Generally, flat irons aren’t very good at straightening really short hair. But if you do want to give it a try, pick from the models with as narrow plates as possible. I guess, the common width of the flat iron plates is 1 inch but there may be even narrower models on the market. And for straightening short hair, choose from the models with a slim and rectangular-shaped design. This will help you to get to the roots.
these are genuine have just registered them with ghd don't believe the reviews that say they aren't. If the seller is amazon then they are genuine
I was told by my stylist to get this flat iron because my chi was totally worn out. I was a little skeptical after reading reviews that some were fakes but I ordered the sold by amazon one and I was able to register it at ghd's website. I am definitely so happy that I chose to get this styler. It is awesome. It's the one and done styler. I don't have to keep going over and over my hair to get it straight so I know it's better for my hair overall. Plus you can't beat the fact that it turns itself off after 30 minutes. It takes away my did I remember to turn it off fear every time I left the house after straightening my hair. I also have really curly hair and this makes my hair soft smooth and shiny. Definitely recommend

Wife loves this thing. The auto off feature really makes me a happy camper too.
I like soo much I needed a product like this. Really it is the best in the market. The price was the best too

There are many women for whom a flat iron simply isn’t the right choice; their sensitive or thin hair is quickly turned to toast by the high temperatures produced by flat irons. That’s why electric hair brush straighteners became an overnight sensation a few years ago when videos of these often odd-looking contraptions started popping up on YouTube and Facebook. Manufacturers quickly responded, and today there is a wide variety of brush straighteners to choose from.
as a hairstylist I'm picky about my tools. Read great reviews on this flat iron and it was on a sale. Came in a gorgeous box the tool itself is sleek and slim. Great design. Heats up in 15 seconds. Perfect grip. Love it
After reading reviews of imitation stylets I was still tempted because of the price. They registered online with no problem and are very effective. I had some ghds before which gave up and it was a false economy in purchasing an alternative brand before these. My non ghds are now designated to my emergency overnight bag and remain in the car.
I was very hesitant to buy this product because of some of the reviews where people received a fake ghd but when I got mine it not only looked identical to the flat iron on the official ghd site I was able to successfully register my ghd iron to guarantee the 2 year warranty and such .i am really happy with my product so far and happy that I could buy it at such a discounted price
great product. Top quality I bought in recommendation of my daughter and boy is this worth it
The male wig was pioneered by King Louis XIII of France (1601–1643) in 1624. Perukes or periwigs for men were introduced into the English-speaking world with other French styles in 1660. Late 17th-century wigs were very long and wavy, but became shorter in the mid-18th century, by which time they were normally white. Short hair for fashionable men was a product of the Neoclassical movement. In the early 19th century the male beard, and also moustaches and sideburns, made a strong reappearance. From the 16th to the 19th century, European women's hair became more visible while their hair coverings grew smaller. In the middle of the 18th century the pouf style developed. During the First World War, women around the world started to shift to shorter hairstyles that were easier to manage. In the early 1950s women's hair was generally curled and worn in a variety of styles and lengths. In the 1960s, many women began to wear their hair in short modern cuts such as the pixie cut, while in the 1970s, hair tended to be longer and looser. In both the 1960s and 1970s many men and women wore their hair very long and straight.[2] In the 1980s, women pulled back their hair with scrunchies. During the 1980s, punk hairstyles were adopted by many people.
Human hair wigs can be styled with heat, and they must be brushed only when dry. Synthetic and human hair wigs should be brushed dry before shampooing to remove tangles. To clean the wig, the wig should be dipped into a container with water and mild shampoo, then dipped in clear water and moved up and down to remove excess water. The wig must then be air dried naturally into its own hairstyle. Proper maintenance can make a human hair wig last for many years.

Ever since the early 2000’s when the planet collectively decided that straightening our hair to death was a good idea, beauty companies have been searching for a way to achieve beautiful and natural-looking straight looks without frying or unnecessary damage. From ceramic plates to protective sprays and everything in between, we have been desperately searching for some way, any way, to show off a straight head of hair that isn’t entirely made of straw.
Hello, ladies! This is Monica, the founder of the MyStraightener blog. In this post, I’m going to tell you about the best flat irons on the market so far and some other hair straighteners. I will also give you some tips and tricks on how to choose the best straightening iron for your hair type. At the end of the post, I’m going to answer the most common questions about using flat irons. Gosh, we have so much to discuss! I hope you have some leisure time =)
I bought these due to my old one's breaking well well well amazing I was using the ghds that heat to 210 degrees and thought when I seen these only heat to 180 degrees I wasn't at all sure. Decided to go for it due to the reviews ive read and yes ghd were right 180 degrees is perfect u don't need anymore heat they do the same job as the old ones ie curling straightening in the same time and the price just cannot be moaned at. Next day delivery service was a lifesaver.
Had to buy a new one since mine was lost in luggage. Couldn't be happier to have it back

Getting gorgeous hair at home is now within reach, thanks to professional-quality hair styling tools from ghd. The pros at ghd have made it their business to help ensure you have a great hair day every day. And with their revolutionary range of hair straighteners, styling devices, and more available at QVC, you can enjoy stunning styles without taking a trip to the salon.

Styling tools may include hair irons (including flat, curling, and crimping irons), hair dryers, and hair rollers. Hair dressing might also include the use of hair product to add texture, shine, curl, volume or hold to a particular style. Hairpins are also used when creating particular hairstyles. Their uses and designs vary over different cultural backgrounds.
so the nice thing about this one is that it does heat up very fast and it has a fast recovery rate. I have thick curly hair not wavy. So for me it works. However the curls do start to show alittle resistance by the end of the day. This model as one temp max of I think 380 degrees isn't hot enough for my hair. I think I need like 400 degrees. However the brand itself has been awesome as the plates on it doesn't caulk up with products and doesn't snag my hair. It is definitely better than anything you can buy at a store. I am okay to use it but if it breaks I will find one with a temperature settings.

Absolutely love these worth every single penny and more my hair is completely unruly and thick and it only took me 10 minutes to straighten. The best pair i’ve ever had

Ghd's are a bit of an apple like product to me and I don't usually like being a sheep however my girlfriend wanted these and who was I to argue they get hot very quickly have floating ceramic pads and my girlfriend says leave her hair feeling the best she has ever felt. I'm happy that she is happy and they seem quite well made. It's a shame you don't get any sort of a pouch which wouldn't be too outrageous on a premium product.
Can't believe how quick it heats up plug it in and 10 seconds it is beeping. Works great on my hair and leaves a beautiful shine. I have purchased other flat irons for a lot more money and am really impressed with this one. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews that this maybe a fake. That wasn't the case. As soon as I received it I went on line and was able to register it with ghd with no problems. I would recommend this one.
I love these straightners. Despite this model not being the latest or top of the range I am extremely impressed. They heat up very quickly come beautifully packaged and do exactly what it says on the box. There is no false advertising you get quality with this product and when my pair eventually wear out I will be buying another pair of ghds.
so far I love it heats up fast and doesn't pull on your hair.
Fine or thinning hair can easily become damaged under too much heat, so cooler temperatures (i.e., those under 300° F) are ideal for these hair types. If you have very curly, course, or thick hair, then higher temperatures upwards of 400° F may be more suitable to your needs. With the ISA Professional Titanium Flat Iron, you can cool it down to 265° F if need be and also crank it up to a whopping 450° F for textured styled.
Bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. She loves it. Got it for cheaper than they sell the same one at those make up stores in the mall.
this flat iron is the best one I've ever had. It heats up very quickly. It actually makes my hair shiny. It is worth every dollar I spent on it

“My daughter loves this straightening iron. As a competitive cheerleader, she finds this tool incredibly handy since it can both straighten her hair and curl it. She says it heats up incredibly fast, which for her is great, given her impatience. It provides nice, slick hair and tames all her frizzies and flyaways. All her girlfriends like to borrow it, too, for their hair.”

I would never recommend the InStyler to anyone! In fact, I think it’s positively dangerous and can’t believe that it hasn’t really changed since it first came out. It’s incredibly easy to burn yourself with this thing. There’s no protection at all from the hot barrel. Unless you have very thin hair or a personal stylist, this takes a long time to get to its claimed result of wet hair to styled hair. It takes much longer to use this on wet hair than the hot air brushes, like the Revlon you reviewed. The InStyler gets tangled in the hair very easily and is difficult to untangle without burning yourself somewhere. If you mostly dry the hair first, then very neatly section it, then use the InStyler carefully with a heat protective glove, you will eventually get about the same result as with any flat iron.

I had the hsi professional which I thought was pretty good but this ghd flat iron definitely beats it in all aspect which it better be since the price is 3x as much . First I like it that it beeps to let you know that it's ready to be used after plugged in. Second it's very light so for a person with thick hair like me usually takes forever to smooth out all my hair it's less tiring. Last but not least it straightens just in 1 2 strokes and it lasts it cuts down my hair prep time by half if not more. Save up a little longer and get this instead of hsi which is also less compact
Unlike all the other hair straighteners on our list, the Turboion RBB Croc Classic looks a little bit different. It looks more like its namesake – a croc. But that’s not the only thing that makes it stand out. First of all, the shape is unique and perfectly ergonomic. It fits very comfortably in your hands that you barely feel the strain as you style your hair. Of course, it also doesn’t hurt that it only weighs 1 pound. The smooth titanium plates on this flat iron gives you a very smooth glide. There are 17 different digital heat settings that range from 280 degrees Fahrenheit to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

You can select the required heat level from 170°F to 450°F which means this hair straightener suits for all hair types. For me, this is the best straightening iron for thick curly hair.  It heats up in about 30 seconds, and the current temperature is shown on the LCD. This KIPOZI ion straightener comes in rose pink, and its slick design is just great.

If you are unsure what exactly your hair type is (or if it has changed over the years, which happens more often than you’d think!), check out this incredible overview by the hair professionals at Redken! Don’t stress if you have combination hair (i.e., fine and curly or thin and straight) either; we recommend choosing a hair straightener based on your biggest hair complaint and focusing on that problem first. So, if your curls are driving your nuts, you will want to select a hair straightener with higher temperatures, thin hair needs moisture, etc. You’ll find that your entire hair type can usually benefit from the extra TLC!
My ghds finally broke after over 10 years so bought a new set still as good as they always have been
When it comes to straightening, the hair color doesn’t matter so much. Its thickness and health are way more important. If you have such a question, you may be one of the girls out there who have African American hair or Asian hair. Your hair is probably dense, thick, and hard to tame. For styling it, you need a flat iron that can maintain high temperatures. Other features depend on your hair length and health.
My first pair of ghd hair straighteners lasted 10 years and were in regular use so I did not hesitate in ordering another pair. The ghd iv stylers are every bit as good and definitely value for money they 'beep' when switched on and 'beep' agian when the irons are ready for use. The cord is flexible so it doesn't twist or tangle and the plates cool down quickly so can be stored away in record time. Overall I am delighted with this product and would not hesitate to recommend ghd as the 'rolls royce' of stylers.
When using a brush straightener, you should keep several things in mind. First, always apply some kind of a thermal protectant. Comb your locks properly. Second, be aware of the hot bristles – you don’t want them to touch your scalp. Third, don’t hold a brush straightener as a regular brush however tempting and easy this seems. You should hold it kind of upside down so that bristles won’t touch your skin. To straighten a strand in one pass, hold the brush tight to the surface of the hair. More detailed guide on how to use a hair straightening brush you can find in this article.

GHD went and nabbed itself a 2018 Best of Beauty award with this miracle of a flatiron. The tool maintains a constant temperature of 365 degrees Fahrenheit, but get this: It reads the thickness or thinness of the sections you use so it can adjust the amount of power it exerts. That way, it keeps the same temperature while straightening your hair and gets all the sections evenly straight without you having to worry too much about heat damage. "My hair felt relatively healthy after ironing which I am not used to," says Tracey Zane, director of content development for Allure. "The tool moves much effortlessly across my hair, and actually makes it feel silky smooth once ironing."

great set of 'original' ghd's... Had similar back in the 90's and I loved them then. I had them for years before they gave up then I tried various other cheaper makes of straightners as well as some of the limited edition ghd's ...none as good as my original ghd's. Noticed these at a good price and bought them in time for the christmas festivities I have no regrets love them

Great straighteners first pair for the missus and I think she is hooked. Loves the quick best up and thermal trip feature.
Love love love this styler. I have very fine curly hair that requires washing or wetting every day to get the curls out. Now I can just re straighten it dry when ever I need a quick touch up. Never before had so many compliments.
ohh yess I gotta love thiss one it doesnt pull ur hair pretty cool right I love it I straighten my hair in minutes and my hair is soo long long long like all the way to my waist omg I love this iron
Being a bald old feller its reasonably obvious that I ordered these for my wife who over the years has become something of an expert on hair styling equipment and has been the guinea pig for this product so her thoughts on this styler....her immediate reaction was ghd they are the best make ever secondly it is a lovely looking styler and is beautifully boxed with a heat resistant protective plate guard for the blade ends and a heat resistant travel bag.my wife was truly amazed at the short heat up time the advertising says 25 seconds she says that it is almost immediate in use there are no problems though she did say that perhaps the plates could be larger otherwise no issues.so to the real nitty gritty....my question was... Would you buy this styler her reply.. No its far too expensive and even though it heats up really quickly basically its no better than cheaper stylers
it was real it registered and everything my wife loves it
Most straighteners will have either ceramic or tourmaline plates, although a few use titanium. Ceramic is the best choice for delicate, fine or color-treated hair because it heats evenly and a bit more slowly than tourmaline or titanium with no hot spots. Tourmaline and titanium, by contrast, heat up extremely quickly and can easily damage thin or sensitive hair before you’re even aware that it’s happened. For thick hair, though, tourmaline or titanium are the way to go; tourmaline has the added benefit of producing 20x more negative ions, making hair moist and silky and reducing frizz.
I've had this flat iron for 3.5 years now I ordered from this exact listing as well . I'm not sure if it's fake or real but either way it is the best flat iron I have ever used. I have fine thin hard to straighten and curl hair and it works perfect on me plus on my mom with thick curly hair. It is still working great so it lasts a long time. If it ever does go out on me I will be repurchasing the same one
Work great
as a hairstylist I'm picky about my tools. Read great reviews on this flat iron and it was on a sale. Came in a gorgeous box the tool itself is sleek and slim. Great design. Heats up in 15 seconds. Perfect grip. Love it
Just received my ghd classic I inch iron looooooooove it. Love it heat up fast and the lcd light is very good feature. And it gave my hair very nice look after using it. Now just have to see how long this machine would last loving it so far
The best flat iron there is.. Doesn't damage your hair as much because you only need to pass it once or twice through your hair... I bought this years ago and still works..
Original ghd stylers registered them on the official website to make sure they were ghd would definitely recommend this product don't be deceived by the price they are definitely original
I don't use the straightener very often but it has worked great for me. Gets very hot very quickly and does what it is suppose to do.
was really pleased with my ghd after many years of keep buying cheap straightners I think I must have bought at least 4.i finally decided to treat myself to some good ghd
