These would be an ideal christmas gift as they are presented in a smart black and gold box with a lovely black padded storage bag and heat resistant mat heatproof guard paddle brush and hair clips.once the straighteners are plugged in they will beep when turned on and then beep again after a couple of seconds when they are ready to use and it is a couple of seconds they heat up so quickly I have never used ghd’s before so all I can say is ‘you get what you pay for ‘. They heat up so quickly and they glide through your hair. There was no pulling and you don’t have to use any resistance or even go over the same piece of hair time and time again.the only negative I can think of is the price they are very expensive and there are a lot of cheaper alternatives.however I think they are definitely worth paying for.
I had gone for years using mediocre flat irons not wanting to bite the bullet and just buy the expensive type. But man am I glad I finally did I've had this ghd for years now and it's never failed me. It heat up in seconds and doesn't fry your hair like other irons can. Would highly recommend spending a little bit more for a stellar product.
Most straighteners will have either ceramic or tourmaline plates, although a few use titanium. Ceramic is the best choice for delicate, fine or color-treated hair because it heats evenly and a bit more slowly than tourmaline or titanium with no hot spots. I was in the market for a new straightener and when I was watching videos and reading reviews of this straightener it seemed like one I would want but I couldn't find it for a really reasonable price. Then I looked at amazon and found it for about 110 that was a great deal. So I bought it and it came really fast. It also came in a really cool box. I haven't been using it very long so far but this straightener has proved to be so much better than my old con air infiniti. Best straightener ever
I have 3a 3b curls so I need a high quality flat iron that won't burn my hair. I used to have a hai then a babylis. Both were very nice. Then I borrowed my friend's ghd on vacation and got spoiled. It got my hair flat and shiny. I was very impressed. When my daughter knocked our babylis over and it stopped working I knew I wanted a ghd to replace it. I watched the price here and when it dipped down low enough I bought it. I am very happy. It doesn't get as hot as my babylis but it still works amazingly. I was worried that the flat iron was a fake so I was really relieved when I was able to register the product on ghd's website. After years of using a cheap flat iron that I bought at cvs I decided that I would invest in a good flat iron. After turning on the flat iron you will hear a beep. You'll hear 2 beeps in about 10 seconds which indicates that the flat iron is ready to use. It warms up so quickly. It makes my hair so shiny and straight. I love it.
In short YES! You absolutely can use too much heat on your hair. Burning hair is not a good smell, it’s not a good look either! You may end up having to get a pretty severe haircut if you’re not careful about the amount of heat you put directly on your locks. Read through this to get an idea of what’s safe and what will leave you wishing for a good trim (or possibly a wig).

Just bought a new ghd straightener. I have an old one 12 years old and ghd is not available in my country so I decided to buy a new one if the older one would die . I have used the old one everyday sometimes 2x a day for 12 years and I absolutely love it. I have been trying the new one and it is a litle bit different seems to weigh a litle bit less and has a sound effect when it is turned on. I feel like the new one is to smooth but that could be because the old one is very old and has a different feel and the plates are more used. But both of them give me very straight hair. I was very skeptical when reading the reviews on amazon....is it fake or not. My conclusion is that this is not fake and the best hair straightener ever. I have long curly frizzy hair and it takes me under 5 minutes to straighten my hair. I have tried many brands over the years and I have to say that ghd is the best of the best.

Hi do you have any views / recommendations on cordless or portable hot air brushes? I just bought a rotating hot air brush and love it as its easy to straighten and defrizz my hair while adding a bit of volume (I use it on slightly damp hair) but it’s just too big to carry. I am looking for an easy to carry hot brush that I can pop in my gym bag to help me finish off styling my hair after I rough dry my hair with the hairdryer at the gym. Thank you.
I confess I am a ghd devotee having bought my first straighteners in 2006. Theyve come a l ong way since this beautiful set of professional irons and a really good hairdryer will make a fantastic gift for anyone who does their hair.packaged in a solid dull gold box which oozes quality and has a really posh air the matching items look so stylish and dont disappont in use. Teh styler has a new hinge shape and different tips this makes for smooth use and less catching in the hair. I was impressed that heat up time is a few seconds and the auto cutoff works too. A far cry from the old days of waiting ages for heat up and then panicking on the train to work thinking I'd left them on the hairdryer really is another level though. It's balanced beautifully and feels light but firm in the hand. It manages to dry my hair without frizzing it all over the place and quickly too. Using these tools makes hair styling actually a pleasure and I love the smooth straight results however much people tell me straight hair is on the way out.

I was worried that because ghd's are so powerful they would make my hair like straw but they have made my hair feel like I have been to the hairdresses everytime I straighten it I am very pleased with them as it has they are so quick and easy to use and heat up in no time.
