One of the biggest problems you will face when using a heated hair styling tool is overheating. We’ve all been there: you’re casually straightening your hair when a particularly funny scene comes up on the show you have playing in the background. After a solid minute or two of laughter, you realize (in utter horror!) that your poor hair has been sandwiched in between a couple of hot plates the entire time.
Utilizing an advanced Tourmaline Ceramic system, this mini straightener produces infrared heat and negative ions to eliminate frizz, static and flyaways while sealing in moisture for glamorous, mirror-like shine. Featuring smooth floating plates and a fast heat up time, the styling tool leaves hair feeling sleek, soft and glossy with a professional looking finish.
great set of 'original' ghd's... Had similar back in the 90's and I loved them then. I had them for years before they gave up then I tried various other cheaper makes of straightners as well as some of the limited edition ghd's ...none as good as my original ghd's. Noticed these at a good price and bought them in time for the christmas festivities I have no regrets love them
My second one I bought. It does a great job and does not dry your hair out. My hair always looks healthy
original ghd stylers registered them on the official website to make sure they were ghd would definitely recommend this product don't be deceived by the price they are definitely original

The Bio Ionic Onepass Pro Straightening Iron makes use of Silicone Speed Strips to speed up the straightening of your strands while providing increased shine. The NanoIonic mineral hydrates your hair, seals in the natural oils, and smoothens the hair cuticle to create frizz-free, silky smooth hair every time. The flat iron comes with adjustable heat settings that range from 240 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a very long swivel cord – 9 feet! It heats up very fast and cools down just as quickly so you can easily pack it away if you’re in a hurry. The plates are 1.5 inches wide which is perfect for long, thick tresses.

the ghd classic 1 inch styler is the bomb it heats up in seconds after being turned on feels balanced and streamlined in my hand has a swivel cord that never gets tangled and safety guards at the tip to prevent accidental burns. I can now style my long hair in half the time it formerly took.
Though it looks high tech with an LCD screen, this budget-friendly straightener has impressed Amazon reviewers everywhere. "I have very thick curly/wavy hair and in a matter of 45 minutes my hair was the straightest I’ve ever been able to get it by doing my hair on my own," wrote one reviewer from Florida, who said her straight hair managed to endure the state's humid climate.

During the First World War, women around the world started to shift to shorter hairstyles that were easier to manage. In the 1920s women started for the first time to bob, shingle and crop their hair, often covering it with small head-hugging cloche hats. In Korea, the bob was called tanbal.[28] Women began marcelling their hair, creating deep waves in it using heated scissor irons. Durable permanent waving became popular also in this period:[29] it was an expensive, uncomfortable and time-consuming process, in which the hair was put in curlers and inserted into a steam or dry heat machine. During the 1930s women began to wear their hair slightly longer, in pageboys, bobs or waves and curls.[13]
I was replacing this with my previous ghd which I got for full price and worked great for years.. Though I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews but couldn't resist because of the price.. I checked the product the minute I got it and went online and found out I got the original..
Once again, the key to this brush’s performance is a big comb which grabs large volumes of hair, with a curved base that funnels hair right to the comb. It also delivers heat via metal ceramic (MCH) technology; the combination guarantees very fast hair straightening, as it does with Groom+Style’s #1 straightening brush. Heat-up time for the AsaVea is about 60 seconds, slightly longer than it is with the Glamfields but not bad at all.
Love the styler.
In the middle of the 18th century the pouf style developed, with women creating volume in the hair at the front of the head, usually with a pad underneath to lift it higher, and ornamented the back with seashells, pearls or gemstones. In 1750, women began dressing their hair with perfumed pomade and powdering it white. Just before World War I, some women began wearing silk turbans over their hair.[14]
Curling and straightening hair requires the stylist to use a curling rod or a flat iron to get a desired look. These irons use heat to manipulate the hair into a variety of waves, curls and reversing natural curls and temporarily straightening the hair. Straightening or even curling hair can damage it due to direct heat from the iron and applying chemicals afterwards to keep its shape. There are irons that have a function to straighten or curl hair even when its damp (from showering or wetting the hair), but this requires more heat than the average iron (temperatures can range from 300–450 degrees). Heat protection sprays and hair-repairing shampoos and conditioners can protect hair from damage caused by the direct heat from the irons.
heats up super fast. Straightens better than the chi that I used before and also doesn't seem to snag my hair like the chi would sometimes. Very satisfied and hope it lasts for years to come.
I had some concern that this iron was counterfeit. I had purchased knockoff chi irons unbeknownst to me on this site before. Fortunately as I found ghd has a verification tool on their site. Take the time to register your iron there to make sure it's not a fake ... As far as the iron itself it is a sturdy quality iron that heats up lightning fast. It even has a beep to let you know it's ready to go. I especially love the 30 minute automatic shut off feature a must for forgetful people like me

these ghd hair straightening irons are great excellent price fast delivery and authentic. Really is there much more you could ask for

Last one lasted 10 years hope this one does so also. Great wife loves it.
Hair breakage is an all too common problem, and even the most seasoned of hair stylists can slip up from time to time. That’s why LumaBella’s Keratin Duel Touch Hair Straightener features a unique smart heat sensor. This nifty little gadget can actually tell when there is too much heat for your hair, and will automatically adjust to a safer styling temperature!

If being limited to only a handful of temperature settings isn’t really your cup of tea, look no further than the BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Straightening Iron! This lightweight flat iron features a whopping 50 heat settings for hair types of all shapes, styles, textures, and colors making it one of the most versatile hair straighteners on our list.

I absolutely love this flat iron I purchased it because my friend who is a hair stylist recommended it. It is great I don't have to run it over my hair a lot it completely out straightens the chi. And I purchased it for less than half the retail value which is around 220.00.
I love it
Once you have a pair of ghds you will never go back to anything else.
