Staying true to its name, a good hair day is guaranteed with the use of ghd products. From the iconic ghd straighteners and ghd stylers, which continue to be a cult must-have for women in search of beautiful hair, to the ghd hairdryers which promise salon style in half the time, ghd products combine style with styling, making sure your dresser looks as chic as your hair.
Achieve seductive soft movement: Mist hair with ghd heat protect spray. Section the hair and lightly mist with a curl hold spray to add shine and hold when styling. Place a fine section of hair between the plates of your ghd Gold Styler vertically 1 inch away from the root. Gently close the styler with minimum tension. Turn the styler clockwise by 90 degrees. For a soft curl, pull the styler quickly through the hair away from the head in one continuous smooth movement. An s-shaped vertical curl is created. To complete the style, repeat through all sections. Finally, separate and brush out the curls with a wide-tooth comb.
I'm absolutely in love with my GHD. I've been wanting to buy one for a few years now but was a bit hesitant paying $240 (Australian) so when i seen them on sale i thought i would bite the bullet! I will never buy another brand again (I've used remington and babyliss) it heats up super quick, glides through the hair like butter and takes much less time as with previous straightners i've had to go over the same strand a few times and it left my hair frizzy and needing heaps of product to smooth it down! Definetly worth the money, has 2 years warranty and barely need to use any products except hot iron spray and a tiny amount of moroccan oil. The product curls my hair perfectly and would have got the one with wider plates for my thick long hair but wanted to be able to use it to curl. A must buy for those that use a straightener often.

In 2001, ghd revolutionised the way women styled their hair with the launch of its first styler – a professional tool designed for salon use that could also be easily used at home. ghd has continued to be a leader and innovator in hair styling with its range of professional brushes, ghd Style styling products and the launch of its first hairdryer, ghd air™. Dual-Zone Technology: You will have heard of Tri-Zone Technology if you own a ghd Platinum Styler, so think of Dual-Zone Technology as its little sister. Instead of three heated regions, this styler features two, one towards the tip of the styler and another closer to the base. This essentially means the straightener has better control over the way it heats your hair, instead of over-delivering in one area and lacking in another. Think quicker styling and a more uniform look in terms of sleekness and smoothness.
"About to re-purchase!My GHD has lasted going on 9 years (literally through THICK & THIN).* Nice firm/gliding grip/No tug/pull of the hair. Opens and closes gracefully (doesn't sound like it needs WD40 LOL. EASILLY CLEANS. NO Lines are left on the hair strand , easy for clients to use with confidance as well. Doesn't project a burning steam with product close to scalp. Bevels well. Works great as a waver..... this is a Universal Flat Iron for all ethnicities!"
Lightweight Feel: If you style your hair with a straightener every day, you know how taxing it can get to hold a heavy product above your head while you utilise its magic. Thankfully, one of the key elements of the original ghd V Gold Styler has been maintained in the new model — its lightweight feel. We promise your arms won’t ache even after a solid session using this straightener!
Like all ghds, the IV heats to 185 degrees, which is perfect for creating a poker straight finish, glamorous curls or beachy waves. The floating aluminium plates make the styler easier to hold and control, while also ensuring those tell-tale dents in the hair are a thing of the past. Other features of the IV Styler include a 2.7 metre cable, an automatic shut down after 30 minutes, and universal voltage.
This overpriced iron is good if you have naturally fine, soft or wavy hair. If you have coarse, thick hair it will not do the job, or it will take you several passes. This is not unique to the GHD, this applies to ALL CERAMIC straighteners. The Auto shut off and dual voltage is awesome, but it is not worth it if the iron does not provide sleek, durable straight hair. If you have kinky, unruly, poofy hair go with TItanium, hand down!!
