Just what you expect from ghd the wife loves them and they do a fantastic job
Consider this the perfect flat iron for full hair. "It is great for thicker textures because it distributes heat evenly, allowing for less passes through the hair," explains stylist Lacy Redway. The plates "make it easier to straighten or curl longer hair lengths." Redway was responsible for  Tessa Thompson’s sleek ‘do on her past ELLE cover, so you know it’s top-notch.

My hairdresser really rates ghd products saying they know about hair and make sure their products style without causing damage. Everything about the ghd styler speaks of quality and a lot of attention to detail. The blue accented shoebox outer packaging is pretty enough to use for long term visible storage a heat resistant mat wraps around the storage bag and the straighteners themselves have metallic icy blue accents bringing the whole thing together into a coordinated package.heating up time is fast at a few seconds with a helpful 'beep' sounding at switch on accompanied by a flashing light. You are alerted to full heat attainment by further beeps and a constant light. A full head of curly tending towards frizzy shoulder length hair was straight within a couple of minutes.the cord length was ample for my requirements and the straighteners proved easy to use. The plates made short work of the task and a useful silicone guard safely holds the plates together once you're done. Everything then packs neatly away into a storage bag which has a divider to ensure the lead and plug remain separate to the styler and around which the heat resistant mat clips into place.in summary• fast heat up time of a few seconds• beeps to alert once ready for use• easy to use with a generous lead• simple on off switch no temperature control needed • heat resistant mat and storage bag• silicone guard to hold the plates closed for easy storagethis would make a beautiful gift whether to self or another delivering both practicality and icy good looks.

This is so much better than the drugstore purchased flat iron that I've been using. The ghd classic 1 inch styler heats up fast and maintains the perfect temperature while styling my hair. The extra long cord 9 feet is something that I'm going to have to get used to but I do see how it would be perfect for professional stylists to use in salons. The ceramic plates come together perfectly and there's even a little extra give when I squeeze them over my hair. I appreciate that this has a reset button on the plug to keep the user from getting shocked while using. I even loved how this arrived in a beautiful box. My hair looks great and I am looking forward to using this for years to come.
I've always wanted ghd's but never really had the budget for it so decided this birthday 24 after moving to the states and throwing my 30 pair in the bin I would treat myself. Best decision ever great irons and using them so much more than my old ones as they are so quick and easy. My hair is very thick so it used to take ages to style with my old irons. So much easier now
There is a real risk of damaging your hair if you use a flat iron or hairbrush straightening tool on wet hair (or even damp hair if you have thin hair and are not extremely careful). The quick application of heat on wet hair brings the water within the hair follicle to a quick boil, the bubbles are then pushed out resulting in split ends and cracks in the hair. At the same time, essential vitamins and minerals are forced out which further adds to the problem, reducing the hairs natural elasticity which can lead to further brittleness and breakages. All of these issues can be further compounded if you have any residual product in your hair (especially any products containing alcohol) as these chemicals are boiled into the hair follicle.

Had no problems registering. This is my second ghd styler. My first one is almost 10 years old and still works great. Had to buy a second when my daughter took my first one to college with her. These used to be super pricey back in the day but are very affordable now. Hope they are as durable and well made. Looks almost identical to my old one.
I was worried that because ghd's are so powerful they would make my hair like straw but they have made my hair feel like I have been to the hairdresses everytime I straighten it I am very pleased with them as it has they are so quick and easy to use and heat up in no time. I would suggest them to anyone
GHD went and nabbed itself a 2018 Best of Beauty award with this miracle of a flatiron. The tool maintains a constant temperature of 365 degrees Fahrenheit, but get this: It reads the thickness or thinness of the sections you use so it can adjust the amount of power it exerts. That way, it keeps the same temperature while straightening your hair and gets all the sections evenly straight without you having to worry too much about heat damage. "My hair felt relatively healthy after ironing which I am not used to," says Tracey Zane, director of content development for Allure. "The tool moves much effortlessly across my hair, and actually makes it feel silky smooth once ironing."
Ghd's are a bit of an apple like product to me and I don't usually like being a sheep however my girlfriend wanted these and who was I to argue they get hot very quickly have floating ceramic pads and my girlfriend says leave her hair feeling the best she has ever felt. I'm happy that she is happy and they seem quite well made. It's a shame you don't get any sort of a pouch which wouldn't be too outrageous on a premium product.
Great styler. It doesn't really live up to the hype but the hype was overinflated so let's not blame the product. I was able to register mine with no problems. Other people have covered what the ghd styler can do so I won't go into it. If you're pretty satisfied with your existing hair tools this won't change your life but it's a solid tool and works well.
I was little concerned as some people mentioned getting fakes but this is the real deal. It is so slick that it is almost too slick the hair slide through really quickly.

I have tried other hair straightener and I have always come back to ghd. My last pair was bought in 2006 and it is still going strong only bought these pair because of special discount. Not disappointed but because I have thick and long asian hair I find the wide plate works better for me.
Best iron ever.. Works wonders in just a few strokes and few minutes.

From the time of the Roman Empire[citation needed] until the Middle Ages, most women grew their hair as long as it would naturally grow. It was normally little styled by cutting, as women's hair was tied up on the head and covered on most occasions when outside the home with a snood, kerchief or veil; for an adult woman to wear uncovered and loose hair in the street was often restricted to prostitutes. Braiding and tying the hair was common. In the 16th century, women began to wear their hair in extremely ornate styles, often decorated with pearls, precious stones, ribbons and veils. Women used a technique called "lacing" or "taping," in which cords or ribbons were used to bind the hair around their heads.[14] During this period, most of the hair was braided and hidden under wimples, veils or couvrechefs. In the later half of the 15th century and on into the 16th century a very high hairline on the forehead was considered attractive, and wealthy women frequently plucked out hair at their temples and the napes of their necks, or used depilatory cream to remove it, if it would otherwise be visible at the edges of their hair coverings.[15] Working-class women in this period wore their hair in simple styles.[14]

Best straighteners for my wild hair. Keeps it under control in humid weather conditions. I have used ghd straighteners for at least 10 years and my previous ones died of old age
During the First World War, women around the world started to shift to shorter hairstyles that were easier to manage. In the 1920s women started for the first time to bob, shingle and crop their hair, often covering it with small head-hugging cloche hats. In Korea, the bob was called tanbal.[28] Women began marcelling their hair, creating deep waves in it using heated scissor irons. Durable permanent waving became popular also in this period:[29] it was an expensive, uncomfortable and time-consuming process, in which the hair was put in curlers and inserted into a steam or dry heat machine. During the 1930s women began to wear their hair slightly longer, in pageboys, bobs or waves and curls.[13]
This is the best flat iron ive ever had in my life I have long hair and although its a 1 inch it straightens my hair like nobodys business I love the way it heats up fast and not only that the first time you try it by whatever hair type you have it will adjust the heat for your type of hair and my hair is super thick wavy and frizzy. So yes it works best flat iron and I heard about this flat iron from the best professional hair and make up stylist in the world kandee johnson.
this is an amazing styler I've used regular curling irons for the last couple of decades with my preference being a fatter iron. This is the first time that I've used a flat iron. I had a lot of fun playing with it and was surprised by how well and how quickly it worked. It heated almost instantly sounding a chime when it was ready to use. I sectioned off my hair and used it according to the directions on their website. It felt so slick and smooth as I pulled it down my hair that I wondered if it even made contact. However my hair was warm and perfectly straight so it did the trick it only took a few minutes for my entire head of hair to be stick straight. That's not how I wear it I was just playing. I found directions online for curling with the ghd styler and went to work. It was a little tricky at first because I was using it a way that I never used a curling iron. It didn't take long for me to get the hang of it and soon I had loose waves and curls that looked and felt wonderful. I'm thrilled with it the ghd classic styler that I received is genuine. Based on the comments here I immediately went to the ghd website and registered it and verified that it was the real deal. The only problem I had was reading the tiny date code printed inside the unit. I finally had to take a picture of it with my phone and enlarge it a little so I could make out the numbers.
Great purchase
We don’t know too many people that are using their hair straighteners vertically, but there must be a few since ISA has made a point of clarifying that this model is intended only to be used horizontally, i.e., perpendicular to your hair. According to the manufacturer, using the hair straightener horizontally reduces hair pulling for a more comfortable experience. This may be particularly important to you if your hair tends to knot easily or you have unruly curls and texture.
bought these after hearing so much about ghd and I am glad I did best straighteners I have ever used I bought them of amazon as I was unsure from reading other reviews that they couldn't register there product I had no problem registering with ghd.
Finaly found a hair tool that works for my curly hair. This hot tool makes my hair salon perfect.
Hair care can be hard to shop for. You want to be picking products that are effective enough to achieve your desired results, without having to pay an exorbitant amount to get the job done. When it comes to hot tools, you also want to make sure you'll be using a product that won't cause undue damage to your hair — totally fried tresses are the opposite of chic. And while there's a whole world out there of pricey pro-level straighteners from high-end hair brands, it turns out it's actually possible to score a satisfactory straightening tool for much less.
Excellent product. It works perfect until now at least . My hairs are very difficult to manage and to straighten but with ghd few minutes and they are perfect.
this was a gift for someone that was well worth it. As I have been told repeatedly since.. Unless its ghd its not a proper straightener.
