“The temperature of the iron can determine the curl pattern on hair that tends to fall easily, as you might need a higher heat to lock in the pattern closer to the root,” she added. “The internal components of the irons also can determine the curl pattern, and that is why it is important to invest in custom, high-end tools that contain internal heaters that go the entire length of the barrel. The higher the heat, the stronger the curl will essentially be. Low heat will produce a softer finish.”

Bought these and have validated with ghd and they are authentic. My last pair of the same model lasted 13 years I travel internationally a couple of times each year and it is so easy to just plug into an adapter for the same power abroad.
Each flat iron has its own 15-digit code on hologram which can be verified at GHD website. - One 1" ghd flat iron with cap. Smoother gold plates glide effortlessly through the hair to make straightening on all hair types and lengths even quicker and easier, while their contoured edges help to create perfect curls and waves, all with a high shine, salon-style finish.

heats up so quickly takes less than a minute I swear works like a dream. I love mine.
An upgrade from their since discontinued Eclipse Styler, you won't be tempted to heat this flatiron up to 450 degrees, because the temperature dial is always stuck on one number: 365 (the ideal heat to mold hair without frying it, according to the scientists at GHD). Underneath each of those 365-degree plates are three fancy sensors that measure the density of the hair in the iron so that it can maintain consistent heat regardless of the chunk of hair you grab. The result? Silky, shiny hair with zero frizz.
Ordered on 15 dec 2016 got it today warrenty garanteed and validated 18 dec2016 for 2 years
Perukes or periwigs for men were introduced into the English-speaking world with other French styles when Charles II was restored to the throne in 1660, following a lengthy exile in France. These wigs were shoulder-length or longer, imitating the long hair that had become fashionable among men since the 1620s. Their use soon became popular in the English court. The London diarist Samuel Pepys recorded the day in 1665 that a barber had shaved his head and that he tried on his new periwig for the first time, but in a year of plague he was uneasy about wearing it:
Between 27 BC and 102 AD, in Imperial Rome, women wore their hair in complicated styles: a mass of curls on top, or in rows of waves, drawn back into ringlets or braids. Eventually noblewomen's hairstyles grew so complex that they required daily attention from several slaves and a stylist in order to be maintained. The hair was often lightened using wood ash, unslaked lime and sodium bicarbonate, or darkened with copper filings, oak-apples or leeches marinated in wine and vinegar.[12] It was augmented by wigs, hairpieces and pads, and held in place by nets, pins, combs and pomade. Under the Byzantine Empire, noblewomen covered most of their hair with silk caps and pearl nets.[13]
it was real it registered and everything my wife loves it

I read a number of reviews before purchasing this flat iron. I am happy to say that I was able to register mine on the ghd website with no trouble. I used it this morning and I love it. I have been having trouble with my bangs looking like they are fried. First my hair dresser and I though it was stress since I had just lost my husband three year later it's still happening. We have narrowed it down to hair spray building up and or my cheap flat iron. I am not longer using hair spray and am using a shampoo to cleanse my hair of any products and I purchased this flat iron. Wish me luck that this well help me get rid of the frizz in my bangs.
Think of this as an updated version of your regular hairbrush. Its double negative ion technology gives your hair that glass-like shine without any static whatsoever. Its ceramic bristles with nylon cool-tips help keep damage to a minimum by releasing far-infrared heat — in a mere moment, it penetrates the outer layer of the hair cuticle and heats it from the inside out.
I have fine hair but this is the only straightener that works so amazing totally worth every penny

my wife loves it very awesome. She looks great
“Works great. Various and high-temp settings. Heats up very fast! My daughter and I both use this. I’m also a hairdresser, and this works great on my clients of all hair types. It’s easy to curl with it as well. I love curling with a flat iron. Great size and ceramic is my favorite, as it glides nice and smooth and heats evenly. It has a swivel cord, so it doesn’t tangle. Auto shut-off in case you leave it on. So far, so good.”

the product is nice safe and easy to use.

Hanz de Fuko’s Modify Pomade is 100% water based. A water based product is easy to wash out but still keeps your hair in place and shining to the max! We recommend using this product for medium hold and high shine. If you want to go full on extreme hold and high shine, then use Heavymade. Like our Modify Pomade, this water base formula goes on clean and heavy. Also great for edge control on African-American hair.
my styler seems to be legitimate and has the shiny sticker and seems to be correct in all other ways. It does indeed work so that really is all that matters. I was given this free for an honest review. I have to say overall I like this styler. It is the perfect size for my hair as it is short and medium in thickness. The styler it self is a little heavy to hold up for long periods so just be warned about that and it rolls on my counter top. It heats up quick and works great though and I love that I can curl or straighten and it has an auto shut off in case I forget to turn it off that is the best feature to any styler in my opinion so I do not burn my house down . Also this one in particular looks very nice not that it matters for functionality but it is a pretty iron. I was able to straighten my hair in far less time than my previous straightener and it seems also I am not using nearly as much heat. So I love this styler and my only complaint is that it is a bit clunky to hold.
This edition of ghd has luxury christmas present written all over it plus points impressive packaging that is eye catching made of heavy cardboard and signalling a luxury product.quilted case with mirrored blue button and separator for the straighteners and it’s flex to be kept separately.quality heat may that is detachable from the case.beautifully designed straighteners in the same electric blue as the packaging with a silicone heat shield at the end.safety features cut off after 30 mins and a noise alerts you to them being plugged in being switched on or being switched off.the switch is inside the straightener so that you don’t accidentally turn it off as you are straightening your hair.plates glide through hair creating straightness without effort and as they are at the optimum 185 degrees without that crimped look at the top where you first inserted the plates.improvements that would’ve made it a 5 I needed a slightly longer flex maybe another 1 2 metre.i miss the option to choose the temperature that I had on my old straighteners. I appreciate their advice about 185 degrees being the setting that works best but I have very fine hair which is also frizzy and like to have a choice so that I can accommodate what my hair is up to that day.
Curling and straightening hair requires the stylist to use a curling rod or a flat iron to get a desired look. These irons use heat to manipulate the hair into a variety of waves, curls and reversing natural curls and temporarily straightening the hair. Straightening or even curling hair can damage it due to direct heat from the iron and applying chemicals afterwards to keep its shape. There are irons that have a function to straighten or curl hair even when its damp (from showering or wetting the hair), but this requires more heat than the average iron (temperatures can range from 300–450 degrees). Heat protection sprays and hair-repairing shampoos and conditioners can protect hair from damage caused by the direct heat from the irons.

my second purchase of ghd straighteners with the previous ones lasting 5 years with no loss of performance during this time. I use them daily. Hopefully these will last as long. Purchased from amazon as they offer such good customer service as well as a good price. There are a lot of fake ghds out there on other websites who are selling them at cheaper prices.
