I ordered the ghds as my older ghd's were starting to get wore I was little bit weary over ordering ghd's as they are a lot of fake ones about. I ordered these on the thursday dinner time and I paid the express delivery as I was wanting to use them the friday night I was going out well worth paying the express delivery as they were delivered the next day for 8am. I registered the ghds straight away on the ghd site and were the real mccoy .i have quite thick long hair I had no problems straightenting my hair but did have to re do it a little bit later on if was to purchase ghd's again I would buy the bigger plate ones but that isonly because of my thick hair would definatley recommend them
This is the best one . Trust me my tried them all .
amazing styler curls my stubborn hair perfectly
I purchased this product after trying my friend's out. It was so much better than the cheap o conair I had been using that I immediately ordered one for myself.the product came in the beautiful ghd box that is in the picture. The box does say it was manufactured in p.r.c. But I was able to register my straightener on the ghd website using the codes on the straightener's hologram and label. Excited that I got a great straightener for a great price.
Arrived on time product just as described this is my second pair of ghd's and I wouldn't be without them. A girls best friend. Would definitely recommend.
From the 16th to the 19th century, European women's hair became more visible while their hair coverings grew smaller, with both becoming more elaborate, and with hairstyles beginning to include ornamentation such as flowers, ostrich plumes, ropes of pearls, jewels, ribbons and small crafted objects such as replicas of ships and windmills. Bound hair was felt to be symbolic of propriety: loosening one's hair was considered immodest and sexual, and sometimes was felt to have supernatural connotations. Red hair was popular, particularly in England during the reign of the red-haired Elizabeth I, and women and aristocratic men used borax, saltpeter, saffron and sulfur powder to dye their hair red, making themselves nauseated and giving themselves headaches and nosebleeds. During this period in Spain and Latin cultures, women wore lace mantillas, often worn over a high comb, and in Buenos Aires, there developed a fashion for extremely large tortoise-shell hair combs called peinetón, which could measure up to three feet in height and width, and which are said by historians to have reflected the growing influence of France, rather than Spain, upon Argentinians.
Finaly found a hair tool that works for my curly hair. This hot tool makes my hair salon perfect.
In the early 1870s, in a shift that historians attribute to the influence of the West, Japanese men began cutting their hair into styles known as jangiri or zangiri (which roughly means "random cropping"). During this period, Asian women were still wearing traditional hairstyles held up with combs, pins and sticks crafted from tortoise, metal, wood and other materials, but in the middle 1880s, upper-class Japanese women began pushing back their hair in the Western style (known as sokuhatsu), or adopting Westernized versions of traditional Japanese hairstyles (these were called yakaimaki, or literally, soirée chignon).
works great love it
Exactly what I was looking for for a gift.my daughter in law loves it.
Derek Yuen, the man responsible for Cole Sprouse's grown-up new look, recommends the GHD Platinum Professional Performance iron. The flat iron is consistently and evenly heated at 365 degrees, which is safer and less damaging on the strands. “The beveled edges also allow for infinite styling possibilities, not just just for straightening hair,” says Yeun.
Historically, working-class people's haircuts have tended to be practical and simple. Working-class men have often shaved their heads or worn their hair close-cropped, and working-class women have typically pulled their hair up and off their faces in simple styles. However, today, working-class people often have more elaborate and fashion-conscious hairstyles than other social classes. Many working-class Mexican men in American cities wear their hair in styles like the Mongolian (shaved except for a tuft of hair at the nape of the neck) or the rat tail (crewcut on top, tuft at the nape), and African-Americans often wear their hair in complex patterns of box braids and cornrows, fastened with barrettes and beads, and sometimes including shaved sections or bright colour. Sociologists say these styles are an attempt to express individuality and presence in the face of social denigration and invisibility.
I have gone through so many hair straighteners that only last a few months I have owned this brand for almost three years. The only reason I had to replace it was because my puppy chewed through the cord. This straighter will last forever and works so great to either straighten or curl your hair. Has an automatic shut off so you can't leave it on and heats up in about 30 seconds. I will never buy another brand
For my list of the best flat irons, I’ve chosen the models with the surface made of ceramic, tourmaline or both these materials. They are considered to be the healthiest solution for styling. What’s more, ceramic hair straighteners heat up quickly and evenly, meaning that they can straighten your locks on lower temperatures. This definitely reduces the damage.
so the nice thing about this one is that it does heat up very fast and it has a fast recovery rate. I have thick curly hair not wavy. So for me it works. However the curls do start to show alittle resistance by the end of the day. This model as one temp max of I think 380 degrees isn't hot enough for my hair. I think I need like 400 degrees. However the brand itself has been awesome as the plates on it doesn't caulk up with products and doesn't snag my hair. It is definitely better than anything you can buy at a store. I am okay to use it but if it breaks I will find one with a temperature settings.
I bought this knowing that it had great reviews and hoping that I wouldn't receive a fake like some others had reported in their reviews. I was fortunate enough to receive the real ghd classic styler successfully registered it on the ghd website and have loved it every single time I used it.i am half puerto rican with very naturally curly hair and this works wonders. It offers a all day straightening power and works wonderfully when I use it to curl the ends of my hair also.if you can take the risk of possibly getting a fake I highly recommend this product. Well worth every penny.
Very pleased with these ghds. Came when they were meant to and was able to track. I like good service like this.
Ordered as replacement for older ghds which had developed an intermittent power problem due no doubt to winding cable around the tongs to keep them closed . Great value and work perfectly. Recommend alternative means of keeping jaws closed in future try the travel pouch
Available with either ceramic plates (good for all hair types) or titanium ones (choice for curly, thick, and coarse textures), this innovative styler features touch sensor technology that lowers the heat when it's not being used, then automatically brings it back up to temp as soon as it's touched. Translation: No more waiting for your iron to heat up in between passes. Use it for smooth and sleek styles, or take advantage of the round brush-esque attachments to create more of a bouncy blowout effect.
Read all the reviews before ordering. My daughter has long curly hair and of coarse wants straight hair so nowshe can have both with minimal fuss and without destroying her beautiful locks. Using it in australia so dual voltage was important.
I absolutely love this flat iron I purchased it because my friend who is a hair stylist recommended it. It is great I don't have to run it over my hair a lot it completely out straightens the chi. And I purchased it for less than half the retail value which is around 220.00.
The nano ceramic plates in this straightener deliver far-infrared heat, a gentler alternative in and of itself. As if that weren't enough, there's also a reservoir where you can pour in some of the (included) argan treatment and thermal protectant, creating a conditioning steam that will strengthen and safeguard strands while you straighten. Admittedly an extra step, sure, but one that's well worth it.
this product got to me in time I liked it a lot and so far is my favorite straightener
it might be expensive but when you have a lot of holiday functions to attend getting it right first time is a must and for my other half that means going with a quality brand to do a fab job. She loves her good hair day products and with this little gift set on hand she's not only going to feel pretty damn special but will enjoy using it. Ok so it might be a christmas present but hey who says that the lady in your life has to wait it can be an early gift and perhaps day one of her own personal advent calendar.right yes its pricey however other products we've had from them have lasted years of constant use and as mr royce used to say quality is remembered long after price. Add to this a swish presentation box that looks nice and expensive alongside some straightners that will help get those tricky little bits on the side that just love to fluff up and all round I know that my other half is going to be more than happy. Ghd you're stars.
Great product and fast shipping.
In the middle of the 18th century the pouf style developed, with women creating volume in the hair at the front of the head, usually with a pad underneath to lift it higher, and ornamented the back with seashells, pearls or gemstones. In 1750, women began dressing their hair with perfumed pomade and powdering it white. Just before World War I, some women began wearing silk turbans over their hair.
so many people gave negative reviews for this product. However I bought directly from amazon ghdprofessional and I can register mine successfully. Also after comparing with my old genuine styler I know the new one is not fake. Don't be bothered about on earth how many holes on the cord because both of my stylers have 2 holes. So just go from amazon ghdprofessional directly and you can save a lot.
