In the 1800s, American women started wearing their hair up when they became ready to get married. Among the Fulani people of west Africa, unmarried women wear their hair ornamented with small amber beads and coins, while married women wear large amber ornaments. Marriage is signified among the Toposa women of South Sudan by wearing the hair in many small pigtails. Unmarried Hopi women have traditionally worn a "butterfly" hairstyle characterized by a twist or whorl of hair at each side of the face.
this is the best flat iron that I have owned. I had a chi and I liked it but it didn't last very long. I asked my stylist and she recommended ghd. This iron heats the plates differently than other irons. There is a much more conistent temperature across the plates which means you are going over the same area fewer times causing less damage.i have wavy hair and this tool does a great job of making it absolutely straight. I love it
all time favorite hair straightener
Bought these on the recommendation of nearly every female I know and I haven't been disappointed they arrived promptly well wrapped and I checked them on the official ghd site straight away. I have had sleek straight hair ever since...... They heat up quickly and the flashing light is a great guide to help remind to switch them off. A great price too considering most pairs I've seen are well over 100 quid.
Ghd hair products are expensive. You can buy much cheaper dryers and stylers. That said you will find that your ghd outlasts pretty much every other brand out there. And that’s ultimately what you are paying for.the build quality speaks for itself. You can feel it in the weight and quality of finish.in operation they simply work. The hairdryer is quiet and efficient. It has all the features you expect to find. The stylers straighten hair quickly and with a super smooth finish.the overall ‘wow’ factor is enhanced by the go d boxing that this set comes in.if it’s for yourself well done if it’s for a gift you are a very generous friend

my daughter is loving having ghd for the first time and am loving it so she stops using mine
I've tried other brands of straighteners and I have to say you really can't beat ghd's. They heat up really quickly and leave your hair shiny and soft. Having wasted money on other straighteners I wouldn't buy anything else again

If you are looking for faster results, a hair straightening brush is more appropriate – it is a hybrid between a brush and a straightening iron, used best on dried hair and effective even for the most unruly naturally curly hair. You can use the straightening brush on hair that is washed and dried, and obtain the straightening iron results with much easier and intuitive brushing move.
“I wanted a straightener I could use on wet hair, since I’m usually on the go and don’t always have time to dry it. With this Wet 2 Straight Hair straightener, I was able to straighten my hair after it was towel-dried and only had to go over my hair twice for it to be completely dry. Granted, I have semi-thin hair, so it doesn’t take too much to straighten it, but with other straighteners, I would have to go over it about three or four times and couldn’t straighten it when it was wet.”
the ghd iron is far superior to any other flat iron out there. I will never buy anything else. They last forever
I've had this flat iron for 3.5 years now I ordered from this exact listing as well . I'm not sure if it's fake or real but either way it is the best flat iron I have ever used. I have fine thin hard to straighten and curl hair and it works perfect on me plus on my mom with thick curly hair. It is still working great so it lasts a long time. If it ever does go out on me I will be repurchasing the same one
“I’ve owned a Conair, Chi, and I-Tech straightener before, but this one is FABULOUS! There really is no tugging at all on your hair — so smooth, and I was shocked that it truly heats up in 15 seconds, as advertised! It also does something magical to my hair: It adds more shine like no flat iron has done before. Mind you, my hair is very difficult to deal with. It has always been coarse, wavy, dry, and thick! This iron worked beautifully on my hair.”
being a bald old feller its reasonably obvious that I ordered these for my wife who over the years has become something of an expert on hair styling equipment and has been the guinea pig for this product so her thoughts on this styler....her immediate reaction was ghd they are the best make ever secondly it is a lovely looking styler and is beautifully boxed with a heat resistant protective plate guard for the blade ends and a heat resistant travel bag.my wife was truly amazed at the short heat up time the advertising says 25 seconds she says that it is almost immediate in use there are no problems though she did say that perhaps the plates could be larger otherwise no issues.so to the real nitty gritty....my question was... Would you buy this styler her reply.. No its far too expensive and even though it heats up really quickly basically its no better than cheaper stylers
BEWARE of sellers with LOW FEEDBACK! Ask sellers questions about the 22 things I have pointed out above. If they do not answer, don't buy! If they make excuses, don't buy! Also, some buyers who have been ripped off are trying to resell their GHD's to cut their losses. Watch for things like "I got it as a gift" or "I recently cut my hair". One of the seller's I purchased from was supposed to be shipping out of Georgia but he really shipped from China. Don't believe everything you read about a seller's information. They can lie.
The best flat iron I had my first one for 12 years before it stopped working I just go the exact same one and I'm so happy with it
I love it 👍
The male wig was pioneered by King Louis XIII of France (1601–1643) in 1624. Perukes or periwigs for men were introduced into the English-speaking world with other French styles in 1660. Late 17th-century wigs were very long and wavy, but became shorter in the mid-18th century, by which time they were normally white. Short hair for fashionable men was a product of the Neoclassical movement. In the early 19th century the male beard, and also moustaches and sideburns, made a strong reappearance. From the 16th to the 19th century, European women's hair became more visible while their hair coverings grew smaller. In the middle of the 18th century the pouf style developed. During the First World War, women around the world started to shift to shorter hairstyles that were easier to manage. In the early 1950s women's hair was generally curled and worn in a variety of styles and lengths. In the 1960s, many women began to wear their hair in short modern cuts such as the pixie cut, while in the 1970s, hair tended to be longer and looser. In both the 1960s and 1970s many men and women wore their hair very long and straight. In the 1980s, women pulled back their hair with scrunchies. During the 1980s, punk hairstyles were adopted by many people.
