Choose from the ghd hair straightener range to complete your kit of styling essentials. From waves and curls, to flicks and poker-straight hair, create a look that's stylish, effortless and professional with our ghd straighteners. The range of ghd hair straighteners will help you to create a multitude of hairstyles, producing shape and movement in each styling session.
For curling, place a section of hair between the plates closest to the scalp, clamp the plates, and turn styler through 180 degrees while holding the end of the strand. Pull styler through the hair slowly, always maintaining the 180 degree turn--it helps to slightly tip the nose of the styler downward, careful not to let the hair fall out. It also helps to pull the strand forward when trying to curl hair at the back of the head.
Like the other core straighteners in the ghd range, the new ghd Gold Professional Styler works wonders for every hair type. The smooth plates and Dual-Zone Technology ensure thick or coarse hair receives enough heat to create a sleek look, whereas the sensors help to regulate heat delivery in thin hair types. You can use your new ghd Gold to create everything from pin straight locks to ghd curls, which require a simple twisting motion for that signature luxe, wavy look.
If you’ve read enough ghd flat iron reviews, then you’ve probably realized the main problem about this ghd flat iron. It’s the fact that it’s so popular that so many people are trying to peddle fake copies. It’s hard to believe that people would try to come up with fake ghd straighteners, but they’re now like Zippo, Louis Vuitton, and other iconic brands. There are so many fakes around!

Top stylists, models and celebrities alike can’t live without their ghds, so you know you’re in good company when you add to your collection. Whether using your ghd styler to tame frizz for a day at your desk, or to curl locks for a night out on the town, ghd not only allows you to straighten your hair, but also twist, curl, flick, wave and bounce too. With ghd, the possibilities are endless.
Inferior hair straighteners take a very long time to heat, and you really need to make sure that they’re on their highest setting to have any effect. But that means getting lots of split ends, and you hair often looks frizzy, dry, and generally unhealthy. And once you go outside, if ever you live in an area that’s a bit humid the straight hair quickly goes to its default pouf settings.
It did get straight and it didn't pull or drag on my hair which was nice, but it took twice as long as it usually does (and lately i've been using a $35 flat iron I got from Amazon!) due to the fact that I had to go over and over it in increasingly smaller sections. I already use thin sections so this was just ridiculous. What annoyed me was that even after all this my hair remained poufy and never really got that shine I usually get. My hair btw, isn't even curly it's more wavy/frizzy/poufy--so I don't require tons of product or anything like that bc straightening my hair has always been an easy no-fuss affair. Usually, it takes like, one pass to get'er done.
For me, the first and still very best of all ceramic stylers [and my dad is a hairdresser too]. It heats up fast, cools down relatively fast, works wonderfully and lasts a long time. In 11 years, I've bought two such stylers. The first one eventually died after 6 years of daily use, rarely skipping a day, while my second one is still going strong. I have no reason to recommend any other styler but this one. My hair is long and very fine.
* * * Update: After returning the above-described item, I bought a ghd Classic Styler in-person from one of their authorized salon dealers (info at ghd's site). When I went to register the hologram and date codes, the ghd site accepted them on the first try. Also, the second unit I bought HAD country-of-manufacture information on the box and on the date sticker (made in China, which some other comments said isn't legit, that seems to be wrong). My unit labeled made-in-China is the one that registered successfully with ghd. Also my second purchase - from the authorized dealer - had a lot of information printed on the bottom of the box, including a bar code, web info, consumer information phone number, design info and information about the product. The unit I purchased from Amazon had NO printing on the bottom of the otherwise authentic-looking box. Draw your own conclusions. Bottom-line: if you buy a ghd styler here, double and triple-check that your unit is for real.

ghd will always be one of our top picks when it comes to straighteners and stylers. This brand have been around for almost two decades, and have easily established themselves as a go-to for celebrities and professionals. As if you weren’t already spoiled for choice, we’re excited to announce the release of the new ghd Gold, a professional-quality straightener with all of the bells and whistles you want from your day-to-day heated tool.
I worked in the hair industry for a while so I've used a lot of high end flat irons and I got to say, this one did not impress me at all. I'd never used a GHD before this btw (none of the stylists I know have one) but I ended up ordering the GHD classic styler--which btw seems to be the same as the "IV styler"--instead of the CHI Turbo due to the fact that at the time, the GHD was on sale and basically the same price yet it offered more versatility (the turbo has a velvet cover so you can't use it to curl).

Like all ghds, the IV heats to 185 degrees, which is perfect for creating a poker straight finish, glamorous curls or beachy waves. The floating aluminium plates make the styler easier to hold and control, while also ensuring those tell-tale dents in the hair are a thing of the past. Other features of the IV Styler include a 2.7 metre cable, an automatic shut down after 30 minutes, and universal voltage.
The great thing about the GHD Classic 1-inch Styler is that it’s so simple to use and it simply works as advertised. You receive a truly helpful instruction manual, and there’s a DVD too to illustrate how you can use the GHD Classic 1-inch Styler correctly. In other words, you will get hair that looks healthy, silky and shiny, and these will be very noticeable—even to notoriously non-observant husbands and boyfriends.
Our popular Gold Series consists of three V stylers of various sizes: the mini, classic and max. People often suggest that you choose a styler based on the length of your hair; however a better thing to consider is what results you would like from your styler. For example, V Gold Max Styler isn’t just for long hair – it’s also ideal for creating natural results on shorter styles too.
Bought these on recommendation of my hairdresser to deal with my chemo damaged hair. Thankfully I didn't lose my hair but it did go really thin during treatment. 18 months on from treatment my once fine, straight and easily managed hair has come back in thick with random curly and wavy bits. My old straighteners which had served me well over the years were snagging, pulling and breaking both the damaged and newly growing hair but these ones glide through the hair with hardly any breakage. Improved Ergonomics: If you compare the new ghd Gold to the now-dated V Gold Styler, you’ll notice one of the biggest improvements lies in its look and feel. The modern design means this product will look gorgeous sitting atop your bathroom counter, and the rounded barrel assists with preventing snags and speeding up your styling time. The swivel cord has also been upgraded to enhance your overall experience, letting you worry more about how your hair looks and less about twisting and turning to find the right angle (we’ve all done it).

So the real question isn’t about whether people think that the GHD Classic 1-inch Styler is great. There’s virtually a universal consensus that it is. The question is about the reputation of the seller from which you are contemplating buying the GHD Classic 1-inch Styler. There are actually legitimate sellers who offer significant discounts, but they’re not easy to find.

To have straight hair, you just mist your hair with the GHD thermal protector. You then start at the part of the hair that’s closest to the roots, and then you glide the GHD Classic 1-inch Styler to the tips in one smooth stroke. You can also follow the easy directions for soft movement and for curls, which involve some turning while you glide from root to end.
This ghd Gold Classic Styler shines bright with a luxe, sleek design that gives a professional finish. The luxurious plates smooth your hair for an ultra-shiny result, with contoured edges that help to create perfect curls and waves. The innovative golden plates have a high-gloss finish to glide through hair effortlessly, giving you a salon perfect finish every time. The ghd Gold Classic Styler stay cooler to touch for longer and are lighter to handle, and the universal voltage ensures same styling performance wherever you are in the world.
My very first GHD styler. I purchased this before cosmetology school and it worked for my extremely coarse hair. I used it quite often on myself and when I enrolled I used my GHD on my clients and it’s honestly top quality for a brand that’s accessible to at home use. I found this flatiron more consistent than the professional irons in my cosmetology kit.
Dual-Zone Technology: You will have heard of Tri-Zone Technology if you own a ghd Platinum Styler, so think of Dual-Zone Technology as its little sister. Instead of three heated regions, this styler features two, one towards the tip of the styler and another closer to the base. This essentially means the straightener has better control over the way it heats your hair, instead of over-delivering in one area and lacking in another. Think quicker styling and a more uniform look in terms of sleekness and smoothness.
The ghd Gold Professional Styler is a levelled-up version of the existing ghd V Gold Styler, which is being phased out and replaced with the new model. Designed to deliver professional results at an affordable price point, this stunning styler has been proven to deliver amazing results. Think sleeker, smoother hair that appears optimally healthy and downright gorgeous.

This overpriced iron is good if you have naturally fine, soft or wavy hair. If you have coarse, thick hair it will not do the job, or it will take you several passes. This is not unique to the GHD, this applies to ALL CERAMIC straighteners. The Auto shut off and dual voltage is awesome, but it is not worth it if the iron does not provide sleek, durable straight hair. If you have kinky, unruly, poofy hair go with TItanium, hand down!!
If you’re interested in the popular V Styler, then you’re not restricted to the Gold Series. The V Styler is regularly re-released in a variety of limited edition styles. Below are the ghd limited edition V Stylers currently stocked in Regis (subject to availability):

Upon learning about the new ghd Gold, one question quickly came to mind when the intrigue settled down — how does the new product stack up against ghd’s other models? If you’re a longtime fan of the brand, you will have seen numerous stylers hit the market to rave reviews, so it can get a little confusing when it comes down to making that big choice.
This straightener heats up in such a short period of time, the beeping is helpful to know when it’s ready for use. It reaches an adequate temperature, no fuss or changing settings. It takes me approximately 20 minutes to straighten my hair completely, and I have naturally frizzy, curly hair. The health of my hair has not been affected by the straightener whatsoever. Highly recommended and wouldn’t use any other brand.

The GHD Classic Styler uses ceramic materials for its plates. With Ceramic plates for heaters, you’re sure to get shinier and smoother hair thanks to the device’s smooth and static free feature. The device is equipped with its own microprocessor to regulate faster heat conduction while its thermal fuse safety feature keeps the flat iron from overheating rapidly. To protect your hands from its hot grip, the GHD Styler is equipped with an outer case that regulates body heat.
I have used ghd straighteners for the last three years and when they broke, I was devastated especially as it was a bank holiday weekend! No other straighteners were ever able to smooth my hair like ghds so I ordered another pair! After having 3 days of frizzy uncontrollable hair, I was delighted to have my hair back in smooth and beautiful condition, within minutes! I never dreamed I would become so dependent on my ghds but I wouldn't be without them now. Thank you so much for a prompt service!
