000 salons worldwide.[3][4] The company was the first hair tool sponsor of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and is endorsed by celebrities including Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jennifer Aniston.[5][6]

this was my 2nd one and I couldn't be without it
When using a brush straightener, you should keep several things in mind. First, always apply some kind of a thermal protectant. Comb your locks properly. Second, be aware of the hot bristles – you don’t want them to touch your scalp. Third, don’t hold a brush straightener as a regular brush however tempting and easy this seems. You should hold it kind of upside down so that bristles won’t touch your skin. To straighten a strand in one pass, hold the brush tight to the surface of the hair. More detailed guide on how to use a hair straightening brush you can find in this article.
The LumaBella Keratin Dual Touch has been found to give 50% less breakage, splitting, and damage compared to other straighteners without heat sensor technology! While your hair straightener can’t repair years of damage overnight, this model can help restore the natural shine of your hair and allows you to keep styling by reducing additional damage by up to 50%! This means that it is safe for daily styling.
Its a very nice product... It came as I spected… I recommended… quality 95 ... We are using it with no trouble at all 100 ok…
I don’t think the flat iron as a styling tool needs any introduction, and many of you have probably used one at some point. I know how hard it is to pick the perfect styling tool for your hair – at least, the one that’s good enough. So, to make it a bit easier for you, I’ve decided to draw up a list of top 10 flat irons. It’s based on both, my own experience and other people’s flat irons reviews. So, I’m trying to be objective and bias-free here.
The V Gold Max Styler from ghd has great 5* reviews on lookfantastic; making it one of our all-time best hair straighteners. The larger plates on the styler make it ideal for thicker and curlier hair which needs extra heat to fully smooth the fibres. The contoured edges and wider plates also help create beautifully loose curls and waves; making it a great multi-tasking styler should you want a product which does more than straighten your hair.
Love this ghd does a very good job and heats up very quickly. Really good purchase and well worth it.

If you are looking for volume for your fine hair then I would recommend the Vidal Sassoon VSHA6471UK which is a superb hot air styler.  Designed especially to give lift and volume from the root it will give you enviable curls and waves.  It is supplied with two brush sizes 19mm and 25mm so it’s ideal for shorter styles too (use the smaller brush) and gives a pleasing smooth finish that is tangle free.  You cannot fault the price either, on Amazon.co.uk this retails below the price of a salon blow-out.
The bristles on a hair brush straightener should also be considered. Nylon is best for sensitive scalps or hair that doesn’t become a bird’s nest in the blink of an eye. Some straighteners have bristles tipped with tiny balls made of silicone, rubber or other materials, and they’re a better choice for women whose hair tangles easily because they help “cut through” the tangles without snagging. They’re more comfortable, too.

* * * Update: After returning the above-described item, I bought a ghd Classic Styler in-person from one of their authorized salon dealers (info at ghd's site). When I went to register the hologram and date codes, the ghd site accepted them on the first try. Also, the second unit I bought HAD country-of-manufacture information on the box and on the date sticker (made in China, which some other comments said isn't legit, that seems to be wrong). My unit labeled made-in-China is the one that registered successfully with ghd. Also my second purchase - from the authorized dealer - had a lot of information printed on the bottom of the box, including a bar code, web info, consumer information phone number, design info and information about the product. The unit I purchased from Amazon had NO printing on the bottom of the otherwise authentic-looking box. Draw your own conclusions. Bottom-line: if you buy a ghd styler here, double and triple-check that your unit is for real.
this edition of ghd has luxury christmas present written all over it plus points impressive packaging that is eye catching made of heavy cardboard and signalling a luxury product.quilted case with mirrored blue button and separator for the straighteners and it’s flex to be kept separately.quality heat may that is detachable from the case.beautifully designed straighteners in the same electric blue as the packaging with a silicone heat shield at the end.safety features cut off after 30 mins and a noise alerts you to them being plugged in being switched on or being switched off.the switch is inside the straightener so that you don’t accidentally turn it off as you are straightening your hair.plates glide through hair creating straightness without effort and as they are at the optimum 185 degrees without that crimped look at the top where you first inserted the plates.improvements that would’ve made it a 5 I needed a slightly longer flex maybe another 1 2 metre.i miss the option to choose the temperature that I had on my old straighteners. I appreciate their advice about 185 degrees being the setting that works best but I have very fine hair which is also frizzy and like to have a choice so that I can accommodate what my hair is up to that day.

I was happy the moment I got this its so smooth when you use it was abit caught off guard by the different power cord but that was quickly fixed but nonetheless I love this piece of a styler
An upgrade from their since discontinued Eclipse Styler, you won't be tempted to heat this flatiron up to 450 degrees, because the temperature dial is always stuck on one number: 365 (the ideal heat to mold hair without frying it, according to the scientists at GHD). Underneath each of those 365-degree plates are three fancy sensors that measure the density of the hair in the iron so that it can maintain consistent heat regardless of the chunk of hair you grab. The result? Silky, shiny hair with zero frizz.

love the new silicone cover fir the hot iron. Makes it easy to use in the gym pre work and shove straight in bag without worry.new curved barrel makes for easy curls. Best irons i’ve tried.

I had heard from a number of people that the ghd was the goddess of straighteners but I must admit I was sceptical. I bought a cheap straightener a few years ago and rarely used it as it took ages to heat up and wasn't very effective. Finally having had enough of looking a mess I decided to go for it and try the ghd and I'm delighted to report it lives up to its reputation. It heats in a matter of seconds and it glides through my hair quickly and smoothly.one little niggle for me is that ghd didn't supply a little bag to store the straighteners considering the price surely they could have thrown one in for the sake of customer contentment however apart from that it's a first rate implement.i got compliments the first time I used it mind you I had been looking like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards up to then. So thanks ghd for unveiling the new sleek me
best styling product I have ever purchased.
There are less expensive stylers but if you use one everyday you want one that works very well.this one works great. It's well built to begin with. The grip is easy to hold and it springs open when you aren't clamping it. There's a very long 9 foot cord and unlike any others I've seen it connects to the styler with a swivel. That makes it easy to maneuver especially for styling someone else's hair if you need to walk around them and go at it from all sides. The other thing that makes this extremely useful is how quickly it heats up and is ready to go. Turn it on and it beeps and then in under half a minute it beeps again twice signaling it is ready.you can straighten hair very quickly and it does an impressive job. Curling is easy too whether you go for tight curls or wavy hair.if you leave it sitting and forget to turn it off it shuts off automatically after half an hour. I almost think that it would be better to shut off after 15 minutes inactive. Given how quickly it heats up that wouldn't be a bother if you happened to step away too long inadvertently. Easy to use built to last and built safe this heats up quickly and does a good job.
the order came quickly and as I live in france I found the plug system smart the straightener does wonders in very little time even though I have long hair I no longer need a brush and either a third hand to hold the mirror while doing my hair at the back of my head or twist my head and hands so as to hold brush plus hair dryer to do the back. I just hold a mirror in one hand stand back to the mirror and with the other hand hold the ghd which I just keep passing through my hair until it looks silky. A marvel thanks ghd
I bought this one as a back up just in case I had a problem with my other ghd. Well I'm glad that I did since the other one crapped out on me. This one is working great so far.
the ghd classic 1 inch styler is the bomb it heats up in seconds after being turned on feels balanced and streamlined in my hand has a swivel cord that never gets tangled and safety guards at the tip to prevent accidental burns. I can now style my long hair in half the time it formerly took.
If your hair is fine, fragile or damaged you have to be careful with the temperature. Your locks require the lower heat to reduce the damage. The maximum heat level that you can apply on thin or damaged hair is 350°F. But maybe you should start with lower temperature, something like 170°F – and see if this would work. Also, thin damaged hair requires a flat iron with narrow plates so that you will be able to straighten it in one pass.
I brought these for my sister for her birthday in april. She lives the other side of the country so I had to get them delivered straight to her. The delivery was very fast and they left out the receipt as requested gift option so my sister wouldn't know how much they cost. She's been wanting a set of ghds for years and has had disappointment with 2 sets of fakes so the first thing she did was register them on the ghd website and all genuine she's since told me that they were definitely worth the wait they're easy to use quick to heat up and turn off after a while if you forget to turn them off which is very good for her since she forgets half the time definitely worth the money.

Great product fast delivery thanks
7 21 14 I purchased this flat iron on may 25 2013. I've used this product every day since then with no issues. Also the styler is not a fake and I was able to register it on ghd's website with no problem. I only buy products that are ship and sold from amazon.com only maybe that is why so many people have received fakes I'm not sure. I have course thick hair and this flat iron has been wonderful. The plates are hot but doesn't damage my hair or the ends. I would recommend this flat iron.
I purchased these ghd straightners a few days ago and have been overly impressed with them. They are so far deinately the best pair of straightners I have ever purchased. My main concern was that they wouldnt be genuine but the ghd website said amazon was an approved seller and since haveing the straightners I have been able to register them so they must be genuine. I would definately recommend the straightners
