Great product. Quick shipping.
After living in australia and going to a salon there that used a ghd flat iron on my hair I've always wanted one. But because of the price I often settled for the less expensive brands. I had a sedu but it recently died and I found that the ghd sold on amazon had such a great price I just had to get it. It was definitely worth it I love how I only need to flat iron a section once and it's perfect. Because I have curly hair it usually takes me 40 mins to flat iron my hair but now with the ghd styler it only takes about 25 mins. From now on I'm only using ghd stylers.
Each flat iron has its own 15-digit code on hologram which can be verified at GHD website. - One 1" ghd flat iron with cap. Smoother gold plates glide effortlessly through the hair to make straightening on all hair types and lengths even quicker and easier, while their contoured edges help to create perfect curls and waves, all with a high shine, salon-style finish.
it has been 3 years and this thing works like it did the first time I used it which is wonderful love how small it is and easy to travel with. Great product.
Creative director of GLAMSQUAD Giovanni Vaccaro prefers this flat iron by Sedu. "The ceramic plates are really key to maintain the integrity and healthiness of the hair," he says. To get expertly straight hair, Vaccaro recommends using a boar-bristle brush to help mediate frizz, and that "the follow through is key" when moving the iron and comb completely from roots to tips.
so far so good. I like that it sings a little to let you know it’s on and then has auto shutoff
Absolutely love this styler. I have extremely thick hair and have so many issues with my previous chi pulling my hair out. The ghd does not pull at all. Not only does it heat up super quick but it gives me a perfect do in no time a must buy
Perfect durable gets super hot in seconds I throw it in my bag and beat it up daily and it works great. No pulling great quality
Historically, working-class people's haircuts have tended to be practical and simple. Working-class men have often shaved their heads or worn their hair close-cropped, and working-class women have typically pulled their hair up and off their faces in simple styles. However, today, working-class people often have more elaborate and fashion-conscious hairstyles than other social classes. Many working-class Mexican men in American cities wear their hair in styles like the Mongolian (shaved except for a tuft of hair at the nape of the neck) or the rat tail (crewcut on top, tuft at the nape), and African-Americans often wear their hair in complex patterns of box braids and cornrows, fastened with barrettes and beads, and sometimes including shaved sections or bright colour. Sociologists say these styles are an attempt to express individuality and presence in the face of social denigration and invisibility.
Wife loves this thing. The auto off feature really makes me a happy camper too.
Can't believe how quick it heats up plug it in and 10 seconds it is beeping. Works great on my hair and leaves a beautiful shine. I have purchased other flat irons for a lot more money and am really impressed with this one. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews that this maybe a fake. That wasn't the case. As soon as I received it I went on line and was able to register it with ghd with no problems. I would recommend this one.
Negative ions have been a longtime fan favorite in the hair care industry, and it is no surprise that this same technology would appear in our top picks for the best hair straightener. Negative ions have been found to reduce static and frizz while locking in moisture, and the same goes for your hair when you use the CHI Air Expert Classic Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron!
Introducing ghd curve®, the new range of curling irons & wands from ghd. Featuring tri-zone™ technology for gorgeous, shiny, bouncy curls that last as long as you do. The protective cool tip provides you with a safe place to hold the hair in place while you curl, and the built-in safety stand allows you to place the iron down securely during styling.
Less common but still worth mentioning are “hybrid” styles of hair brush straighteners. Some are similar to a flat iron but with bristles on each of the plates, while others have a rotating barrel on one side and a plate with bristles on the other. You’ll also see lots of inexpensive, non-heated straightener brushes, but we won’t be focusing on those in our reviews.
It met my expectations
To give yourself that big hair look, check out our other hair accessories and you’ll find plenty to help you get everything from subtle waves to tumbling ringlets and tight curls. Crimpers can give you a natural looking wave and variable temperature controls and ceramic plates make sure you don’t fry your locks. For more defined curls, you’ll want to grab a curling wand to add bounce and many new curlers come with keratin or Argan oil infused barrels that help to give your hair a glossy look.
The current temperature is shown on the LCD screen, and the screen changes the color depending on how high the temperature is. According to the instructions, the blue one is for fine or fragile hair (0-370°F), the green one is for medium or wavy hair (375-395°F), and the red one is for coarse, resistant hair (400-425°F). The mode button also helps you to choose the right heat level for your hair type.
my ghd iv styler are perfect for my hair. I was thrilled with how well they worked
I have tried other hair straightener and I have always come back to ghd. My last pair was bought in 2006 and it is still going strong only bought these pair because of special discount. Not disappointed but because I have thick and long asian hair I find the wide plate works better for me.
I used to use a flatiron which doesn't curl the hair very well..leaves a crease in the hair. The ghd styler is awesome for both curling and straightening awesome product
In summary, you will want to buy a hair brush straightener that has a lower temp range, from about 250-300° (any temps higher than that and you are likely to damage your hair – start at the lowest temp possible and work up if needed). You will also want to consider a ceramic model they will heat evenly and a bit more slowly and will not create hot spots which can damage fine hair.
Physical factors include natural hair type and growth patterns, face and head shape from various angles, and overall body proportions; medical considerations may also apply. Self-image may be directed toward conforming to mainstream values (military-style crew cuts or current "fad" hairstyles such as the Dido flip), identifying with distinctively groomed subgroups (e.g., punk hair), or obeying religious dictates (e.g., Orthodox Jewish have payot, Rastafari have Dreadlocks, North India jatas, or the Sikh practice of Kesh), though this is highly contextual and a "mainstream" look in one setting may be limited to a "subgroup" in another.
In the early 19th century the male beard, and also moustaches and sideburns, made a strong reappearance, associated with the Romantic movement, and all remained very common until the 1890s, after which younger men ceased to wear them, with World War I, when the majority of men in many countries saw military service, finally despatching the full beard except for older men retaining the styles of their youth, and those affecting a Bohemian look. The short military-style moustache remained popular.
had no problems registering. This is my second ghd styler. My first one is almost 10 years old and still works great. Had to buy a second when my daughter took my first one to college with her. These used to be super pricey back in the day but are very affordable now. Hope they are as durable and well made. Looks almost identical to my old one.
when you buy ghd you invest in quality are you worth it.
Best hair straightener I have ever used
If your hair is fine, fragile or damaged you have to be careful with the temperature. Your locks require the lower heat to reduce the damage. The maximum heat level that you can apply on thin or damaged hair is 350°F. But maybe you should start with lower temperature, something like 170°F – and see if this would work. Also, thin damaged hair requires a flat iron with narrow plates so that you will be able to straighten it in one pass.
great quality. I've had this for years now. I'm a black female with 3b hair. This styler is amazing. Sedu and ghd have never let me down.
Great product fast delivery thanks
I have been coveting one of these stylers since I borrowed a friend's in the uk in 2007... And I finally got one and it's an authentic one I suspect amazon's prices are low to compete with all of the vendors selling fakes on here which is a shame for them but worked out just fine for me. Make sure you select the one that's shipped from and sold by amazon the main page for this product seems to rotate between several vendors not all of them trustworthy and right now I have to check the little more buying choices sidebar to find the one sold by amazon itself. They were the main vendor for this page when I ordered but they're not now so it looks like it changes out.i was able to register mine with ghd's website and everything looks feels like the quality you'd expect from something that usually retails for almost twice what you'll pay for one here so I'm pretty positive it's legit.i've been using a chi for the last 8 years. The same chi. It's held up well clearly and still works but it just doesn't heat like it used to and its time has been up for a while now. It's served me well I'd read some reviews in several places saying that their quality had dropped off and I still remembered how wonderful the ghd I'd tried had been and that was when my chi was still in its prime so in looking to replace my straightener I really wanted to see if I could find an authentic ghd at a reasonable price. And I did I've only had my ghd for a few days now so I can't attest to its longevity I somehow doubt anything will ever compete with its predecessor on that front anyway but it works like an absolute dream. The first time I turned it on I was sure something wasn't working quite right because it gave me the all heated up beep so rapidly under 15 seconds. But no. Ready to go. It slid through my hair like butter leaving nothing but smoothness in its wake. My ends don't feel all frazzled like they do when I use cheaper straighteners and I can get pretty substantial waves out in a single pass with minimal styling product. And it goes into sleep mode after 30 minutes which is wonderful did I leave the hair straightener on is my personal equivalent of the old did I leave the gas on worry.a fantastic product for an excellent price and I couldn't be happier. Just choose your vendor wisely and make sure to check authenticity on their website
I love this machine and ordering from this company was easy it arrived promptly very happy camper
