Absolutely 100 satisfied with my purchase. I love my new flat iron. I had no issues whatsoever registering my flat iron on the ghd website and received a response immediately that my purchase had been validated so I know I this item is authentic.
I have straight fine blonde hair and this straightener helps me get so much more sleekness and volume. It is sturdy and heats up so fast plus I love how it sleeps if you leave it on too long so that it won't burn your house down.
this was a gift for someone that was well worth it. As I have been told repeatedly since.. Unless its ghd its not a proper straightener.
With this CHI original flat iron, you can get not only straight silky hair but also all kinds of curls, flips, and waves. It features 1-inch wide floating ceramic plates and uses far infrared technology to reduce frizz and static electricity. This straightener heats up to 392°F, and you can’t adjust the temperature. So, this is a flat iron for normal or thick hair, not for fine and fragile one. The heat is evenly distributed, and an exceptionally high amount of negative ions are produced. Finally, the design is basic, yet neat and ergonomic.

Just like the other reviewer I am not surprised to see a bad review about ghd. A lot of the ghd irons sold on this website and others are fake reproductions sold as the real thing and even if they were real such as the ones sold on ... The warrantee is not valid because they are not authorized distributors. Luckily for us we can now purchase the ghd styler directly from its official website I guess they finally realized there are too many fake ghd out in the market so stop wasting your money on these fake ghd imitations and get the real deal. Ghd is the best flat iron out there. It is used by the 'real' professionals everywhere in the world not these fake a corner store salons. Even when I traveled to europe most high end salons I visited used ghd. Plus ghd has dual voltage in other words you can take it around the world no problema. By the way if your hair is breaking perhaps you should reconsider how often you flat iron your hair and the types of products that you use. I personally only flat iron it once maybe twice a week 1st upon washing my hair and later on in the week as a touch up .these tools are not meant for everyday use just like with anything else in life too much of a good thing can turn out not to be so good in the end...or something like that... The point is you need to take better care of your hair. I personally like to use the biolage brand. You can also get a good deep conditioner such as baba de caracol or alter ego garlic dominican italian deep conditioners respectively and a good blowdryer such as turbo. I also like chi but they break within 6 12 months so don't waste your money there. To style your hair use chi infusion or moroccan oil 9it's a dry oil not actually oily and there you have it instead of styling your hair everyday wrap it at night and it will be as good as new the next day. Now go to ... To get the real deal. Do not settle for anything less... Ghd is the realest well you get the point

Whether you have particularly curly hair or thick locks, this T3 hair straightener is designed to leave you with a shiny finish in a fraction of the time of other hair straighteners on the market today. Specifically, the T3’s smart SinglePass technology maintains consistent heat throughout the entire plate to straighten all hair types with one glide.
very quick to heat up and they are much hotter than any other styler I have used. Love that they can be used when travelling abroad with dual voltage. Thanks to my sister for recommending this product.

I would never recommend the InStyler to anyone! In fact, I think it’s positively dangerous and can’t believe that it hasn’t really changed since it first came out. It’s incredibly easy to burn yourself with this thing. There’s no protection at all from the hot barrel. Unless you have very thin hair or a personal stylist, this takes a long time to get to its claimed result of wet hair to styled hair. It takes much longer to use this on wet hair than the hot air brushes, like the Revlon you reviewed. The InStyler gets tangled in the hair very easily and is difficult to untangle without burning yourself somewhere. If you mostly dry the hair first, then very neatly section it, then use the InStyler carefully with a heat protective glove, you will eventually get about the same result as with any flat iron.

This is a great styler according to my girlfriend. I purchased this styles on amazon because it was cheaper than through other outlets such as sephora. After reading some comments I was concerned that this may be a knock off brand of the ghd classic styles but was relieved that I could register the product on the ghd website as well as check via the checklist of genuine product traits that someone else nicely posted. I bought this through amazon and deva concepts dropship and recommend you do the same.

Very happy with my purchase always used ghds and after 7 years use from my last pair I decided to get them again. They havent failed me fast arrival great service.
I am a big fan of the ghd irons. I will not buy anything else. I have been a cosmetologist for 7 years and have had my first one since I started working and bought my second one for home 5 years ago. I highly recommend any style of ghd for any type of hair I've never ever had any problem with with either of my irons and use it throughout the day 4 days a week at work. To guarantee a real iron ask your stylist if they're able to get you an iron from their beauty supply distributer.
I am so happy since I bought my ghd. I should have bought it before. It is so easy to work with it love it
In short YES! You absolutely can use too much heat on your hair. Burning hair is not a good smell, it’s not a good look either! You may end up having to get a pretty severe haircut if you’re not careful about the amount of heat you put directly on your locks. Read through this to get an idea of what’s safe and what will leave you wishing for a good trim (or possibly a wig).
Historically, working-class people's haircuts have tended to be practical and simple. Working-class men have often shaved their heads or worn their hair close-cropped, and working-class women have typically pulled their hair up and off their faces in simple styles. However, today, working-class people often have more elaborate and fashion-conscious hairstyles than other social classes. Many working-class Mexican men in American cities wear their hair in styles like the Mongolian (shaved except for a tuft of hair at the nape of the neck) or the rat tail (crewcut on top, tuft at the nape), and African-Americans often wear their hair in complex patterns of box braids and cornrows, fastened with barrettes and beads, and sometimes including shaved sections or bright colour. Sociologists say these styles are an attempt to express individuality and presence in the face of social denigration and invisibility.[47]
I ordered these straighteners as I'd had a pair before that lasted me 7 years it takes only 10 minutes to straighten my long hair and I would highly recommend these to anyone. These straighteners were also fantastic value for ghds which are usually over 100. They were extremely well packaged and arrived in perfect condition I am over the moon
used ghds for years. I wouldn't use any other straightners. Love them.
If you don’t have much time to hang around and read through reviews, you don’t have to. I have a list with best picks as well as a “handy dandy” table that can help you quickly sort through the options I’ve included on my site. When you’re ready, just hit “add to cart” and you can get on with your day. If you fancy that cup of coffee after all, you can click through the different options and get a more detailed picture of any model you’re interested in. No matter how you do it, all the information is designed to be quick and helpful.
Ghd have a big reputation to uphold and they more than maintain it with this wonderful gift set. The presentation box is worth a sentence alone. It's grandiose and gold really looks the part and will absolutely impress anyone who receives this.next onto the core part of the product the hairdryer and tongs. Both are of exceptional quality and you can tell that they are a cut above your usual high street products which might retail at a lower price. There are a good variety of settings on each of the products and these ensure that the products adapt to whatever your hair requires there is no doubt this pricey but in this case price really does equal quality and for that reason I can recommend.
I like soo much I needed a product like this. Really it is the best in the market. The price was the best too
Just had my very long very thick hair cut today and they finished it with this straightener. I'm a big supporter of what isn't broken doesn't need to be replaced but with how well this one worked and how silky smooth my hair feels now compared to my old straightener I am now shopping around to replace it. I'll probably get a 50 model like the hsi instead of this for 140 190 but for those willing to pay this price it works wonderfully and hopefully you love the results as much as I do
For better or worse, we are B-U-S-Y nowadays. Running from meeting to meeting and trying to pick up our kids from carpool before soccer practice, it’s no wonder that we often place ourselves at the bottom of our daily priority list. This mindset typically carries over into our appearances and explains why more women than ever are rocking messy top knots and buns than ever before.

Martin Penny, Gary Douglas, Susan Powls and Robert Powls founded ghd in 2001.[7][8] The three collaborated to buy the rights to a hair straightening iron from a South Korean inventor.[9] The brand quickly took off organically, and the company did not even begin advertising until two years after its launch.[10][11] By then, hair salons and word of mouth carried ghd to £12 million, against a forecast of between £3 million and £4 million.[9]

this is the real deal. I was able to register it on the ghd website with no problems.
worth every penny
The high-density bristles on the professional-style nano comb are designed to prevent curly hair from catching in the teeth. However, that also means straightening your hair can take longer than it does with the Glamsfields or AsaVea, because you may need to make more passes with the brush. Heat-up is fast (60 seconds) and the heat is evenly-distributed thanks to metal ceramic technology. The double-ionic generator works to prevent frizz and split ends.

This hair straightener has diamond-infused titanium plates; making it a perfect choice for anyone who loves luxurious beauty. The plates provide a high shine finish so hair appears radiant and healthy. The advanced ceramic heaters heat up in just 15 seconds and have 3 different temperature settings so you can customise the heat to your hair type. The plates also have a curved edge to them; making them perfect to create loose curls and waves.
The ceramic plates on this hair straightener ensure that hair remains glossy and nourished even through the high-level of heat. A brilliant all-rounder for quick and effortless everyday styling, the ghd IV Hair Straightener can create both smooth locks and curls; making it a great multi-tasking product. Suitable for all hair types and lengths, the styler glides smoothly through the hair in one gentle action so snagging is reduced.
Since 2004, ghd has raised approximately £2.5 million for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.[28] The company produces a limited edition pink hair iron every year, with £10 of the sale price being donated in support the charity.[29] In 2010, ghd partnered with charity "Mom It Forward" and SafeHouse Denver, a women’s shelter that serves victims of domestic violence and their children, in an event at Sephora.[30]
“My daughter loves this straightening iron. As a competitive cheerleader, she finds this tool incredibly handy since it can both straighten her hair and curl it. She says it heats up incredibly fast, which for her is great, given her impatience. It provides nice, slick hair and tames all her frizzies and flyaways. All her girlfriends like to borrow it, too, for their hair.”
Yes I would recommend this to friends my husband bought it for me and I love it works great
great
However, the plates may be too narrow for those with long hair. Also, the heat settings do not indicate temperature so you don’t really know how much heat you’re exposing your hair to. Though, you are aware that the temperature range is 280 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Take note that there’s no automatic shut off feature. But for the price and performance, a lot of people are saying “hell yeah” to this product.
the ghd works wonders on my hair. I have naturally wavy hair that can be difficult to straighten but this product takes care of business. I am definitely hooked definitely worth the money.
I've used these straighter for years and love them. They get so hot and I can do my thick hair in a few minutes. Plus they are salon level so have the extra long cord. However it sounds like you need to buy from the ghd website. I did and it arrived pretty fast about a week I think you know its genuine and the price is the same at 150.
My last ghds lasted me 10 years. The hair straighteners are really good when working however the ones i’ve been sent are faulty you can hear the electricity within the straighteners crackleing sounds like a loose connection so i’m scared to use them. Would be excellent if this wasn’t the case.
Here at the Strategist, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy (like pillows), but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have People’s Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed (that’s four-to-five-star reviews and lots of ‘em) products and single out the most convincing ones. While we’ve written about the best curling irons, hair dryers, and even a certain curling iron used on the Victoria’s Secret Angels before, we’re going deep on the best flat irons and hair straighteners on Amazon. (Note that reviews have been edited for length and clarity.)
For hot air brushes, the same advice goes: always use a heat protectant, select the right temperature for your hair type, pay attention to the speed, intensity, and the barrel size of the curling brush. Ceramic and tourmaline coatings are considered to be the best ones for a hot air brush barrel. The only problem that may occur is that your locks may get stuck in the brush bristles. To avoid this, choose from models with tangle-free anti-static bristles, like this one.
Bought these on the recommendation of nearly every female I know and I haven't been disappointed they arrived promptly well wrapped and I checked them on the official ghd site straight away. I have had sleek straight hair ever since...... They heat up quickly and the flashing light is a great guide to help remind to switch them off. A great price too considering most pairs I've seen are well over 100 quid.
