It wouldn’t be fair to highlight a straightening brush that’s great for thick hair without also selecting a product that’s best for extremely thin or damaged hair. The MiroPure has 16 different heat settings and is capable of reaching 450° to straighten all types of thick and normal hair. What’s most notable, though, is that it can straighten hair at temperatures as low as 170°, perfect for very thin hair that’s likely to be fried at higher temperatures. It’s difficult to find a model suitable for that type of hair; the review team recommends the MiroPure.

works great love it
The Apalus is another flat heated hair brush, primarily for use on dry hair. It applies constant heat when you turn it on, although it takes longer to warm up than models which use metal ceramic heating technology (this one simply uses ceramic plates). It can reach 180°F in 60 seconds, but will take three minutes to hit its top temperature of 450°. That can make this unit frustrating to use if you have to straighten thick hair.
I absolutely love this thing best purchase ever I have dark annoying thick hair I'm asian and so a lion's mane look after hair drying isn't the best after using this ghd I would never turn back to a normal straightener I bought this in feb 2011 and after a year or so bad luck for me the ghd stopped working but without any hassle I sent it back to the manufacturers and they send me out a new one hassle free the 2nd one has had no problems think it may have been a product issue.i highly recommend this
Unlike the plain Jane ceramic plates of most hair straighteners, the tourmaline-infused ceramic plates in the CHI Air Expert Classic Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron are designed to keep your hair healthy during styling. Specifically, the tourmaline helps to more evenly distribute the heat during use which, in turn, creates a higher number of negative ions for shinier and healthier looking hair with each use. This reduces the static electricity created, meaning you get a sleeker, smoother style.
In 2001, ghd revolutionised the way women styled their hair with the launch of its first styler – a professional tool designed for salon use that could also be easily used at home. ghd has continued to be a leader and innovator in hair styling with its range of professional brushes, ghd Style styling products and the launch of its first hairdryer, ghd air™. I have very curly hair my father african american and my mother is hispanic...i have had many hair straighteners in my time this one is by far the best one. I always used to but 2in ones but with a 1in you can get a lot closer to the scalp. My amazing hair stylist recommended this to me and im glad she did. Mine is till working perfectly fine. She has had hers for years so they must last a long time. The timer is great it shuts itself off if it is not being used for a certain amount of time. It also heats up to the max in 20 30 seconds so you dont have to let it heat up for a long time. Its great get it.
If you are unsure what exactly your hair type is (or if it has changed over the years, which happens more often than you’d think!), check out this incredible overview by the hair professionals at Redken! Don’t stress if you have combination hair (i.e., fine and curly or thin and straight) either; we recommend choosing a hair straightener based on your biggest hair complaint and focusing on that problem first. So, if your curls are driving your nuts, you will want to select a hair straightener with higher temperatures, thin hair needs moisture, etc. You’ll find that your entire hair type can usually benefit from the extra TLC!

The FemJolie flat straightening brush is convenient because of its lightweight, less than one pound. It’s extremely flexible because it allows you to select temperatures as low as 176° (too low for most users, but not bad for a brief touch-up) and as high as 450° (the right setting for those with very thick hair) in increments of 9°. The brush auto-locks at your selected temperature so you can’t burn your hair by mistake and so it automatically heats to the right temperature every time you use it; you can easily override the auto-lock if you choose.
Nothing much to say except for this is the best investment I've ever made it leaves my hair so perfect and I love that it goes into sleep mode. Such a cool feature
I love it so much I hope it never break
beautiful looking and feel very good quality. They are designed to be very comfortable to hold and I love that they switch on and heat up in seconds. They come with a mat to protect surfaces from burns and a good travel case. The cable is a decent length. Best of all they do a brilliant job on my hair and don’t seem to dry it up despite daily use. Unlike my old straighteners I have managed to avoid burnin myself too.
The oldest known reproduction of hair braiding lies back about 30,000 years: the Venus of Willendorf, now known in academia as the Woman of Willendorf, of a female figurine from the Paleolithic, estimated to have been made between about 28,000 and 25,000 BCE.[8] The Venus of Brassempouy counts about 25,000 years old and indisputably shows hairstyling.
From the time of the Roman Empire[citation needed] until the Middle Ages, most women grew their hair as long as it would naturally grow. It was normally little styled by cutting, as women's hair was tied up on the head and covered on most occasions when outside the home with a snood, kerchief or veil; for an adult woman to wear uncovered and loose hair in the street was often restricted to prostitutes. Braiding and tying the hair was common. In the 16th century, women began to wear their hair in extremely ornate styles, often decorated with pearls, precious stones, ribbons and veils. Women used a technique called "lacing" or "taping," in which cords or ribbons were used to bind the hair around their heads.[14] During this period, most of the hair was braided and hidden under wimples, veils or couvrechefs. In the later half of the 15th century and on into the 16th century a very high hairline on the forehead was considered attractive, and wealthy women frequently plucked out hair at their temples and the napes of their necks, or used depilatory cream to remove it, if it would otherwise be visible at the edges of their hair coverings.[15] Working-class women in this period wore their hair in simple styles.[14]
I got tired of trying to do a professional blowout on myself using my hair dryer with a regular round bush. My hair always came out frizzy, burnt, and just dead. After searching for a hot air brush I came upon the John Frieda brand and was amazed by the reviews, so I decided to give it a try. When the product finally arrived I was so happy! I tried it right away. I recommend letting your hair air dry first and foremost. If you're like me and it takes your roots forever to dry then go ahead and use your regular hair dryer with the flat nozzle thingy to dry your scalp first and just let it air dry. I was extremely happy with how easy it is to use.
The mysterious product that smells earthy and looks like wet sand… is good for your hair? The answer is: YES! Think of it this way; the more natural smelling, the more natural the ingredients. Clay products DO contain clay, mostly what’s called bentonite clay, which has highly absorbent properties. Clay is best used for building volume, absorbing oil and grease and drawing out impurities that can cause HAIR LOSS! Barbers choose to style with clay over other products because of its clean feel, density and ability to sculpt super flexible hairstyles. Clay products are NOT sticky, which you will find in some waxes and pomades.

I am so happy since I bought my ghd. I should have bought it before. It is so easy to work with it love it
Couldn't survive without my ghds recommended to all who want straight hair

The GVP Digital Ceramic 1-inch Styling Iron made it on our list because it heats up quickly, doesn’t snag or pull your hair, and features a digital display that you rarely see in models at this price point. The temperature settings range from 160 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. You can change heat settings in 10-degree increments. You can easily check the display to see whether the plates have reached your desired temperature because the display is in real time. It comes with a 9-foot long cord so you can plug it far away from a mirror if necessary.

Negative ions have been a longtime fan favorite in the hair care industry, and it is no surprise that this same technology would appear in our top picks for the best hair straightener. Negative ions have been found to reduce static and frizz while locking in moisture, and the same goes for your hair when you use the CHI Air Expert Classic Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron!

“This flat iron is amazing! It is so small, it almost looks like a flat iron for a doll. Don’t let the size fool you. I have medium-thick, naturally curly hair, and this iron had no problem getting all of my hair straight. If you are used to a flat iron, you should have no problem using this. This is the best flat iron for traveling, the gym, or stashing in your desk at work. I would highly recommend this flat iron.”
It may surprise you what less than $50 can get you when shopping for flat irons at stores like Target, Ulta, Amazon and more, but trust the hundreds of reviews calling these bargain buys the real deal. Especially if you consider using hot tools only when you need an extra level of polish, or to quickly smooth out hair when you're in a pinch, the industry's cheaper picks are more than suitable to your needs — don't bother shelling out a significant portion of your paycheck for a high-priced hot tool that'll go unused more often than not.
“I debated whether to buy this product or the more expensive titanium flat irons and decided to give these a try. I have been natural for about two years … But could never find flat irons that would tame my hair. GIRL, I am telling you these flat irons are like that. One pass through over freshly washed and blow-dried hair and I was in awe. Why go to a salon? I did my own silk press and a week later, I still got shine and body. Best iron I’ve had in years, and I love the color.”
ghd launched its first advertising campaign in 2003, as the sponsor of the British reality television show The Salon.[20] The company has also featured prominently on Australia’s Next Top Model.[21] In November 2009, ghd ran a popular series of advertisements titled ‘Twisted Fairytales', including depictions of characters such as Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood, and Cinderella with the tagline "You can do anything with your hair".[22][23] Singer Katy Perry was named the face of ghd in December 2011.[24][25]
I've had this flat iron for 3.5 years now I ordered from this exact listing as well . I'm not sure if it's fake or real but either way it is the best flat iron I have ever used. I have fine thin hard to straighten and curl hair and it works perfect on me plus on my mom with thick curly hair. It is still working great so it lasts a long time. If it ever does go out on me I will be repurchasing the same one
After I wore out the brushes on the first two, I was looking for another brand that might have a better, longer lasting brush. I found the Hot Revolver by Martino Cartier. This was a very poor product and extremely overpriced. The brush would not glide through my hair and it was worthless for smoothing. The brush started to "click" and would no longer spin while in my hair. Terrible product.
Ghd's are the best for a reason I brought these for my fianc which she loves and quote ghd's are the best this was her best christmas present out of the bunch delivery was fast too
Once again, the key to this brush’s performance is a big comb which grabs large volumes of hair, with a curved base that funnels hair right to the comb. It also delivers heat via metal ceramic (MCH) technology; the combination guarantees very fast hair straightening, as it does with Groom+Style’s #1 straightening brush. Heat-up time for the AsaVea is about 60 seconds, slightly longer than it is with the Glamfields but not bad at all.
after reading other reviews about people not getting an authentic ghd flat iron I contacted my niece who bought one for my sister at the retail outlet sephora and asked her to send me the sku number off the box. Once I got that I was able to look through the models available on amazon and buy one that is authentic. Other people's reviews had convinced me to make sure I was getting an authentic ghd flat iron. I am grateful to them for posting their review so I could make an informed purchase. I really like this flat iron. I had used my sister's ghd when I was visiting her last year so I already knew this was the brand for me. I have very think hair and the revlon and conair brands just weren't cuttin' it.

I love this machine and ordering from this company was easy it arrived promptly very happy camper

I received the classic styler by ghd today and it is 100 authentic. I registered it on the ghd website and the registration was confirmed. This styler retails for 185 and amazon had it for 109.it works great make sure to order from amazon and not a third party.

Literally the best flat iron I have used to date. The heat is always consistent no matter if my hair is wet or dry. I love how it heats up and beeps as soon as its ready in 30 seconds or so. I only have to spend one pass in each section.
This is the best one . Trust me my tried them all .
the ghd works wonders on my hair. I have naturally wavy hair that can be difficult to straighten but this product takes care of business. I am definitely hooked definitely worth the money.
Tangle Teezer is an innovative tool that painlessly and easily removes tangles and knots as it styles and dries hair. The uniquely designed teeth flex and flick as they glide through hair, minimizing breakage, splitting, and damage. With patented technology, it adds shine and reboots style on the go. Ideal for use on wet or dry hair, it can be used for all hair types, especially fragile or color-treated hair, extensions, weaves, and the fine, tangle-prone hair of children. The click-on, click-off cover protects the tool’s teeth from dirt and damage.
My husband bought this for me as I was still using my expensive australian straightener here in the states. We knew how good amazon's return policy was so we ordered it knowing that we may possibly be buying a fake. Had a problem registering it on the website the first time only due to their site being temporarily under maintenance. No problems the 2nd time. The only difference with my product is the colour of the plates. Mine are black the picture shows cream . Pretty sure this is just because the photo is older.no complaints so far.
Heats up fast. Does not rip hair or get hair caught in crevices. Works on thick curly middle eastern hair. Works great and quick on wavy hair also
The bristles on a hair brush straightener should also be considered. Nylon is best for sensitive scalps or hair that doesn’t become a bird’s nest in the blink of an eye. Some straighteners have bristles tipped with tiny balls made of silicone, rubber or other materials, and they’re a better choice for women whose hair tangles easily because they help “cut through” the tangles without snagging. They’re more comfortable, too.
The manufacturer backs up all of this with a 4-year warranty. And the price ain’t to shabby either! So, any problems? Well, some owners have reported that the reservoir leaks whenever you push the vapor button. The good news is that some have noted no difference between using the vapor technology and not using it. The result is still the same – beautifully sleek and shiny hair. Also, due to the reservoir, it is quite bulky and a bit heavy.
I am absolutely in love with this ghd styler I had tried the chi first and returned it right away... This one does what I expected and more it straightens my hair curls it and keeps it healthy it is worth every penny I paid ....

I was told by my stylist to get this flat iron because my chi was totally worn out. I was a little skeptical after reading reviews that some were fakes but I ordered the sold by amazon one and I was able to register it at ghd's website. I am definitely so happy that I chose to get this styler. It is awesome. It's the one and done styler. I don't have to keep going over and over my hair to get it straight so I know it's better for my hair overall. Plus you can't beat the fact that it turns itself off after 30 minutes. It takes away my did I remember to turn it off fear every time I left the house after straightening my hair. I also have really curly hair and this makes my hair soft smooth and shiny. Definitely recommend
I have had this straightener for months now and I love it. I have really thick hair and it gets the job done quickly.pros heats up incredibly fast beeps to tell you when it's ready doesn't fry your haircons no ability to adjust temperature non movable irons as opposed to amika which I had before I would definitely recommend this for anyone who's looking for a simple but high quality straightener.
Works good nice lil hello beep when it's turned on. Solid even sufficient heat but not scalding. Glides through the hair smoothly with a good feel. Features automatic shut off and extra long 9 ft cord too.high quality flat iron all around. Will update in a few months to report on it's durability after regular use.
seconds and it smoothes my hair with ease I would recommend this flat iron to anyone
It’s always good hair day with this
I brought these for my sister for her birthday in april. She lives the other side of the country so I had to get them delivered straight to her. The delivery was very fast and they left out the receipt as requested gift option so my sister wouldn't know how much they cost. She's been wanting a set of ghds for years and has had disappointment with 2 sets of fakes so the first thing she did was register them on the ghd website and all genuine she's since told me that they were definitely worth the wait they're easy to use quick to heat up and turn off after a while if you forget to turn them off which is very good for her since she forgets half the time definitely worth the money.
