Good value ghd brought for my daughter. She is pleased with it and so far no complaints. It does what it says on the tin.

hello everyone I'm from spain and this product is so much more expensive here than in the usa so I was afraid of the fake items sold throught the internet. Even so I decided to buy this one and a remington curl wand throught amazon.com too and I have to say that I'm really happy with it because this brand is amazing. You get perfect hairstyles with very proffessional finishing touchs. I recommend this item to everybody who has a very messy and untameable hair like me
When it comes to straightening, the hair color doesn’t matter so much. Its thickness and health are way more important. If you have such a question, you may be one of the girls out there who have African American hair or Asian hair. Your hair is probably dense, thick, and hard to tame. For styling it, you need a flat iron that can maintain high temperatures. Other features depend on your hair length and health.
Nothing much to say except for this is the best investment I've ever made it leaves my hair so perfect and I love that it goes into sleep mode. Such a cool feature
Ghd styler is the best. Had it for years
After all, there are so many different hair types, short, medium and long lengths not to mention a variety of textures. Rather than ploughing through the thousands of stylers on the market I have written a short guide as to those I think will work for you.  The information is extracted reviews by people just like you, with different hair types and expectations….so read on for what my recommendations are:<
Creative director of GLAMSQUAD Giovanni Vaccaro prefers this flat iron by Sedu. "The ceramic plates are really key to maintain the integrity and healthiness of the hair," he says. To get expertly straight hair, Vaccaro recommends using a boar-bristle brush to help mediate frizz, and that "the follow through is key" when moving the iron and comb completely from roots to tips.
I really liked this device it has light weight and easy to use. Also it is become hot in few seconds.
I previously owned a basic chi for about 4 years until it recently stopped working. I bought this one after using a friend's ghd styler and I love it it does a much better job than my chi ever did and my hair stays straight for longer
Ghd quality is well known in the beauty industry and is reflected in this styler. It works better than any other my wife has used. Sure the less expensive ones work just not as quickly and typically others do not work anywhere in the world this one does. I ordered it gift wrapped and so pleased I did not only was the box and wrapping suburb but disguised the contents resulting in a big surprise on christmas day. It was recommended to us from a close friend and I recommend it to you too.
Wife having as replacement after 5 years using first one ghd.
I was scared to buy this iron because of the other reviews. But I did and when I got it it was authentic I registered it on the ghd website with no problem
this was a gift for someone that was well worth it. As I have been told repeatedly since.. Unless its ghd its not a proper straightener.

Love the styler.
I had heard from a number of people that the ghd was the goddess of straighteners but I must admit I was sceptical. I bought a cheap straightener a few years ago and rarely used it as it took ages to heat up and wasn't very effective. Finally having had enough of looking a mess I decided to go for it and try the ghd and I'm delighted to report it lives up to its reputation. It heats in a matter of seconds and it glides through my hair quickly and smoothly.one little niggle for me is that ghd didn't supply a little bag to store the straighteners considering the price surely they could have thrown one in for the sake of customer contentment however apart from that it's a first rate implement.i got compliments the first time I used it mind you I had been looking like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards up to then. So thanks ghd for unveiling the new sleek me
Think of this as an updated version of your regular hairbrush. Its double negative ion technology gives your hair that glass-like shine without any static whatsoever. Its ceramic bristles with nylon cool-tips help keep damage to a minimum by releasing far-infrared heat — in a mere moment, it penetrates the outer layer of the hair cuticle and heats it from the inside out.
Heats up quickly and works great at straightening my hair.

love this straightener. Heats up in no time and makes my hair nice and silky. No burnt smells. And has auto shut off.
Amazing product.
Love this brand very happy
Not my first ghd. Very happy with both of them. My last one quit so I'm hoping this one lasts longer.
GHD went and nabbed itself a 2018 Best of Beauty award with this miracle of a flatiron. The tool maintains a constant temperature of 365 degrees Fahrenheit, but get this: It reads the thickness or thinness of the sections you use so it can adjust the amount of power it exerts. That way, it keeps the same temperature while straightening your hair and gets all the sections evenly straight without you having to worry too much about heat damage. "My hair felt relatively healthy after ironing which I am not used to," says Tracey Zane, director of content development for Allure. "The tool moves much effortlessly across my hair, and actually makes it feel silky smooth once ironing."

In summary, you will want to buy a hair brush straightener that has a lower temp range, from about 250-300° (any temps higher than that and you are likely to damage your hair – start at the lowest temp possible and work up if needed). You will also want to consider a ceramic model they will heat evenly and a bit more slowly and will not create hot spots which can damage fine hair.

I had a set of ghd straighteners a few years back and my daughter always said they were the best she used.this new set is of apparent equal standard containing the straighteners and a heat resistant mat. The real bonus with these is the heat limiting built in setting of 185 degrees which ensures no hair burn. The second bonus is the hot plates being both above and below the hair.great and highly recommended

You won’t go wrong with the Nicky Clarke Frizz Control 1200watt Blow Dry Styler NHA045 which is designed especially to minimise frizz.  Even if you’re in damp or humid conditions you’ll be amazed at how well your curl lasts.  It has been made using ionic technology so neutralising positive ions found in the atmosphere (these create frizz and dull hair) and in turn produces a smooth, glossy curl.

the best hair straightener I have ever used. Could not have been happier with the results.

This hair straightener makes use of macadamia conditioning treatment and water to give your hair cool micro-vapor that can rehydrate your hair and protect it against damage. The heat up time is just 30 seconds. There are 5 temperature settings, ranging from 300 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The flat iron also features a swivel cord, a hinge lock, a digital display, and an automatic shut off (60 minutes).
This ghd is the real deal. It works great on my hair. I also registered my ghd online when I received it to ensure it's the genuine deal and it is. I love it the only thing this product did not come with a carry pouch for the hair iron and there is no temperature control. Other than that it is great

The 9-foot power cord means you never have to worry how far away the outlet is from where you’ll be styling your hair. It is more expensive than some of our other picks but it’s not as expensive as the BabylissPRO. However, it doesn’t have an automatic shut off feature and the temperature range only reaches 410 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, there have been reports from users that their HAI Classic only lasted a year or two.

Fabulous straightener

I purchased this for my daughter. She loves it her hair looks great. She really loves the auto off function. Amazon was great and had the product to me on time.
Brant Mayfield, who styles everyone from Diane von Furstenberg to Nicole Scherzinger, favors this glossy white flat iron. "It has digital single pass technology, which helps for smoothness and contains an eternal microchip that maintains an even temperature," he says. The angled edges and ceramic plates will keep your hair smooth and without kinks.

The ceramic plate on the FemJolie heats in just a minute or two, and the silicone tips on the bristles are quite comfortable on the scalp and gentle as they detangle, straighten and de-frizz. It’s important to note that this straightening brush is only designed to work on clean, dry hair; you won’t see the results you expect if you use it right after jumping out of the shower, and because it’s a flat brush it won’t add volume to your hair the way a barrel model would.
received within time promised. Love this iron works great heats up with in a minute. This iron was recommended to me by my hair style list its a great product
Perfect for all hair types—including curls, fine, thick, long, short, extensons, wigs, or weaves—Tangle Teezer's Compact Styler helps reduce hair loss and cuticle damage. Offering pain-free detangling for wet and dry hair, you can use this in the shower to brush through conditioning treatments. The patented teeth formation bends and flexes through the hair, while the convenient clip-on/off cover protects teeth when in your luggage, gym bag, or handbag. Plus, the ergonomically designed shape fits snugly in your palm for creative styling and easy handling.
The amazing number one selling hot air styler the Babyliss 2777U Big Hair Rotating Styler does everything for you except wash your hair!  The rotating mechanism changes direction from clockwise to anti-clockwise meaning your hair is soon a mass of beautiful tumbling curls bringing salon style results to your home.Developed with ionic technology, it has the ability to produce great shine and lustre to even the dullest of hair and it has 2 speed settings plus a cool shot as well as 2 heat settings.  I believe this to be an all over winner (I have one) but it is not suitable for shorter hair styles.  It sells at a discount on Amazon.co.uk and is well worth the investment.  Out of 782 reviews, 544 users gave it 5 stars and 117 users 4 stars.  It’s a winner!
If you are unsure what exactly your hair type is (or if it has changed over the years, which happens more often than you’d think!), check out this incredible overview by the hair professionals at Redken! Don’t stress if you have combination hair (i.e., fine and curly or thin and straight) either; we recommend choosing a hair straightener based on your biggest hair complaint and focusing on that problem first. So, if your curls are driving your nuts, you will want to select a hair straightener with higher temperatures, thin hair needs moisture, etc. You’ll find that your entire hair type can usually benefit from the extra TLC!
After living in australia and going to a salon there that used a ghd flat iron on my hair I've always wanted one. But because of the price I often settled for the less expensive brands. I had a sedu but it recently died and I found that the ghd sold on amazon had such a great price I just had to get it. It was definitely worth it I love how I only need to flat iron a section once and it's perfect. Because I have curly hair it usually takes me 40 mins to flat iron my hair but now with the ghd styler it only takes about 25 mins. From now on I'm only using ghd stylers.
Don't ever consider buying any other brand of hair straighteners. I have very curly hair and these are the only straighteners that actually so the job and I have tried many over the last 15 years.
Excellent straighteners. Best I have ever had.
this was a birthday present for my daughter and she received it by her birthday and was extremely happy with it. Works great with her corse hair.

These are not a good as the origanal ghds. I use them for curling but it’s as if they don’t get hot. They don’t seem as smooth on the hair either
Awesome

I don’t think the flat iron as a styling tool needs any introduction, and many of you have probably used one at some point. I know how hard it is to pick the perfect styling tool for your hair – at least, the one that’s good enough. So, to make it a bit easier for you, I’ve decided to draw up a list of top 10 flat irons. It’s based on both, my own experience and other people’s flat irons reviews. So, I’m trying to be objective and bias-free here.
keeps my wifes hair nice and straight for those rough nights.
this is my second ghd my first lasted 10 years. Does not break hair. My hair is thick but fine and breaks easily. I have no problems with it. Hope this one lasts another 10 years
Original ghd stylers registered them on the official website to make sure they were ghd would definitely recommend this product don't be deceived by the price they are definitely original
I got a genuine ghd flat iron and was sure to register it right away. Some others say they didn't get a genuine one but mine was. It works very well and makes my styling time much faster. I like knowing I'm not frying my hair with an over the counter flat iron.

love it highly recommended and will buy again if need be. I've tried other flat irons and this one seems to work best for my wavy frizzy hair.

love this hair iron. Best iron I've owned aside from chi.
excellent product best on the market
I was scared to buy this iron because of the other reviews. But I did and when I got it it was authentic I registered it on the ghd website with no problem
love this hair iron. Best iron I've owned aside from chi.

Ghd is the best hair styler I've ever got it's very fast in heating up .. And you'll be ready in no timeit would be great if it included a glove though
This straightener heats up cools down very rapidly. It's light and easy to use. Doesn't singe your hair. The delivery was very quick too. Highly recommend this ghd straightener.

this edition of ghd has luxury christmas present written all over it plus points impressive packaging that is eye catching made of heavy cardboard and signalling a luxury product.quilted case with mirrored blue button and separator for the straighteners and it’s flex to be kept separately.quality heat may that is detachable from the case.beautifully designed straighteners in the same electric blue as the packaging with a silicone heat shield at the end.safety features cut off after 30 mins and a noise alerts you to them being plugged in being switched on or being switched off.the switch is inside the straightener so that you don’t accidentally turn it off as you are straightening your hair.plates glide through hair creating straightness without effort and as they are at the optimum 185 degrees without that crimped look at the top where you first inserted the plates.improvements that would’ve made it a 5 I needed a slightly longer flex maybe another 1 2 metre.i miss the option to choose the temperature that I had on my old straighteners. I appreciate their advice about 185 degrees being the setting that works best but I have very fine hair which is also frizzy and like to have a choice so that I can accommodate what my hair is up to that day.
The BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Straightening Iron really is the Baskin Robins of hair straighteners, making it the perfect choice for anyone that wants to straighten their hair quickly. Whether you have naturally short hair and opt for extensions on occasion or you just chopped off your do’ into a new pixie cut, you will have a hard time not finding the perfect heat setting for your hair so many choices!

I have an older chi styler that is wider so I thought I'd give this ghd 1 a try. It heats really quickly and beeps to let you know it's ready. It also has a flashing led light. Even though I have beyond shoulder length hair it is very fine in texture. This narrower styler worked better for me. I can curl the ends under or flip it easier than with the wider styler. It glides through my hair without any tugs or pulls. It has a sleep mode in case you forget to turn it off. After 30 minutes it starts to cool down. The only negative is that it's hard to set it on the counter like it shows in the picture because the black part is so rounded that it wants to fall over. My chi is slightly flattened I guess it doesn't hurt for it to lay on its side since there is a small gap between the plate and the edge of the styler so the plate doesn't make contact with the counter but I wouldn't go off and leave it. It has a swivel cord which is a must for this type of styler.i don't use a styler often because my hair is fragile but when I do I will probably reach for this one. It leaves my hair smooth and shiny. It comes very nicely boxed so it would make a nice gift.addition I didn't realize when I wrote this review that there was a controversy over fake ghd stylers but I just registered mine and it is the real thing.

Creative director of GLAMSQUAD Giovanni Vaccaro prefers this flat iron by Sedu. "The ceramic plates are really key to maintain the integrity and healthiness of the hair," he says. Stylists often wash a subject's hair first, so that the hair is cut while still slightly damp. Compared to dry hair, wet hair can be easier to manage in a cut/style situation because the added weight and surface tension of the water cause the strands to stretch downward and cling together along the hair's length, holding a line and making it easier for the stylist to create a form. It is important to note that this method of cutting hair while wet, may be most suitable (or common) for straight hair types. Curly, kinky and other types of hair textures with considerable volume may benefit from cutting while dry, as the hair is in a more natural state and the hair can be cut evenly.
This is a beautifully presented ghd gift set with a hairdryer and hair straighteners that feel tactile and look aesthetically very pleasing. You also get a hairdryer nozzle for precision drying a heat resistant mat and a heatproof plate guard for the straighteners these are located under the plastic tray packaging inside the box so don’t forget to lift it out .the hairdryer feels like a good weight but the weight is evenly distributed so it feels comfortable to hold and maneuverer around your head. It’s got two speed settings three heat settings plus a true cool shot button. It’s overall quieter and more comfortable to use than my old tigi joystick hairdryer which i’ve been using for the past few years and has a much longer body shape. I like the heat variations available as the middle setting provides gentle heat which isn’t always available especially with hairdryers that only have 2 heat settings available other than that it’s no better or worse than other hairdryers i’ve experienced.the straighteners are the quality you would expect from ghd and they are very much styled around the classic straighteners if you are familiar with them except instead of an on off switch there’s a button you have to press button down for a couple of seconds. I admittedly don’t like the button as it’s hard to tell whether the straighteners have been turned off after use as you can’t see the pale blue led in a bright sunny room. The straighteners heat up very fast though in about 15 seconds and there is a nice safety feature included where the straighteners will turn off automatically after 30 minutes if they have been hastily abandoned left on. The straighteners feel a bit hotter than my classic ghd’s but I haven’t located any info about the temperature so I can’t be sure of this. They are effective though I have fine medium length hair and it only takes a few minutes to straighten and my hair feels smooth and looks shiny and healthy.i’m really pleased with my ghd set everything feels so well made and they feel like luxury products built to last time will tell if this is true of course but it’s all working well as it should be at the moment. The box packaging really adds to the whole luxury feel of it all too so it feels like a well earned treat to purchase for yourself and I think it also makes a special gift for someone that you know they can enjoy using everyday.
Works great

This is so much better than the drugstore purchased flat iron that I've been using. The ghd classic 1 inch styler heats up fast and maintains the perfect temperature while styling my hair. The extra long cord 9 feet is something that I'm going to have to get used to but I do see how it would be perfect for professional stylists to use in salons. The ceramic plates come together perfectly and there's even a little extra give when I squeeze them over my hair. I appreciate that this has a reset button on the plug to keep the user from getting shocked while using. I even loved how this arrived in a beautiful box. My hair looks great and I am looking forward to using this for years to come.
Have been wanting a pair of ghds for ages but couldn't justify the cost got these for 78.00 and well worth the money. I've only had them a week but I've already used them for straightening and curling. They just make styling easy and glide through the hair smoothly. I've got thick curly hair and my hair stayed shiny straight and manageable even after I had been out in the adverse weather conditions usually only have to look at a cloud and my hair kinks and frizzes registered the product on the ghd website straight away no problems there.very happy just wish I'd bought them sooner and saved myself the stress of styling my hair and then having to put it up before I've even arrived at work because it's been ruined in the heat humidity wet.can't fault the product or amazon fast delivery great
Since 2004, ghd has raised approximately £2.5 million for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.[28] The company produces a limited edition pink hair iron every year, with £10 of the sale price being donated in support the charity.[29] In 2010, ghd partnered with charity "Mom It Forward" and SafeHouse Denver, a women’s shelter that serves victims of domestic violence and their children, in an event at Sephora.[30]
Some people may cover their hair totally or partially for cultural or religious reasons. Notable examples of head covering include women in Islam who wear the hijab, married women in Haredi Judaism who wear the sheitel, married Himba men who cover their hair except when in mourning, Tuareg men who wear a veil, and baptized men and women in Sikhism who wear the dastar.[3][4][5][6][7]
