I bought this as a replacement for a 2008 ghd and whatever they have to change the models since I absolutely love it my hair comes out shiny and smooth and it takes me half the time to straighten my wavy hair as it did before. It heats up in 10 seconds.it also has not had any residue build up on it I've had it about 6 months whereas I used to have to clean my old straightener periodically.
Ordered on 15 dec 2016 got it today warrenty garanteed and validated 18 dec2016 for 2 years
During the First World War, women around the world started to shift to shorter hairstyles that were easier to manage. In the 1920s women started for the first time to bob, shingle and crop their hair, often covering it with small head-hugging cloche hats. In Korea, the bob was called tanbal. Women began marcelling their hair, creating deep waves in it using heated scissor irons. Durable permanent waving became popular also in this period: it was an expensive, uncomfortable and time-consuming process, in which the hair was put in curlers and inserted into a steam or dry heat machine. During the 1930s women began to wear their hair slightly longer, in pageboys, bobs or waves and curls.
I got tired of trying to do a professional blowout on myself using my hair dryer with a regular round bush. My hair always came out frizzy, burnt, and just dead. After searching for a hot air brush I came upon the John Frieda brand and was amazed by the reviews, so I decided to give it a try. When the product finally arrived I was so happy! I tried it right away. I recommend letting your hair air dry first and foremost. If you're like me and it takes your roots forever to dry then go ahead and use your regular hair dryer with the flat nozzle thingy to dry your scalp first and just let it air dry. I was extremely happy with how easy it is to use.
no matter what hair straightener I purchase I always go back to my ghd hair straightener.always does an amazing job

Curling and straightening hair requires the stylist to use a curling rod or a flat iron to get a desired look. These irons use heat to manipulate the hair into a variety of waves, curls and reversing natural curls and temporarily straightening the hair. Straightening or even curling hair can damage it due to direct heat from the iron and applying chemicals afterwards to keep its shape. There are irons that have a function to straighten or curl hair even when its damp (from showering or wetting the hair), but this requires more heat than the average iron (temperatures can range from 300–450 degrees). Heat protection sprays and hair-repairing shampoos and conditioners can protect hair from damage caused by the direct heat from the irons.
these are great. They’ve kept my hair straight the whole day. The best straightners i’ve ever had.
love love love this flat iron. I have gone through two quality flat irons in the past few years. Both had wiring issues. I did the research and was looking for a great deal on a high quality product. I totally got it with this product. I was worried with some of the reviews that it wouldn't be a ghd product but before I even used it I made sure I could register it... And I was able to. Does a fabulous job straightening my hair... Love that it takes only a few seconds to heat up. And puts itself to sleep if its unused for 30 min. That was my biggest complaint about my previous solia
You won’t go wrong with the Nicky Clarke Frizz Control 1200watt Blow Dry Styler NHA045 which is designed especially to minimise frizz. Even if you’re in damp or humid conditions you’ll be amazed at how well your curl lasts. It has been made using ionic technology so neutralising positive ions found in the atmosphere (these create frizz and dull hair) and in turn produces a smooth, glossy curl.
works like a charm
I love these straightners. Despite this model not being the latest or top of the range I am extremely impressed. They heat up very quickly come beautifully packaged and do exactly what it says on the box. There is no false advertising you get quality with this product and when my pair eventually wear out I will be buying another pair of ghds.
Daughter loves her ghds
The Apalus works relatively quickly, taking approximately ten seconds per pass to straighten most types of hair, although you will have to straighten small sections at a time. That makes it an inexpensive lifesaver if you need a quick straightening before heading off to work. The Apalus hair straightener can also be used as a detangling brush and massager to straighten frizzy or unmanageable hair, if used in conjunction with Agam essential oil or Moroccan oil.
Great price for ghd's
A few swipes from a professional hair straightener can finish off a high ponytail, restore life to split ends, and give your natural curls a relaxed look for a night or two. No matter what your natural hair type may be, there is a hair straightener as unique as the gorgeous locks on your head! Here are just a few of our favorite hairstyles that can be achieved using a professional hair straightener like the ones we’ve reviewed here:
The Cloud Nine Micro Iron is one of the best hair straighteners we have tried in a smaller size. Made with ceramic plates, the styler helps to keep your hair protected as it straightens, while their cushioned style means you can use them all on all hair types and lengths. Make sure you pack this away for your summer holiday, so your locks always look lovely.
Hair in religion also plays an important role since women and men, when deciding to dedicate their life to faith, often change their haircut. Catholic nuns often cut their hair very short, and men who joined Catholic monastic orders in the eighth century adopted what was known as the tonsure, which involved shaving the tops of their heads and leaving a ring of hair around the bald crown. Many Buddhists, Hajj pilgrims and Vaisnavas, especially members of the Hare Krishna movement who are brahmacharis or sannyasis, shave their heads. Some Hindu and most Buddhist monks and nuns shave their heads upon entering their order, and Korean Buddhist monks and nuns have their heads shaved every 15 days. Adherents of Sikhism are required to wear their hair unshorn. Women usually wear it in a braid or a bun and men cover it with a turban.
Thick, coarse hair can withstand high heat AND it responds better to it. Using high heat also means that you minimize the number of passes you’ll make which will benefit your hair’s health. You’ll want a hair straightener that has adjustable heat settings with a maximum temperature reaching the 400-degree range like the HAI Beauty Concepts 1.25″ Classic Convertable Flat Iron.
This safety feature ensures that you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off your hair straightener, especially when you were in a hurry to get going. Flat irons with this feature automatically turns off after 60 to 80 minutes of run time. The Infiniti Pro by Conair Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron, for example, shuts down after 60 minutes so you never have to worry that you’re coming back to a burned down house just because you forgot that your flat iron was still on.
“The temperature of the iron can determine the curl pattern on hair that tends to fall easily, as you might need a higher heat to lock in the pattern closer to the root,” she added. “The internal components of the irons also can determine the curl pattern, and that is why it is important to invest in custom, high-end tools that contain internal heaters that go the entire length of the barrel. The higher the heat, the stronger the curl will essentially be. Low heat will produce a softer finish.”
GHD’s “styler” is permanently set to 365 degrees Fahrenheit, which the company says is the highest temperature hair can tolerate before it becomes damaged. As a person who went from a dark brunette to blonde highlights, I can vouch for its straightening power on processed hair. And though I don’t typically think of “comfort” as a flat iron necessity, the springy hinge that connects the two plates really did make it easier to clamp and glide the tool down my hair with minimal effort.
Love the styler.
Last one lasted 10 years hope this one does so also. Great wife loves it.
This is the best one . Trust me my tried them all .
I have very thick hair this works great. Didn't get the sale price. This is a good deal. I bought mine in 2000 and use it every day. Still working like the day I got it.
If being limited to only a handful of temperature settings isn’t really your cup of tea, look no further than the BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Straightening Iron!
