It met my expectations
although they are selling a red version on their own website today for slightly less. So if you thought this was too cheap to be an authentic product don't worry. It isn't.
Your second option is a hot air brush. It’s a round-shaped electric tool that can be used for both straightening and curling. But you probably will be able to create gentle waves rather than tight curls with this appliance. Hot air brushes can comb, blow-dry, and style your hair at the same time. It’s a good choice if you want to add extra volume or just keep it.
I haven't checked to see if its registered and original but it is phenomenal love it
Since the 1970s, women have worn their hair in a wide variety of fairly natural styles. In the 1980s, women pulled back their hair with scrunchies, stretchy ponytail holders made from cloth over fabric bands. Women also often wear glittery ornaments today, as well as claw-style barrettes used to secure ponytails and other upswept or partially upswept hairstyles.[14] Today, women and men can choose from a broad range of hairstyles, but they are still expected to wear their hair in ways that conform to gender norms: in much of the world, men with long hair and women whose hair doesn't appear carefully groomed may face various forms of discrimination, including harassment, social shaming or workplace discrimination.[35] This is somewhat less true of African-American men, who wear their hair in a variety of styles that overlap with those of African-American women, including box braids and cornrows fastened with rubber bands and dreadlocks.[36]
This styler really works I can curl or straighten with it and the style holds all day without hairspray.
“Infrared is so beneficial being that the wavelengths are longer and can penetrate deeper into the cuticle heating the hair from the inside out, keeping your hair's own natural moisture, leaving the hair smooth (and) shiny and keeping it extremely healthy, versus other conventional styling tools that actually pull moisture out of the hair, leaving the hair dry, brittle, dull and damaged,” said hair expert and stylist Gina Rivera.
the ghd works wonders on my hair. I have naturally wavy hair that can be difficult to straighten but this product takes care of business. I am definitely hooked definitely worth the money.
Dylan also loves this Karmin iron. "The plates are coated in tourmaline which helps for an easy glide," he says. Fighting frizz with infrared ions, Dylan suggests that it "makes this iron better for super coarse hair." Bonus points: it also has different voltage settings for international use. The jetsetter in you will be thankful as you globetrot glamorously.
Great product and fast shipping.

these ghd hair straightening irons are great excellent price fast delivery and authentic. Really is there much more you could ask for

Ghd is the best hair styler I've ever got it's very fast in heating up .. And you'll be ready in no timeit would be great if it included a glove though
my styler seems to be legitimate and has the shiny sticker and seems to be correct in all other ways. It does indeed work so that really is all that matters. I was given this free for an honest review. I have to say overall I like this styler. It is the perfect size for my hair as it is short and medium in thickness. The styler it self is a little heavy to hold up for long periods so just be warned about that and it rolls on my counter top. It heats up quick and works great though and I love that I can curl or straighten and it has an auto shut off in case I forget to turn it off that is the best feature to any styler in my opinion so I do not burn my house down . Also this one in particular looks very nice not that it matters for functionality but it is a pretty iron. I was able to straighten my hair in far less time than my previous straightener and it seems also I am not using nearly as much heat. So I love this styler and my only complaint is that it is a bit clunky to hold.
I just received my ghd classic sytler yesterday and registered it on ghd's website. It wasn't a fake and did my hair for the first time this morning with it and couldn't be happier with the results my hair feels so healthy I had tried a chi first returned it. Bought a croc which was better but still wouldn't tame my thick coarse hair without being on the 450 degree setting which made me nervous. I bought the ghd on the recommendation of a couple of friends who I trust. Read reviews on amazon and made sure to purchase the iron direct from amazon. Glad I did this flat iron is awesome my hope is that it lasts longer than a year
Excellent product and very fast shipping. Would not buy any other brand of flat iron.
This is a great styler according to my girlfriend. I purchased this styles on amazon because it was cheaper than through other outlets such as sephora. After reading some comments I was concerned that this may be a knock off brand of the ghd classic styles but was relieved that I could register the product on the ghd website as well as check via the checklist of genuine product traits that someone else nicely posted. I bought this through amazon and deva concepts dropship and recommend you do the same.
You can't beat a real pair of ghds well that's the wifes happy for a bit at least she's over the moon thinks they are the best ever and they make her hair feel nice. What more do you want.
heats up within seconds great and easy use doesn't dry out hair. Leaves the hair shiny and perfect to style the way you want it
I recently just had a funeral for my ghd classic 1 inch hair straightener after one of the blades stopped heating. I have had this hair straightner for almost 4 years longer than any of my relationships. It is absolutely amazing and I am defintiely buying another. I have went through all kinds of straighteners such as chi and paul mitchell. A chi will only last me a year. After a couple chi's this was confirmed case. I used my ghd every day and I dropped it religiously and it has lasted much longer than expected. My mother and younger sister have the same ghd that I used and is currently four years old too and is still working. It is worth the price by far and the quality and durablility is great. It also comes with a two year warranty which is twice as long as most. It heats up in a snap and it shuts off automatically if I accidently leave it on. I have thick curly horse like hair and this thing makes it pretty. I will continue to cry on the inside until my new ghd comes in. Love you ghd
“This product really deserves its five-star review. Let be really clear here, I HAVE 4C HAIR … I spend so much time detangling my hair that it is ridiculous! I mean hours, and I have tried every trick in the book. By the time I finish one section, the other has gotten tangled again. My hair is so thick that it would take me 45 minutes to blow it dry, so I just never did it. [With this brush,] I was able to blow dry my hair on the cool setting in 20 minutes. I did use heat protectant along with a leave in in as well as some black castor oil heavily on the ends. I am able to comb through my hair now. I am so relieved. I think I am going to start seeing some real growth now that I will not be putting off my wash days because I simply don’t have the time for all that detangling. Not to mention that I was always losing a lot of hair with the detangling process. … I did notice that the high setting was really hot, I just used the cool setting and it worked wonders. The bristles are very malleable and the bristle tips are rounded. I have read that some folks have had a problem getting their roots to dry. I had no problem at all. This product is well worth the price. I would have paid three times as much just to be able to part my hair without all of the tangles.”
I purchased this as a gift. The price was great. As an owner of this product I'm very happy with it.

My ghds finally broke after over 10 years so bought a new set still as good as they always have been

Hair care can be hard to shop for. You want to be picking products that are effective enough to achieve your desired results, without having to pay an exorbitant amount to get the job done. When it comes to hot tools, you also want to make sure you'll be using a product that won't cause undue damage to your hair — totally fried tresses are the opposite of chic. And while there's a whole world out there of pricey pro-level straighteners from high-end hair brands, it turns out it's actually possible to score a satisfactory straightening tool for much less.
Heats up quickly and works great at straightening my hair.

According to hair pro Christian Wood, if you want to make sure your hair stays in the place, use the GHD gold mini styler. “I prefer a small straightener that I can get really close to the roots to remove stubborn kinks and cow licks,” says Wood. The small straightener trick is probably how he nails the beauty looks of Tessa Thompson, Emily Ratajkowski, Rosie Huntington, and Olivia Munn.
My first ghd styler. I was super skeptical about the purchase considering the 50 difference on their website. I was able to register it so I'm thrilled to say it's the real deal though I haven't tried it in my hair yet I know what to expect...

the best straightener .. She wouldn't go without it.....its a must have in this house and friends have agreed and bought

At the price of a coffee and sandwich, you will be over the moon with the Revlon 5265CU Shape and Smooth Air Styler. It boasts 108 Amazon customer reviews with combination of 74 at 4 or 5 stars; I believe this is an excellent low cost air styler.  I would buy one of these just as a spare or to carry round as it is also lightweight so makes for a good travel solution.
In a word wow. I didn't think it would but this ghd straightener blew away. I turn it on and in about 5 minuets am ready to start making passes. There is only one heat setting hot and it's perfect. The weight is amazingly light it's thin easy to hold and doesn't fatigue my wrist.i've been using a different pro straightener and was certain nothing could compare. The one I had been using had options lots and lots of options. The ghd offers only one option and that is amazing.the auto shut off is also a very very appreciated feature yes this is not cheap. But the investment is well worth the cost.
love the new silicone cover fir the hot iron. Makes it easy to use in the gym pre work and shove straight in bag without worry.new curved barrel makes for easy curls. Best irons i’ve tried.

I am officially in love with this flat iron and I just got it today I have been a chi person my whole life and as many know those die usually within a year. However I just kept purchasing them because as far as I knew they were the best. Now I'm kicking myself for sticking with the chi for so long because this flat iron is a million times better. It straightens my hair so so so well and fast I don't have to go over it a million times. And it cuts down on a lot of frizz. Another thing I love about it is that it heats up so fast it takes about 15 seconds if that to heat up and it's completely ready to go. Usually I'd go outside and within 30 minutes my hair would become wavy due to humidity however that hasn't happened yet. I just came in from being outside for a few hours after straightening my hair with this flat iron. I could say so many things about how great it is. The packaging is adorable the flat iron is just so sleek and professional looking. I love it

Styling thicker, longer hair is quicker and easier thanks to the larger plates that glide through strands without snagging for fast, effortless styling and flawlessly polished strands. It heats up in as little as 30 seconds to tame frizz and transform coarse textures into sleek, smooth styles that last. The styler has contoured, round edges to unleash undulating waves, and with its styling versatility, you can change your look every day.
amazing

This is an amazing styler I've used regular curling irons for the last couple of decades with my preference being a fatter iron. This is the first time that I've used a flat iron. I had a lot of fun playing with it and was surprised by how well and how quickly it worked. It heated almost instantly sounding a chime when it was ready to use. I sectioned off my hair and used it according to the directions on their website. It felt so slick and smooth as I pulled it down my hair that I wondered if it even made contact. However my hair was warm and perfectly straight so it did the trick it only took a few minutes for my entire head of hair to be stick straight. That's not how I wear it I was just playing. I found directions online for curling with the ghd styler and went to work. It was a little tricky at first because I was using it a way that I never used a curling iron. It didn't take long for me to get the hang of it and soon I had loose waves and curls that looked and felt wonderful. I'm thrilled with it the ghd classic styler that I received is genuine. Based on the comments here I immediately went to the ghd website and registered it and verified that it was the real deal. The only problem I had was reading the tiny date code printed inside the unit. I finally had to take a picture of it with my phone and enlarge it a little so I could make out the numbers.
Think of this as an updated version of your regular hairbrush. Its double negative ion technology gives your hair that glass-like shine without any static whatsoever. Its ceramic bristles with nylon cool-tips help keep damage to a minimum by releasing far-infrared heat — in a mere moment, it penetrates the outer layer of the hair cuticle and heats it from the inside out.
Easy-to-use and safer for strands, the ghd Classic 1" Inch Styler with ceramic heat technology operates at the optimum 365°F styling temperature for smooth, no-frizz styling. It delivers professional, long-lasting results, sealing the cuticle for a glossy finish that looks salon-done and stays flawless all day. Designed for utmost styling flexibility, the versatile one-inch round barrel makes it easy to straighten, curl, or wave all hair types and lengths. It heats up in 30 seconds and works fast so you can effortlessly create everyday styles in a snap, while the smooth-contoured floating plates glide through strands without snagging or pulling.
bought these as a replacement for my very old ghd's. As usual I have not been disappointed. I've tried other cheaper straighteners and none can bet these. My older ones still work but I wanted the automatic shut off which is great. Super fast shipment and well packaged. Over all really pleased.
love it highly recommended and will buy again if need be. I've tried other flat irons and this one seems to work best for my wavy frizzy hair.

After all, there are so many different hair types, short, medium and long lengths not to mention a variety of textures. Rather than ploughing through the thousands of stylers on the market I have written a short guide as to those I think will work for you.  The information is extracted reviews by people just like you, with different hair types and expectations….so read on for what my recommendations are:<
There are less expensive stylers but if you use one everyday you want one that works very well.this one works great. It's well built to begin with. The grip is easy to hold and it springs open when you aren't clamping it. There's a very long 9 foot cord and unlike any others I've seen it connects to the styler with a swivel. That makes it easy to maneuver especially for styling someone else's hair if you need to walk around them and go at it from all sides. The other thing that makes this extremely useful is how quickly it heats up and is ready to go. Turn it on and it beeps and then in under half a minute it beeps again twice signaling it is ready.you can straighten hair very quickly and it does an impressive job. Curling is easy too whether you go for tight curls or wavy hair.if you leave it sitting and forget to turn it off it shuts off automatically after half an hour. I almost think that it would be better to shut off after 15 minutes inactive. Given how quickly it heats up that wouldn't be a bother if you happened to step away too long inadvertently. Easy to use built to last and built safe this heats up quickly and does a good job.

From the time of the Roman Empire[citation needed] until the Middle Ages, most women grew their hair as long as it would naturally grow. It was normally little styled by cutting, as women's hair was tied up on the head and covered on most occasions when outside the home with a snood, kerchief or veil; for an adult woman to wear uncovered and loose hair in the street was often restricted to prostitutes. Braiding and tying the hair was common. In the 16th century, women began to wear their hair in extremely ornate styles, often decorated with pearls, precious stones, ribbons and veils. Women used a technique called "lacing" or "taping," in which cords or ribbons were used to bind the hair around their heads.[14] During this period, most of the hair was braided and hidden under wimples, veils or couvrechefs. In the later half of the 15th century and on into the 16th century a very high hairline on the forehead was considered attractive, and wealthy women frequently plucked out hair at their temples and the napes of their necks, or used depilatory cream to remove it, if it would otherwise be visible at the edges of their hair coverings.[15] Working-class women in this period wore their hair in simple styles.[14]

This safety feature ensures that you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off your hair straightener, especially when you were in a hurry to get going. Flat irons with this feature automatically turns off after 60 to 80 minutes of run time. The  Infiniti Pro by Conair Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron, for example, shuts down after 60 minutes so you never have to worry that you’re coming back to a burned down house just because you forgot that your flat iron was still on.
Great quality. I've had this for years now. I'm a black female with 3b hair. This styler is amazing. Sedu and ghd have never let me down.
Makes my hair much shinier than my lower end flat iron about 30 range . I have wavy hair which straightens easily but will often gain wave as the day goes on. This makes my hair stay straight through the night and into the next day. Heats up fast and has the great option to use for curls waves. Mine was verified by ghd as authentic when I registered it.
Less common but still worth mentioning are “hybrid” styles of hair brush straighteners. Some are similar to a flat iron but with bristles on each of the plates, while others have a rotating barrel on one side and a plate with bristles on the other. You’ll also see lots of inexpensive, non-heated straightener brushes, but we won’t be focusing on those in our reviews.
I don't know why I waited so long to invest in this product. I held off because of the price but now that I own it it is worth every penny I have fine hair that is very curly wavy. This styler makes my hair straight smooth sleek and shinny and it lasts until the next shampoo. It heats up super quick and is very east to use. I have read other reviews about whether it is an original product because of where it was made. My styler says made in china . Some reviewers claim is not an authentic styler if it's not made in korea . My styler had the correct id label on it and I was able to register it on the ghd website. For now I highly recommend this product. As long as it continues to work for at least a year or more I will be very happy with my purchase.
I borrowed this straightener from my friend when we were in vegas and I fell in love with it. I love the fact that it heats up almost instantly and is very lightweight. It made my hair silky and smooth. I had to get the straightener for myself and purchased it at a beauty supply store. This straightenr is well worth the investment. I replaced my old herstyler with my new ghd and I'm never going back
Available with either ceramic plates (good for all hair types) or titanium ones (choice for curly, thick, and coarse textures), this innovative styler features touch sensor technology that lowers the heat when it's not being used, then automatically brings it back up to temp as soon as it's touched. Translation: No more waiting for your iron to heat up in between passes. Use it for smooth and sleek styles, or take advantage of the round brush-esque attachments to create more of a bouncy blowout effect.
I love this one had one before it broke used another for about a year glad to be back. Doesn't overheat.
best flat iron ever this is my 2nd ghd for my daughter away to college. Don't trust the cheapies and burn your hair like I did
This is so much better than the drugstore purchased flat iron that I've been using. The ghd classic 1 inch styler heats up fast and maintains the perfect temperature while styling my hair. The extra long cord 9 feet is something that I'm going to have to get used to but I do see how it would be perfect for professional stylists to use in salons. The ceramic plates come together perfectly and there's even a little extra give when I squeeze them over my hair. I appreciate that this has a reset button on the plug to keep the user from getting shocked while using. I even loved how this arrived in a beautiful box. My hair looks great and I am looking forward to using this for years to come.
From the 16th to the 19th century, European women's hair became more visible while their hair coverings grew smaller, with both becoming more elaborate, and with hairstyles beginning to include ornamentation such as flowers, ostrich plumes, ropes of pearls, jewels, ribbons and small crafted objects such as replicas of ships and windmills.[14][21] Bound hair was felt to be symbolic of propriety: loosening one's hair was considered immodest and sexual, and sometimes was felt to have supernatural connotations.[22] Red hair was popular, particularly in England during the reign of the red-haired Elizabeth I, and women and aristocratic men used borax, saltpeter, saffron and sulfur powder to dye their hair red, making themselves nauseated and giving themselves headaches and nosebleeds.[12][23] During this period in Spain and Latin cultures, women wore lace mantillas, often worn over a high comb,[14][24] and in Buenos Aires, there developed a fashion for extremely large tortoise-shell hair combs called peinetón, which could measure up to three feet in height and width, and which are said by historians to have reflected the growing influence of France, rather than Spain, upon Argentinians.[25]

These glacial blue stylers are gorgeous. Slimline but not compact they come in the standard heatproof carry wrap favoured by and included with all ghd products. These make an excellent gift. They come enclosed in a gorgeous sturdy high quality box. The stylers themselves heat up nice and quickly usable in no time at all. For cooling down this takes a while and I'd definitely recommend to use the mat provided for safety. Well manufactured and a quality product as expected from this brand.
after reading all the stuff about fake ghd flat irons I panicked and registered mine online. It went through fine. Mine says manufactured in china but I guess it is the real deal I have loved how my hair looks

Perfect for all hair types—including curls, fine, thick, long, short, extensons, wigs, or weaves—Tangle Teezer's Compact Styler helps reduce hair loss and cuticle damage. Offering pain-free detangling for wet and dry hair, you can use this in the shower to brush through conditioning treatments. The patented teeth formation bends and flexes through the hair, while the convenient clip-on/off cover protects teeth when in your luggage, gym bag, or handbag. Plus, the ergonomically designed shape fits snugly in your palm for creative styling and easy handling.

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing these only because previous reviews had said that their ghds appeared to have already been used on arrival. This was not the case at all when mine arrived. They came sealed in their original box plastic on the plug wire around the cable etc. They're perfect brand new fully working and the delivery was ridiculously quick too I would 100 recommend. Very happy with both the product and the service that I received.

great quality. I've had this for years now. I'm a black female with 3b hair. This styler is amazing. Sedu and ghd have never let me down.
it heats instantly and easy to handle. I love it
We don’t know too many people that are using their hair straighteners vertically, but there must be a few since ISA has made a point of clarifying that this model is intended only to be used horizontally, i.e., perpendicular to your hair. According to the manufacturer, using the hair straightener horizontally reduces hair pulling for a more comfortable experience. This may be particularly important to you if your hair tends to knot easily or you have unruly curls and texture.
Curling straight hair is relatively easy; perms and curling irons have been around for several years. Those with wavy hair that doesn’t relax even after blow drying, endure more tortuous methods to change the look of their locks. Hair relaxer (straightener) products and hair dryers released over the years have often been hit or miss with many users.

I ordered the one directly sold by amazon and it was genuine. It had the hologram sticker on the inside and I was able to register it on the ghd website.as far as the product ghds are the best straighteners out there and are well worth the cost.

I received the classic styler by ghd today and it is 100 authentic. I registered it on the ghd website and the registration was confirmed. This styler retails for 185 and amazon had it for 109.it works great make sure to order from amazon and not a third party.

In short YES! You absolutely can use too much heat on your hair. Burning hair is not a good smell, it’s not a good look either! You may end up having to get a pretty severe haircut if you’re not careful about the amount of heat you put directly on your locks. Read through this to get an idea of what’s safe and what will leave you wishing for a good trim (or possibly a wig).
so many people gave negative reviews for this product. However I bought directly from amazon ghdprofessional and I can register mine successfully. Also after comparing with my old genuine styler I know the new one is not fake. Don't be bothered about on earth how many holes on the cord because both of my stylers have 2 holes. So just go from amazon ghdprofessional directly and you can save a lot.
Great straighteners. I only use ghds
