Best flat iron ever.....gets very hot
Great product
This edition of ghd has luxury christmas present written all over it plus points impressive packaging that is eye catching made of heavy cardboard and signalling a luxury product.quilted case with mirrored blue button and separator for the straighteners and it’s flex to be kept separately.quality heat may that is detachable from the case.beautifully designed straighteners in the same electric blue as the packaging with a silicone heat shield at the end.safety features cut off after 30 mins and a noise alerts you to them being plugged in being switched on or being switched off.the switch is inside the straightener so that you don’t accidentally turn it off as you are straightening your hair.plates glide through hair creating straightness without effort and as they are at the optimum 185 degrees without that crimped look at the top where you first inserted the plates.improvements that would’ve made it a 5 I needed a slightly longer flex maybe another 1 2 metre.i miss the option to choose the temperature that I had on my old straighteners. I appreciate their advice about 185 degrees being the setting that works best but I have very fine hair which is also frizzy and like to have a choice so that I can accommodate what my hair is up to that day.
You won’t go wrong with the Nicky Clarke Frizz Control 1200watt Blow Dry Styler NHA045 which is designed especially to minimise frizz.  Even if you’re in damp or humid conditions you’ll be amazed at how well your curl lasts.  It has been made using ionic technology so neutralising positive ions found in the atmosphere (these create frizz and dull hair) and in turn produces a smooth, glossy curl.
Haircuts also occur in space at the International Space Station. During the various expeditions astronauts use hair clippers attached to vacuum devices for grooming their colleagues so that the cut hair will not drift inside the weightless environment of the space station and become a nuisance to the astronauts or a hazard to the sensitive equipment installations inside the station.[49][50][51]
I have been using straighteners for a number of years but not until now have I found the best yet... They are very kind to my hair and make a huge difference... I will always use ghd's from here on in.
There is a real risk of damaging your hair if you use a flat iron or hairbrush straightening tool on wet hair (or even damp hair if you have thin hair and are not extremely careful). The quick application of heat on wet hair brings the water within the hair follicle to a quick boil, the bubbles are then pushed out resulting in split ends and cracks in the hair. At the same time, essential vitamins and minerals are forced out which further adds to the problem, reducing the hairs natural elasticity which can lead to further brittleness and breakages. All of these issues can be further compounded if you have any residual product in your hair (especially any products containing alcohol) as these chemicals are boiled into the hair follicle.
The ultimate clay products at Hanz de Fuko are Quicksand and Claymation (over 3 million sold!). Quicksand is both a styling clay and dry shampoo with high hold and a dry matte finish. For the ambitious learners, Quicksand contains diatomaceous earth, a sedimentary rock that’s highly absorbent and helps plump strands. Claymation on the other hand, is a styling “clay-wax” hybrid with super high hold and a matte finish. We added a touch of Quicksand to this formula for an added boost of holding power and flexible hold.
The great thing about beauty is that there is something for everyone. Even as the trend these days is skewing towards plenty of texture and heatless styling, the tried-and-true flatiron still has its place. I mean, with social media going crazy over the super-sleek look of glass hair, it's clear that straight hair ain't going anywhere. After all, some of us just want smooth strands from time to time — or, depending on who you are, most of the time. But pressing your hair between two scorching-hot plates can be a recipe for a dried, sizzled, frizzy disaster. Or at least it can be if you're using the wrong flatiron. On the flip side, using a good one can make all the world of difference. And that's where we come in. We've scoured the world of flatirons to bring you the best of the best, at a range of price points. So whether you've got the coins for an affordable Conair or can shell out the big bucks for a Harry Josh, these 20 straighteners will give you that just-back-from-the-salon look — minus the scorch.

does exactly what it is supposed to and is a ghd. The registration worked fine although the registration numbers were not on the cord as ghd site suggests. They are actually on the label inside of the iron by the power switch and hard to read. My daughter tried one of these while in the uk and had to have one. Hopefully it lasts as they are spendy. Best price here on amazon.
Stylists often wash a subject's hair first, so that the hair is cut while still slightly damp. Compared to dry hair, wet hair can be easier to manage in a cut/style situation because the added weight and surface tension of the water cause the strands to stretch downward and cling together along the hair's length, holding a line and making it easier for the stylist to create a form. It is important to note that this method of cutting hair while wet, may be most suitable (or common) for straight hair types. Curly, kinky and other types of hair textures with considerable volume may benefit from cutting while dry, as the hair is in a more natural state and the hair can be cut evenly.
If you have stubborn, never-listens-to-me-no-matter-what-I-do hair, titanium is the material you need to set your eye on. Titanium is a metal that is excellent at conducting heat which means that your plates heat up quickly. This metal also keeps heat consistent so there are minimal changes in temperature that could damage your hair in the long run. What makes this great for thick, curly, unruly hair is that it can reach and maintain a high heat for quite a bit of time AND emit 60% more negative ions than ceramic. These two characteristics mean that you get to de-frizz your hair in a shorter amount of time with fewer number of passes.
I was nervous after reading some reviews that others received a fake ghd. I had no problem registering this on their website and it looks identical to my old model which I bought for double the price four years ago.
Bought these as a present for a friend to replace an old pair of ghd's she is extremely pleased with them they straighten her wavy hair easily and quickly...i'm thinking of purchasing a pair for when my ghd's finally give up on me.
