This ghd is the real deal. It works great on my hair. I also registered my ghd online when I received it to ensure it's the genuine deal and it is. I love it the only thing this product did not come with a carry pouch for the hair iron and there is no temperature control. Other than that it is great
so let me clear up some of the mixed reviews. When you click on the link to this straightener the ghd classic styler the item is sold by different sellers. So someone who buys today may not buy from the same place that had the straightener yesterday. Which explains why some have received fakes. Click on the seller read the reviews about them do your research.however with that being said I purchased mine from salon logistix my ghd was authentic and I was able register it with the ghd site. I straightened my hair 30 minutes ago with it and am so happy with my purchase. I have natural caucasian hair but my waves are deep and usually take a couple passes to go away. This straightener ironed them out in about 2 passes. It heats up in seconds makes little beeps when turned on and hot and never snagged my hair huge problem with my chi . I would definitely recommend this straightener I previously paid 250 for a t3 mane tamer this ghd does just as well and for less than half the price
all the family love ghd straighteners and we would not buy any other straighteners because of the fantastic quality and longevity of these items.
Very pleased with this product I bought 2
I bought a ghd in london while traveling. I couldn't love a hair straightener more. It heats up so quickly and is universal voltage so you can use it anywhere in the world. I've had mine for over a year and use it almost every day. Don't mind the price it is worth it
In the early 1870s, in a shift that historians attribute to the influence of the West, Japanese men began cutting their hair into styles known as jangiri or zangiri (which roughly means "random cropping"). During this period, Asian women were still wearing traditional hairstyles held up with combs, pins and sticks crafted from tortoise, metal, wood and other materials, but in the middle 1880s, upper-class Japanese women began pushing back their hair in the Western style (known as sokuhatsu), or adopting Westernized versions of traditional Japanese hairstyles (these were called yakaimaki, or literally, soirée chignon).
Ghd have a big reputation to uphold and they more than maintain it with this wonderful gift set. The presentation box is worth a sentence alone. It's grandiose and gold really looks the part and will absolutely impress anyone who receives this.next onto the core part of the product the hairdryer and tongs. Both are of exceptional quality and you can tell that they are a cut above your usual high street products which might retail at a lower price. There are a good variety of settings on each of the products and these ensure that the products adapt to whatever your hair requires there is no doubt this pricey but in this case price really does equal quality and for that reason I can recommend.
At most times in most cultures, men have worn their hair in styles that are different from women's. American sociologist Rose Weitz once wrote that the most widespread cultural rule about hair is that women's hair must differ from men's hair. An exception is the men and women living in the Orinoco-Amazon Basin, where traditionally both genders have worn their hair cut into a bowl shape. In Western countries in the 1960s, both young men and young women wore their hair long and natural, and since then it has become more common for men to grow their hair. During most periods in human history when men and women wore similar hairstyles, as in the 1920s and 1960s, it has generated significant social concern and approbation.
If you are looking for faster results, a hair straightening brush is more appropriate – it is a hybrid between a brush and a straightening iron, used best on dried hair and effective even for the most unruly naturally curly hair. You can use the straightening brush on hair that is washed and dried, and obtain the straightening iron results with much easier and intuitive brushing move.
you can't go wrong with a ghd. Ready to use in seconds and it straightens perfectly
I've used these straighter for years and love them. They get so hot and I can do my thick hair in a few minutes. Plus they are salon level so have the extra long cord. However it sounds like you need to buy from the ghd website. I did and it arrived pretty fast about a week I think you know its genuine and the price is the same at 150.
* * * Update: After returning the above-described item, I bought a ghd Classic Styler in-person from one of their authorized salon dealers (info at ghd's site). When I went to register the hologram and date codes, the ghd site accepted them on the first try. Also, the second unit I bought HAD country-of-manufacture information on the box and on the date sticker (made in China, which some other comments said isn't legit, that seems to be wrong). My unit labeled made-in-China is the one that registered successfully with ghd. Also my second purchase - from the authorized dealer - had a lot of information printed on the bottom of the box, including a bar code, web info, consumer information phone number, design info and information about the product. The unit I purchased from Amazon had NO printing on the bottom of the otherwise authentic-looking box. Draw your own conclusions. Bottom-line: if you buy a ghd styler here, double and triple-check that your unit is for real.
The ceramic plates on this hair straightener ensure that hair remains glossy and nourished even through the high-level of heat. A brilliant all-rounder for quick and effortless everyday styling, the ghd IV Hair Straightener can create both smooth locks and curls; making it a great multi-tasking product. Suitable for all hair types and lengths, the styler glides smoothly through the hair in one gentle action so snagging is reduced.
great set of 'original' ghd's... Had similar back in the 90's and I loved them then. I had them for years before they gave up then I tried various other cheaper makes of straightners as well as some of the limited edition ghd's ...none as good as my original ghd's. Noticed these at a good price and bought them in time for the christmas festivities I have no regrets love them

This is my second ghd straightener in 5 years. I will not buy another brand. It doesn’t burn your hair but will straighten it in no time at all
love it heats up quick and does a great job.
If you are unsure what exactly your hair type is (or if it has changed over the years, which happens more often than you’d think!), check out this incredible overview by the hair professionals at Redken! Don’t stress if you have combination hair (i.e., fine and curly or thin and straight) either; we recommend choosing a hair straightener based on your biggest hair complaint and focusing on that problem first. So, if your curls are driving your nuts, you will want to select a hair straightener with higher temperatures, thin hair needs moisture, etc. You’ll find that your entire hair type can usually benefit from the extra TLC!
I received the classic styler by ghd today and it is 100 authentic. I registered it on the ghd website and the registration was confirmed. This styler retails for 185 and amazon had it for 109.it works great make sure to order from amazon and not a third party.
I had no problems registering my straightener and it works perfectly I love it it straightens so easily and doesn't snag at all like the chi does I would definitely recommend it to anyone
The Herstyler flat iron comes with a protective glove which will probably come in handy as this professional straightener can heat from 180°F up to 500°F. It makes it really good at straightening thick and frizzy hair, yet the controls don’t have exact numbers in between the minimum and the maximum, so you’re supposed to guess the current temperature.
Short hair for fashionable men was a product of the Neoclassical movement. Classically inspired male hair styles included the Bedford Crop, arguably the precursor of most plain modern male styles, which was invented by the radical politician Francis Russell, 5th Duke of Bedford as a protest against a tax on hair powder; he encouraged his frends to adopt it by betting them they would not. Another influential style (or group of styles) was named by the French "à la Titus" after Titus Junius Brutus (not in fact the Roman Emperor Titus as often assumed), with hair short and layered but somewhat piled up on the crown, often with restrained quiffs or locks hanging down; variants are familiar from the hair of both Napoleon and George IV of England. The style was supposed to have been introduced by the actor François-Joseph Talma, who upstaged his wigged co-actors when appearing in productions of works such as Voltaire's Brutus (about Lucius Junius Brutus, who orders the execution of his son Titus). In 1799, a Parisian fashion magazine reported that even bald men were adopting Titus wigs, and the style was also worn by women, the Journal de Paris reporting in 1802 that "more than half of elegant women were wearing their hair or wig à la Titus."
Exactly what I was looking for for a gift.my daughter in law loves it.
love this straightener. It heats up really quickly and will automatically shut off after a while an hour I think if it hasn't been used. It only has one heat setting. Also it's universal voltage so I was able to travel overseas with it very easily.
Exactly what I was looking for for a gift.my daughter in law loves it.
“The temperature of the iron can determine the curl pattern on hair that tends to fall easily, as you might need a higher heat to lock in the pattern closer to the root,” she added. “The internal components of the irons also can determine the curl pattern, and that is why it is important to invest in custom, high-end tools that contain internal heaters that go the entire length of the barrel. The higher the heat, the stronger the curl will essentially be. Low heat will produce a softer finish.”
always recommend ghds
