I had gone for years using mediocre flat irons not wanting to bite the bullet and just buy the expensive type. But man am I glad I finally did I've had this ghd for years now and it's never failed me. It heat up in seconds and doesn't fry your hair like other irons can. Would highly recommend spending a little bit more for a stellar product.

Historically, working-class people's haircuts have tended to be practical and simple. Working-class men have often shaved their heads or worn their hair close-cropped, and working-class women have typically pulled their hair up and off their faces in simple styles. However, today, working-class people often have more elaborate and fashion-conscious hairstyles than other social classes. Many working-class Mexican men in American cities wear their hair in styles like the Mongolian (shaved except for a tuft of hair at the nape of the neck) or the rat tail (crewcut on top, tuft at the nape), and African-Americans often wear their hair in complex patterns of box braids and cornrows, fastened with barrettes and beads, and sometimes including shaved sections or bright colour. Sociologists say these styles are an attempt to express individuality and presence in the face of social denigration and invisibility.[47]
Perukes or periwigs for men were introduced into the English-speaking world with other French styles when Charles II was restored to the throne in 1660, following a lengthy exile in France. These wigs were shoulder-length or longer, imitating the long hair that had become fashionable among men since the 1620s. Their use soon became popular in the English court. The London diarist Samuel Pepys recorded the day in 1665 that a barber had shaved his head and that he tried on his new periwig for the first time, but in a year of plague he was uneasy about wearing it:
I have very thick hair this works great. Didn't get the sale price. This is a good deal. I bought mine in 2000 and use it every day. Still working like the day I got it.
Can't fault ghd's
Some people may cover their hair totally or partially for cultural or religious reasons. Notable examples of head covering include women in Islam who wear the hijab, married women in Haredi Judaism who wear the sheitel, married Himba men who cover their hair except when in mourning, Tuareg men who wear a veil, and baptized men and women in Sikhism who wear the dastar.

Eight embedded sensors regulate and evenly distribute the heat on this ceramic iron, minimizing damage and increasing shine and smoothness. With adjustable temperature settings that go as low as 140 degrees (the coolest we've ever seen), it's ideal for anyone with super fine hair, or to smooth out the tiny frizzies around your hairline. Sleek, shiny hair exudes polish and put-togetherness. It's like smooth strands just have a way of making you feel way more on top of your game than you may actually be — especially during the end-of-year rush, filled with work deadlines, holiday events, and everything in between. But before you spend more than you'd like this season on salon blowouts or that expensive flat iron you've been eyeing, know that getting glossy locks is possible without totally blowing your budget. Just snag yourself one of the best cheap straighteners the next time you're stocking up at some of your most-frequented stores.
auto heat so you don’t have to manually set the temp. My previous iron I had to manually set which I found out I was putting way to much heat on my hair. Saw this iron for almost half the price here on amazon. Literally takes seconds to heat up. Just love it
The nano ceramic plates in this straightener deliver far-infrared heat, a gentler alternative in and of itself. As if that weren't enough, there's also a reservoir where you can pour in some of the (included) argan treatment and thermal protectant, creating a conditioning steam that will strengthen and safeguard strands while you straighten. Admittedly an extra step, sure, but one that's well worth it.

I have not used this item nor will I given my hair is only about an inch long however I am sure my wife will use it after she gets it as a christmas present.i only wanted to post this review to say I had a concern that the product might be a knockoff even though it was coming straight from amazon but I registered it with ghd and it is a legit product. I will update the review later when she uses it. Hope this helps other buyers

I just retired my 6 year old chi and initially got a chi replacement but it just did not feel like my old chi. I knew then that I had to look for that perfect flat iron that I've been used to. Well I found it with this ghd classic styler. It heats up fast and takes just one quick swipe to straighten my curly hair. It is an amazing iron without any unnecessary frills. Flat iron does damage the hair so keeping it to a minimum is the best thing to do and don't think that paying extra for temp. Adjustment and other frills will somehow be less damaging. Stick to this basic one and you will be so happy also I did buy this iron from amazon itself and was able to register it without any problems.
Ceramic irons heat up quickly and distribute heat evenly. These irons don’t have cool spots so you can be sure to get an even straightening every single time. These are ideal for those with fine, thin strands. Just be aware that not all flat irons marketed as ‘ceramic’ are pure ceramic. Some only feature a ceramic coating which wears off over time, causing damage to your hair.
I am absolutely in love with this ghd styler I had tried the chi first and returned it right away... This one does what I expected and more it straightens my hair curls it and keeps it healthy it is worth every penny I paid ....
Heats up fast. Does not rip hair or get hair caught in crevices. Works on thick curly middle eastern hair. Works great and quick on wavy hair also
There are all manner of detangling tools available in a wide variety of price ranges. Combs come in all shapes and sizes and all manner of materials including plastics, wood, and horn. Similarly, brushes also come in all sizes and shapes, including various paddle shapes. Most benefit from using some form of a wide tooth comb for detangling. Most physicians advise against sharing hair care instruments like combs and clips, to prevent spreading hair conditions like dandruff and head lice.
The Glamfields straightener, like most of our top-ranked models, releases negative ions to fight frizz while preventing split ends and knotting. Performance, though, sets it apart from the pack. Hair is straightened beautifully and quickly with the unit’s metal ceramic heater requiring just a 40-second warm-up, eliminating a long wait for the brush to reach temperature. And speaking of temperature, there are 12 heat settings ranging from 250° (ideal for brittle hair) to 450° (hot enough to straighten extremely thick or wavy hair).
This product is the real deal very pleased with it. I had it registered on the official site of ghd and its the real deal
"Unite Pro Tools Flat Iron is an easy-to-use, low maintenance iron," says Chris Dylan. Dylan works with Kylie Jenner so finding an easy-to-use tool is a must when you’re helping someone go from a platinum blonde bob to jet black floor length extensions. in a span of a week. This Amazon bestseller has just about everything you’ll need in a hair straightener. The 1-inch plates are high quality ceramic and tourmaline plates for silky smooth results. Literally the best flat iron I have used to date. The heat is always consistent no matter if my hair is wet or dry. I love how it heats up and beeps as soon as its ready in 30 seconds or so. I only have to spend one pass in each section.
repeat purchase. First one died after 5 years. Hopefully this will last that long.
Great quality. Heating amazing. Works very well
great quality fast shipping

I wasn't sure what to expect with this flat iron but it is really amazing. It is ready really quickly less than 20 seconds and straightens styles my hair quickly. The straightening is even seeming to last into a second day. Can't say that about my old one ... Highly recommend as a sidenote it was an authentic ghd I was able to verify register it with ghd with no problems.

as most ceramic ghd's this works extremely well.
Straighteners work because they have flat plates that get hot and touch together on either side of your hair. By doing that, they put heat through your hair follicles, trap in moisture and take out frizz. The plates on a flat iron can be made of several different materials, and they’re good for different uses. The best iron for you varies depending on the type of hair you have, the type of styling you want to do, and the amount of heat your hair needs.

The one I got was real and I've had it for 2 years now I love it

I didn't understand what all the fuss was about with regards to ghd hair straighteners. I really wasn't expecting them to be that different from other brand hair straighteners until I used them for the first time. They were a dream they glide through the hair without pulling or breaking a single strand. They work so fast that straightening my hair in the morning is a really quick job. And the result is sleek glossy hair. I am so happy with this product and would recommend to anyone.
I absolutely love this flat iron I have straight hair always have but this gives me no frizz flat hair. And when I want curls well there you go I have them I researched for a flat iron since I bought one like 5yrs ago and it did nothing for my hair and pulled it too. This one is 100 authentic and I registered it online with ghd also. I'm soo happy my husband got my this well worth the wait also this was bought through amazon if you'd like to know happy styling
Unlike infrared saunas or even other hair straighteners on the market today that emit a blast of infrared heat, this Solano hair straightener was designed to slowly warm your hair similarly to how the sun warms your skin over time when you are exposed to its rays. The result is evenly distributed heat for superior hold without the shock of putting your hair under intense temperatures all at once!

I ordered the ghd iv styler and was abit confused as to which one to order. I am happy with what I chose. It's small light and does the job wonderfully.

I love it I have never straightened my hair more and loved it it also heats up really fast and smooths your hair like nobodys business
It may surprise you what less than $50 can get you when shopping for flat irons at stores like Target, Ulta, Amazon and more, but trust the hundreds of reviews calling these bargain buys the real deal. Especially if you consider using hot tools only when you need an extra level of polish, or to quickly smooth out hair when you're in a pinch, the industry's cheaper picks are more than suitable to your needs — don't bother shelling out a significant portion of your paycheck for a high-priced hot tool that'll go unused more often than not.
this was a gift for someone that was well worth it. As I have been told repeatedly since.. Unless its ghd its not a proper straightener.
