ghd styler is the best. Had it for years
Hello, ladies! This is Monica, the founder of the MyStraightener blog. In this post, I’m going to tell you about the best flat irons on the market so far and some other hair straighteners. I will also give you some tips and tricks on how to choose the best straightening iron for your hair type. At the end of the post, I’m going to answer the most common questions about using flat irons. Gosh, we have so much to discuss! I hope you have some leisure time =)
I have purchased may flat irons in the past and the ghd is far superior than all others. Heats fast and turns offwithin 30 mins. If not in use. This is soo worth the money. Thanks amazon
The great thing about beauty is that there is something for everyone. Even as the trend these days is skewing towards plenty of texture and heatless styling, the tried-and-true flatiron still has its place. I mean, with social media going crazy over the super-sleek look of glass hair, it's clear that straight hair ain't going anywhere. After all, some of us just want smooth strands from time to time — or, depending on who you are, most of the time. But pressing your hair between two scorching-hot plates can be a recipe for a dried, sizzled, frizzy disaster. Or at least it can be if you're using the wrong flatiron. On the flip side, using a good one can make all the world of difference. And that's where we come in. We've scoured the world of flatirons to bring you the best of the best, at a range of price points. So whether you've got the coins for an affordable Conair or can shell out the big bucks for a Harry Josh, these 20 straighteners will give you that just-back-from-the-salon look — minus the scorch.
The ceramic plate on the FemJolie heats in just a minute or two, and the silicone tips on the bristles are quite comfortable on the scalp and gentle as they detangle, straighten and de-frizz. It’s important to note that this straightening brush is only designed to work on clean, dry hair; you won’t see the results you expect if you use it right after jumping out of the shower, and because it’s a flat brush it won’t add volume to your hair the way a barrel model would.
I love this straightener I have super long thick hair...naturally wavy frizzy. This straightens my hair easily. I used to have a chi but it eventually broke short in the wire...apparently this happens to all chis so I had to buy a new one. I think the ghd works better than the chi
7 21 14 I purchased this flat iron on may 25 2013. I've used this product every day since then with no issues. Also the styler is not a fake and I was able to register it on ghd's website with no problem. I only buy products that are ship and sold from amazon.com only maybe that is why so many people have received fakes I'm not sure. I have course thick hair and this flat iron has been wonderful. The plates are hot but doesn't damage my hair or the ends. I would recommend this flat iron.
“Works great. Various and high-temp settings. Heats up very fast! My daughter and I both use this. I’m also a hairdresser, and this works great on my clients of all hair types. It’s easy to curl with it as well. I love curling with a flat iron. Great size and ceramic is my favorite, as it glides nice and smooth and heats evenly. It has a swivel cord, so it doesn’t tangle. Auto shut-off in case you leave it on. So far, so good.”
In March 2013, ghd launched the "Eclipse" hair straightener, which uses six sensors in the plates to maintain a constant heat of 185 degrees celsius, a temperature ghd claims is the optimum temperature for styling results. The consistent temperature reduces the time to style hair, particularly coarse hair that may previously taken multiple run throughs. The Daily Mail called the Eclipse "The Rolls-Royce of irons".
I have very tightly coiled african american hair. I used the blow dryer with a heat protectant and this iron got my hair bone straight and shiny. Its the holy grail basically in my opinion lol
I just retired my 6 year old chi and initially got a chi replacement but it just did not feel like my old chi. I knew then that I had to look for that perfect flat iron that I've been used to. Well I found it with this ghd classic styler. It heats up fast and takes just one quick swipe to straighten my curly hair. It is an amazing iron without any unnecessary frills. Flat iron does damage the hair so keeping it to a minimum is the best thing to do and don't think that paying extra for temp. Adjustment and other frills will somehow be less damaging. Stick to this basic one and you will be so happy also I did buy this iron from amazon itself and was able to register it without any problems.
I got these after using my sister in law's ghds and realising that my 11 year old babyliss ones were sadly inferior. I love that they heat up really quickly as when you have 3 small boys to get to school pre school every second counts. The results last overnight too with maybe a quick spruce up the following morning. All in all worth every penny
