I just retired my 6 year old chi and initially got a chi replacement but it just did not feel like my old chi. I knew then that I had to look for that perfect flat iron that I've been used to. Well I found it with this ghd classic styler. It heats up fast and takes just one quick swipe to straighten my curly hair. It is an amazing iron without any unnecessary frills. Flat iron does damage the hair so keeping it to a minimum is the best thing to do and don't think that paying extra for temp. Adjustment and other frills will somehow be less damaging. Stick to this basic one and you will be so happy also I did buy this iron from amazon itself and was able to register it without any problems.
If you are looking for faster results, a hair straightening brush is more appropriate – it is a hybrid between a brush and a straightening iron, used best on dried hair and effective even for the most unruly naturally curly hair. You can use the straightening brush on hair that is washed and dried, and obtain the straightening iron results with much easier and intuitive brushing move.
Remember, quality is an important requirement when it comes to getting the best hair straightener for your hair. A poor quality flat iron is not only going to work very well, it could cause damage to your hair that may take a long time to grow back. If you want good styling AND ensure the health of your hair, the best hair straightener is one that doesn’t come cheap.
For those of you who want long, smooth hair, then have a look through our collection of hair straighteners to find the right kit for you. While straighteners of old used to give you straight hair that was dry and brittle, new straighteners feature temperature controls, heat sensors and other technology to keep your hair healthy and happy during and after the heating process.
To give yourself that big hair look, check out our other hair accessories and you’ll find plenty to help you get everything from subtle waves to tumbling ringlets and tight curls. Crimpers can give you a natural looking wave and variable temperature controls and ceramic plates make sure you don’t fry your locks. For more defined curls, you’ll want to grab a curling wand to add bounce and many new curlers come with keratin or Argan oil infused barrels that help to give your hair a glossy look.
4 Out of 5 for ghd am I mad well not quite. These are excellent and certainly professional level instruments. Balanced good weight easy to use except and thoroughly well designed.hairdryer is quiet ish with more than enough power and settings to deal with most types of hair and styles. All in all an absolute delight.straighteners are almost perfect this is where the the small problem lies. First of all the good bits. Solid construction good smooth plates well balanced. Now the issue the settings. I know these are probably are professional and my gripe may be invalid but the heat setting is not high enough. Could be a decision made people who use them all day but for a once a day use I'd have preferred to be able to turn the heat up.
Very happy with the ghd iv styler a replacement for my previous ones that I had for a good few years.money well spent.
Wax on, wax off; we bet that’s the most in-depth thinking you’ve given to wax. Not only is it unclear how or what the stuff is, most companies slap labeling on products even when they’re not technically a wax! Here’s the deal, wax products feel just like the name says; waxy. They will feel spongy and have a thicker grip when you work it between your hands and leaves hair with a natural matte finish that can have a bit of shine. If you’re into edgy hairstyles with exaggerated lines and textured, piecey strands, then wax is ideal. The light shine also makes it perfect for formal styles like pompadours.
I was replacing this with my previous ghd which I got for full price and worked great for years.. Though I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews but couldn't resist because of the price.. I checked the product the minute I got it and went online and found out I got the original..
In the 1800s, American women started wearing their hair up when they became ready to get married. Among the Fulani people of west Africa, unmarried women wear their hair ornamented with small amber beads and coins, while married women wear large amber ornaments. Marriage is signified among the Toposa women of South Sudan by wearing the hair in many small pigtails. Unmarried Hopi women have traditionally worn a "butterfly" hairstyle characterized by a twist or whorl of hair at each side of the face.
I had a set of ghd straighteners a few years back and my daughter always said they were the best she used.this new set is of apparent equal standard containing the straighteners and a heat resistant mat. The real bonus with these is the heat limiting built in setting of 185 degrees which ensures no hair burn. The second bonus is the hot plates being both above and below the hair.great and highly recommended
the best straightener .. She wouldn't go without it.....its a must have in this house and friends have agreed and bought
During the 1920s and 1930s, Japanese women began wearing their hair in a style called mimi-kakushi (literally, "ear hiding"), in which hair was pulled back to cover the ears and tied into a bun at the nape of the neck. Waved or curled hair became increasingly popular for Japanese women throughout this period, and permanent waves, though controversial, were extremely popular. Bobbed hair also became more popular for Japanese women, mainly among actresses and moga, or "cut-hair girls," young Japanese women who followed Westernized fashions and lifestyles in the 1920s.
my daughter is loving having ghd for the first time and am loving it so she stops using mine
The bristles on a hair brush straightener should also be considered. Nylon is best for sensitive scalps or hair that doesn’t become a bird’s nest in the blink of an eye. Some straighteners have bristles tipped with tiny balls made of silicone, rubber or other materials, and they’re a better choice for women whose hair tangles easily because they help “cut through” the tangles without snagging. They’re more comfortable, too.
Product just as described
I really love my ghd flat iron I am a hairstylist and this iron cuts down on my styling time as well the amount of heat that I have to apply to the hair one pass usually does it. My clients are also very happy with how soft and full of body the flat iron leaves their hair. I wish I had purchased this flat iron much sooner
I have thick hair and these are wonderful. They heat up within 15 seconds and give amazing results. Chord is flexible and lengthy in case of any socket problems.
I read several reviews before I ordered and I almost didn't order at all. The price was so good I was really doubtful it would be a true ghd. But it was coming directly from amazon not just fulfilled or a third party so I thought just give it a shot mentally prepared it might be fake. I got it yesterday registered it with ghd with no problems. Used it this morning and it works fabulously. If you order from amazon llc you will not be disappointed but be careful of “fulfilled” or “third party”. Hope this review helps someone questioning the authenticity as I was.
I have spent years and years looking for the ultimate set of straighteners but have always resisted the ghd's because of the price but I finally gave in and ordered a pair this sunday and they arrived today I can assure anyone that these are the real thing the serial number has been authenticated by the official ghd website. As for the results wow my hair has never felt or looked so good and I have fine curly frizzy hair I have even washed the car and guess what no frizz or curls please order them you seriously won't be disappointed
I have used this styler before and absolutely love it I have wavy frizzy hair and it helps tremendously with the friz and it straightens so effortlessly. I had ordered this and they sent me one within 2 days I went to register it online and the code did not work even after mutiple times so I left the seller a feedback message that was not too nice which I do apologize for but they were absolutely fantastic. They sent me a new one in which the code did work so these are genuine ghd stylers. Amazing product and it makes it even more amazing with great customer service. I highly recommend this product and this seller. Thank you
I absolutely love this thing best purchase ever I have dark annoying thick hair I'm asian and so a lion's mane look after hair drying isn't the best after using this ghd I would never turn back to a normal straightener I bought this in feb 2011 and after a year or so bad luck for me the ghd stopped working but without any hassle I sent it back to the manufacturers and they send me out a new one hassle free the 2nd one has had no problems think it may have been a product issue.i highly recommend this

This was the best purchase I am happy with the quality and results. I am sure it will last long.
Very happy with the ghd iv styler a replacement for my previous ones that I had for a good few years.money well spent.
Love it. Works great. Does the job fast. Been using it for a month now and my hair is still healthy not dried out. My stylist used this brand on my hair and he recommended this brand before the others out there. Shipping was fast too got it sooner than I expected.
Upper-class people have always used their hairstyles to signal wealth and status. Wealthy Roman women wore complex hairstyles that needed the labours of several people to maintain them, and rich people have also often chosen hairstyles that restricted or burdened their movement, making it obvious that they did not need to work. Wealthy people's hairstyles used to be at the cutting edge of fashion, setting the styles for the less wealthy. But today, the wealthy are generally observed to wear their hair in conservative styles that date back decades prior.
Since 2004, ghd has raised approximately £2.5 million for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity. The company produces a limited edition pink hair iron every year, with £10 of the sale price being donated in support the charity. In 2010, ghd partnered with charity "Mom It Forward" and SafeHouse Denver, a women’s shelter that serves victims of domestic violence and their children, in an event at Sephora.
This one’s the LBD of all hair straighteners. With 100 percent pure tourmaline ceramic plates, the classic tool will never lose its luster (and neither will your hair). No need to tug or pull, as this tool is made with a small suspension system — the floating plates adjust to compress your hair while styling. And with a fully-rotating swivel power cord, you’ll have all the styling control in your hands.
Very good styler and much cheaper than in the store.always difficult to find good quality not damaging styler with dual voltage.very pleased
If you’ve ever used a CHI hair straightener before, then you’re probably pretty well acquainted with the turn dial temperature control of models’ past. While this dial design made it easy to switch on your hair straightener each morning (even before you have had your morning coffee!), it also made it all too easy to accidentally change the temperature during use.
In 2004, ghd entered the North American market, bringing its total worldwide sales generating £37 million in revenue. The Jemella Group, which owned the ghd brand, was bought by Lloyds Development Capital for £55 million in 2006. It was sold eleven months later to Montagu Private Equity for £160 million. Lion Capital, a British private equity firm, purchased ghd in February 2013 for approximately £300 million.
It’s always good hair day with this
Perukes or periwigs for men were introduced into the English-speaking world with other French styles when Charles II was restored to the throne in 1660, following a lengthy exile in France. These wigs were shoulder-length or longer, imitating the long hair that had become fashionable among men since the 1620s. Their use soon became popular in the English court. The London diarist Samuel Pepys recorded the day in 1665 that a barber had shaved his head and that he tried on his new periwig for the first time, but in a year of plague he was uneasy about wearing it:
I love my ghd's and so does my mad unruly curly hair hoorah for ghd thank you from the bottom of my hair roots
Anyone with naturally curly hair knows that the trick to keeping your curls looking their finest is all about moisture. Whether you’re hoping to sport a straightened style for an evening or two, or just to polish your existing curls, a great hair straightener can help you get the look you’ve always wanted without causing permanent damage to your precious curls! When shopping for the perfect hair straightener for your curly hair, you’ll want to keep the following in mind:
Don't ever consider buying any other brand of hair straighteners. I have very curly hair and these are the only straighteners that actually so the job and I have tried many over the last 15 years.
If you’re a hair straightening novice, you may be a little intimidated during the first few times you use your new flat iron. These feelings are totally normal (after all, you are putting 300+ degrees of heat right near your scalp!), but there is no need to worry. All you have to do is follow these simple steps and you will have the gorgeous, flowing hair you’ve always dreamt of in no time!
You can't beat a real pair of ghds well that's the wifes happy for a bit at least she's over the moon thinks they are the best ever and they make her hair feel nice. What more do you want.
Love my straightener and i’ve had it for about a year now
my first ghd styler. I was super skeptical about the purchase considering the 50 difference on their website. I was able to register it so I'm thrilled to say it's the real deal though I haven't tried it in my hair yet I know what to expect...
This is a great hair straightener. It lets you straighten your hair straighten but curl flip the ends or even curl your hair. I definitely recommend getting a heat pouch so you can put it away in for example a suitcase right after using it but this is an excellent product. I've had it for a while now and friends have had theirs for longer so it lasts too.works in different countries with other voltage e.g. I took it to australia and the beep to let you know that it's hot is awesome.
I love this machine and ordering from this company was easy it arrived promptly very happy camper
The HAI Classic Convertible Flat Iron uses ceramic heating element technology for faster heat up and even heat distribution. This hair straightener features 1 1/4 inch wide blue beveled, floating plates for styling flexibility and optimal glide. The temperature is adjustable from 250 degrees Fahrenheit to 410 degrees Fahrenheit. And we really love the fact that the dial shows you exactly what temperature you’re getting whenever you turn the heat up or down. Negative ions help smoothen your hair strands, leaving them silky and shiny.
I had an older set of ghd's which lasted nearly 10 years. So I replaced them with these. Delivery was quick and the product is great. They heat up really quickly and the design is easier to hold when curling my hair.
