my hair legit gets all the time very frizzy and never gets straight. This product is amazing and I truly think it is the real ghd it heats up quick and my hair straight lasts a very long time. Great for the price... Totally worth getting.
Achieve straight, sleek locks: Mist hair with ghd heat protect spray and place a fine section of dry hair between the plates of your ghd Classic Styler. Ensure that the styler is as close to the root as possible before closing the plates. Then gently move toward the tip of the section in one simple gliding motion. Repeat the process with each section of hair, gliding once from roots to ends.
Before curling, make sure your locks are completely dry and well combed. Put a heat protectant. Divide your hair into strands. Take one strand and run a flat iron through, twisting as you go. To get the better result, pin your curls and seal them with hairspray. Repeat until all strands are done. When your curls have cooled, release and gently brush them.
I just received my ghd classic sytler yesterday and registered it on ghd's website. It wasn't a fake and did my hair for the first time this morning with it and couldn't be happier with the results my hair feels so healthy I had tried a chi first returned it. Bought a croc which was better but still wouldn't tame my thick coarse hair without being on the 450 degree setting which made me nervous. I bought the ghd on the recommendation of a couple of friends who I trust. Read reviews on amazon and made sure to purchase the iron direct from amazon. Glad I did this flat iron is awesome my hope is that it lasts longer than a year
In addition to their exceptional hair straighteners, ghd offers innovations that'll help unleash your creative side. Amp up your beauty arsenal with specialized curling irons, wands, and more—like an amazing hair dryer—that'll give new meaning to playing with your hair! Complete your look by treating those tresses to a brush or comb from the collection.
great set of straighters for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend ghds over other brands of straighters. Each set I've had have lasted around 2 years before an electrical fault caused them to stop working I'm onto my fourth pair now.
– We have not tried the GDH straighteners, and while they look like a very professional and high-quality product, they seem very fully priced, and do not seem to have a temperature control option, which might be very helpful on your daughter’s hair. You can read some flat iron options via the link below, and I would suggest that something like the Remington S9500PP Pearl Pro Ceramic Flat Iron might be an economical option. It has a 1 inch plate (thinner is good to start with for younger hair), is reasonably priced and has good temperature control.
This is my second ghd straightener in 5 years. I will not buy another brand. It doesn’t burn your hair but will straighten it in no time at all
Ghd's are a bit of an apple like product to me and I don't usually like being a sheep however my girlfriend wanted these and who was I to argue they get hot very quickly have floating ceramic pads and my girlfriend says leave her hair feeling the best she has ever felt. I'm happy that she is happy and they seem quite well made. It's a shame you don't get any sort of a pouch which wouldn't be too outrageous on a premium product.
Ghd it's just the right size and feel and it can get at even the small hairs.arrived on time. No problems till date.
2nd ghd first one last almost 10 years love this product. Mine was real was able to register it without any issues.

This is the best straightener I've ever used. Absolutely worth what I spent on it. I use it as a curler as well
I was very hesitant to buy this product because of some of the reviews where people received a fake ghd but when I got mine it not only looked identical to the flat iron on the official ghd site I was able to successfully register my ghd iron to guarantee the 2 year warranty and such .i am really happy with my product so far and happy that I could buy it at such a discounted price
I love these my first real ghd styler it really is better than all the rest

I love this styler. Use it daily it heats up literally in seconds straightens my super thick frizzy hair very fast and as of yet has not caused noticeable damage. I absolutely think it's worth the money. Also I was able to register my product it was a genuine ghd.
The ability to create bouncy curls or waves with a flat iron (we know, it seems counter-intuitive!) is a biggie in the beauty industry and merits a bit more discussion. If you’re totally lost and there aren’t enough video tutorials on the planet to explain this weird yet awesome process, don’t worry! Just follow along with our step-by-step guide and you will be curling with the best of them in no time!
This edition of ghd has luxury christmas present written all over it plus points impressive packaging that is eye catching made of heavy cardboard and signalling a luxury product.quilted case with mirrored blue button and separator for the straighteners and it’s flex to be kept separately.quality heat may that is detachable from the case.beautifully designed straighteners in the same electric blue as the packaging with a silicone heat shield at the end.safety features cut off after 30 mins and a noise alerts you to them being plugged in being switched on or being switched off.the switch is inside the straightener so that you don’t accidentally turn it off as you are straightening your hair.plates glide through hair creating straightness without effort and as they are at the optimum 185 degrees without that crimped look at the top where you first inserted the plates.improvements that would’ve made it a 5 I needed a slightly longer flex maybe another 1 2 metre.i miss the option to choose the temperature that I had on my old straighteners. I appreciate their advice about 185 degrees being the setting that works best but I have very fine hair which is also frizzy and like to have a choice so that I can accommodate what my hair is up to that day.

I love it so much I hope it never break

Since the 1970s, women have worn their hair in a wide variety of fairly natural styles. In the 1980s, women pulled back their hair with scrunchies, stretchy ponytail holders made from cloth over fabric bands. Women also often wear glittery ornaments today, as well as claw-style barrettes used to secure ponytails and other upswept or partially upswept hairstyles.[14] Today, women and men can choose from a broad range of hairstyles, but they are still expected to wear their hair in ways that conform to gender norms: in much of the world, men with long hair and women whose hair doesn't appear carefully groomed may face various forms of discrimination, including harassment, social shaming or workplace discrimination.[35] This is somewhat less true of African-American men, who wear their hair in a variety of styles that overlap with those of African-American women, including box braids and cornrows fastened with rubber bands and dreadlocks.[36]

Great quality. I've had this for years now. I'm a black female with 3b hair. This styler is amazing. Sedu and ghd have never let me down.
I love this one had one before it broke used another for about a year glad to be back. Doesn't overheat.
I'd had a pair of nicky clarke straighteners that I couldn't seem to get on with and when I was given some amazon vouchers for christmas decided to take the plunge and buy the ghd's that everyone raves about. Well now I totally get why they rave about them. Very easy to use they straighten my thick and wavy hair in seconds. No repeating sections one sweep and the hair is straight and sleek holding the style until the next wash.yes they're pricy but in this instance you get what you pay for.
“This flat iron is amazing! It is so small, it almost looks like a flat iron for a doll. Don’t let the size fool you. I have medium-thick, naturally curly hair, and this iron had no problem getting all of my hair straight. If you are used to a flat iron, you should have no problem using this. This is the best flat iron for traveling, the gym, or stashing in your desk at work. I would highly recommend this flat iron.”
Excellent straighteners. Best I have ever had.
I was in the market for a new straightener and when I was watching videos and reading reviews of this straightener it seemed like one I would want but I couldn't find it for a really reasonable price. Then I looked at amazon and found it for about 110 that was a great deal. So I bought it and it came really fast. It also came in a really cool box. I haven't been using it very long so far but this straightener has proved to be so much better than my old con air infiniti. Best straightener ever
From the 16th to the 19th century, European women's hair became more visible while their hair coverings grew smaller, with both becoming more elaborate, and with hairstyles beginning to include ornamentation such as flowers, ostrich plumes, ropes of pearls, jewels, ribbons and small crafted objects such as replicas of ships and windmills.[14][21] Bound hair was felt to be symbolic of propriety: loosening one's hair was considered immodest and sexual, and sometimes was felt to have supernatural connotations.[22] Red hair was popular, particularly in England during the reign of the red-haired Elizabeth I, and women and aristocratic men used borax, saltpeter, saffron and sulfur powder to dye their hair red, making themselves nauseated and giving themselves headaches and nosebleeds.[12][23] During this period in Spain and Latin cultures, women wore lace mantillas, often worn over a high comb,[14][24] and in Buenos Aires, there developed a fashion for extremely large tortoise-shell hair combs called peinetón, which could measure up to three feet in height and width, and which are said by historians to have reflected the growing influence of France, rather than Spain, upon Argentinians.[25]

I would never recommend the InStyler to anyone! In fact, I think it’s positively dangerous and can’t believe that it hasn’t really changed since it first came out. It’s incredibly easy to burn yourself with this thing. There’s no protection at all from the hot barrel. Unless you have very thin hair or a personal stylist, this takes a long time to get to its claimed result of wet hair to styled hair. It takes much longer to use this on wet hair than the hot air brushes, like the Revlon you reviewed. The InStyler gets tangled in the hair very easily and is difficult to untangle without burning yourself somewhere. If you mostly dry the hair first, then very neatly section it, then use the InStyler carefully with a heat protective glove, you will eventually get about the same result as with any flat iron.

Being a bald old feller its reasonably obvious that I ordered these for my wife who over the years has become something of an expert on hair styling equipment and has been the guinea pig for this product so her thoughts on this styler....her immediate reaction was ghd they are the best make ever secondly it is a lovely looking styler and is beautifully boxed with a heat resistant protective plate guard for the blade ends and a heat resistant travel bag.my wife was truly amazed at the short heat up time the advertising says 25 seconds she says that it is almost immediate in use there are no problems though she did say that perhaps the plates could be larger otherwise no issues.so to the real nitty gritty....my question was... Would you buy this styler her reply.. No its far too expensive and even though it heats up really quickly basically its no better than cheaper stylers
There are many women for whom a flat iron simply isn’t the right choice; their sensitive or thin hair is quickly turned to toast by the high temperatures produced by flat irons. That’s why electric hair brush straighteners became an overnight sensation a few years ago when videos of these often odd-looking contraptions started popping up on YouTube and Facebook. Manufacturers quickly responded, and today there is a wide variety of brush straighteners to choose from.
The ultimate clay products at Hanz de Fuko are Quicksand and Claymation (over 3 million sold!). Quicksand is both a styling clay and dry shampoo with high hold and a dry matte finish. For the ambitious learners, Quicksand contains diatomaceous earth, a sedimentary rock that’s highly absorbent and helps plump strands. Claymation on the other hand, is a styling “clay-wax” hybrid with super high hold and a matte finish. We added a touch of Quicksand to this formula for an added boost of holding power and flexible hold.
I bought this as a replacement for a 2008 ghd and whatever they have to change the models since I absolutely love it my hair comes out shiny and smooth and it takes me half the time to straighten my wavy hair as it did before. It heats up in 10 seconds.it also has not had any residue build up on it I've had it about 6 months whereas I used to have to clean my old straightener periodically.
Weighing just over 1 pound, the BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Straightening Iron is the lightest hair straightener on our list of the best flat irons! This lightweight design makes it a great choice for users that are constantly on the go, and even when traveling. In fact, this model might make a wonderful “second straightener” for someone that wants to keep their locks looking fine on the road without toting around their heavier at-home hair straightener!
* * * Update: After returning the above-described item, I bought a ghd Classic Styler in-person from one of their authorized salon dealers (info at ghd's site). When I went to register the hologram and date codes, the ghd site accepted them on the first try. Also, the second unit I bought HAD country-of-manufacture information on the box and on the date sticker (made in China, which some other comments said isn't legit, that seems to be wrong). My unit labeled made-in-China is the one that registered successfully with ghd. Also my second purchase - from the authorized dealer - had a lot of information printed on the bottom of the box, including a bar code, web info, consumer information phone number, design info and information about the product. The unit I purchased from Amazon had NO printing on the bottom of the otherwise authentic-looking box. Draw your own conclusions. Bottom-line: if you buy a ghd styler here, double and triple-check that your unit is for real.
The RUSK Professional Straight Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy frizz-free, kink-free, smooth, silky, straight hair. Now, this baby makes use of ceramic and tourmaline infused plates along with Sol-Gel technology which protects your hair from damage and makes your hair smooth and shiny. It’s very lightweight that you barely feel it as you use it. It gets hot pretty quickly and is really great at making curls.
absolutely love it the right size and high quality item. 100 Recommended it works perfect on my hair.
Have been wanting a pair of ghds for ages but couldn't justify the cost got these for 78.00 and well worth the money. I've only had them a week but I've already used them for straightening and curling. They just make styling easy and glide through the hair smoothly. I've got thick curly hair and my hair stayed shiny straight and manageable even after I had been out in the adverse weather conditions usually only have to look at a cloud and my hair kinks and frizzes registered the product on the ghd website straight away no problems there.very happy just wish I'd bought them sooner and saved myself the stress of styling my hair and then having to put it up before I've even arrived at work because it's been ruined in the heat humidity wet.can't fault the product or amazon fast delivery great

Late 17th-century wigs were very long and wavy (see George I below), but became shorter in the mid-18th century, by which time they were normally white (George II). A very common style had a single stiff curl running round the head at the end of the hair. By the late 18th century the natural hair was often powdered to achieve the impression of a short wig, tied into a small tail or "queue" behind (George III).

so much better than my old flat iron. I definitely waited too long to purchase this
If you’ve ever used a CHI hair straightener before, then you’re probably pretty well acquainted with the turn dial temperature control of models’ past. While this dial design made it easy to switch on your hair straightener each morning (even before you have had your morning coffee!), it also made it all too easy to accidentally change the temperature during use.
Historically, working-class people's haircuts have tended to be practical and simple. Working-class men have often shaved their heads or worn their hair close-cropped, and working-class women have typically pulled their hair up and off their faces in simple styles. However, today, working-class people often have more elaborate and fashion-conscious hairstyles than other social classes. Many working-class Mexican men in American cities wear their hair in styles like the Mongolian (shaved except for a tuft of hair at the nape of the neck) or the rat tail (crewcut on top, tuft at the nape), and African-Americans often wear their hair in complex patterns of box braids and cornrows, fastened with barrettes and beads, and sometimes including shaved sections or bright colour. Sociologists say these styles are an attempt to express individuality and presence in the face of social denigration and invisibility.[47]
The ceramic plate on the FemJolie heats in just a minute or two, and the silicone tips on the bristles are quite comfortable on the scalp and gentle as they detangle, straighten and de-frizz. It’s important to note that this straightening brush is only designed to work on clean, dry hair; you won’t see the results you expect if you use it right after jumping out of the shower, and because it’s a flat brush it won’t add volume to your hair the way a barrel model would.
I absolutely love this thing best purchase ever I have dark annoying thick hair I'm asian and so a lion's mane look after hair drying isn't the best after using this ghd I would never turn back to a normal straightener I bought this in feb 2011 and after a year or so bad luck for me the ghd stopped working but without any hassle I sent it back to the manufacturers and they send me out a new one hassle free the 2nd one has had no problems think it may have been a product issue.i highly recommend this
Love love love this styler. I have very fine curly hair that requires washing or wetting every day to get the curls out. Now I can just re straighten it dry when ever I need a quick touch up. Never before had so many compliments.
Honestly the best straightener I've used. I have had many many many straighteners from cheap 30 ones to pricey 100 ones and this ghd is my favorite by far. One of the best things is that is has an automatic shut off. I can't tell you how many times I worried all day at work because I thought I might have left my hair straightener that heats up over 350 degrees on. I love that this one shuts off maybe a little too soon but still not complaining it's a great feature and not one my other pricey straightener offers. That being said this straightener is also works fantastically. It heats up very quickly and then glides evenly and smoothly for perfectly straight smooth hair. My hair is very thick with a slight wave especially in the back I was pleasantly surprised at what a good job this straightener does on my hair I don't have to go back and re do any sections and with a little product my style holds all day. I didn't think there would be that much difference between the ghb and my other pricier straightener but there is and I am not a ghb girl all the way
my old ghds where nine years old and finally died lol I got these ones and was very happy quick delivery as well very light weight compared to my old ones but I checked the authenticity of them on ghds website and they are they real mccoy lol

This straightener heats up cools down very rapidly. It's light and easy to use. Doesn't singe your hair. The delivery was very quick too. Highly recommend this ghd straightener.

just received these as my first ghds and I'm amazed just how fantastic they are. They've straightened my shoulder length hair so quickly and better than any others I have tried. If you're thinking about getting these do it you won't regret it.
my daughter has long hair and loves the effects of the ghd styler. She even uses it to put waves in her hair.
Beachwaver Co. has reached cult-level status for its super easy-to-use Beachwaver, yes, but this styling iron from the brand is equally as notable. The beauty of it is the fact that you can achieve multiple looks with it. Use as is for a sleek, straight look or apply the black Coast Pro attachments (that are shaped like a round brush) and glide the iron down each hair section, rolling your wrist under towards the ends to create the illusion of a professional blowout.
you can't go wrong with a ghd. Ready to use in seconds and it straightens perfectly

We don’t know too many people that are using their hair straighteners vertically, but there must be a few since ISA has made a point of clarifying that this model is intended only to be used horizontally, i.e., perpendicular to your hair. According to the manufacturer, using the hair straightener horizontally reduces hair pulling for a more comfortable experience. This may be particularly important to you if your hair tends to knot easily or you have unruly curls and texture.
Between 27 BC and 102 AD, in Imperial Rome, women wore their hair in complicated styles: a mass of curls on top, or in rows of waves, drawn back into ringlets or braids. Eventually noblewomen's hairstyles grew so complex that they required daily attention from several slaves and a stylist in order to be maintained. The hair was often lightened using wood ash, unslaked lime and sodium bicarbonate, or darkened with copper filings, oak-apples or leeches marinated in wine and vinegar.[12] It was augmented by wigs, hairpieces and pads, and held in place by nets, pins, combs and pomade. Under the Byzantine Empire, noblewomen covered most of their hair with silk caps and pearl nets.[13]

with all the reviews I was concerned about getting a fake. I just received my flat iron and went to the ghd site. I registered the flat iron with no problem and I also verified the link of this seller with the ghd url validator ... . It came back as this is a valid site. Approved united kingdom seller. Be aware that an adaptor may be required for use outside of united kingdom. The one I got does not need an adapter for the us. Hope this helps
I was scared to buy this iron because of the other reviews. But I did and when I got it it was authentic I registered it on the ghd website with no problem

I haven't tried to register this product but it works perfectly. It gets super hot really fast and straightens my crazy curly har. I love this iron.
The ceramic blue plates aren't just pretty; they push conditioners into the hair, quelling frizz 65 percent more efficiently than a traditional ceramic iron. Even experts were impressed. "[It] leaks heat-protective ingredients onto the hair at the exact point of contact, coating every strand during the straightening process," says cosmetic chemist Ni'Kita Wilson.
Brant Mayfield, who styles everyone from Diane von Furstenberg to Nicole Scherzinger, favors this glossy white flat iron. "It has digital single pass technology, which helps for smoothness and contains an eternal microchip that maintains an even temperature," he says. The angled edges and ceramic plates will keep your hair smooth and without kinks.
these are genuine have just registered them with ghd don't believe the reviews that say they aren't. If the seller is amazon then they are genuine
