I have tried other hair straightener and I have always come back to ghd. My last pair was bought in 2006 and it is still going strong only bought these pair because of special discount. Not disappointed but because I have thick and long asian hair I find the wide plate works better for me.
These are my 2nd pair of ghd s and I wouldn t buy anything else. They are definately the best. They don t pull on your hair like some cheaper straighteners and they heat up really quick. They last for years my first pair which are still working fine were bought in 2008 10 10
We love the fact that the ceramic heater ensures the iron heats up super fast. Even better, you can be sure that you’ve got all that unruly hair under control in 10 minutes or less (expertise required, of course). While there’s a lot to love about the BabylissPRO, it doesn’t have an automatic shut off feature. It also is a bit heavy and bulky. And the price isn’t anything to sniff at either.
used ghds for years. I wouldn't use any other straightners. Love them.
Fine or thinning hair can easily become damaged under too much heat, so cooler temperatures (i.e., those under 300° F) are ideal for these hair types. If you have very curly, course, or thick hair, then higher temperatures upwards of 400° F may be more suitable to your needs. With the ISA Professional Titanium Flat Iron, you can cool it down to 265° F if need be and also crank it up to a whopping 450° F for textured styled.
love love love I cant say enough good things about this product. I bought this as a replacement for one that was given to me 9 years ago. I plan to have this one for another 9 years such a high quality item
I am a big fan of the ghd irons. I will not buy anything else. I have been a cosmetologist for 7 years and have had my first one since I started working and bought my second one for home 5 years ago. I highly recommend any style of ghd for any type of hair I've never ever had any problem with with either of my irons and use it throughout the day 4 days a week at work. To guarantee a real iron ask your stylist if they're able to get you an iron from their beauty supply distributer.

The plates in this techy tool house an internal microchip that constantly measures and maintains an even temperature. With no random hot or cold spots, you'll get smoother, straighter, strands in fewer passes. (Spoiler alert: Fewer passes equal less damage). Adjustable temperature settings — from 260 to 410 degrees — make this ideal for any and every hair texture.

Derek Yuen, the man responsible for Cole Sprouse's grown-up new look, recommends the GHD Platinum Professional Performance iron. The flat iron is consistently and evenly heated at 365 degrees, which is safer and less damaging on the strands. “The beveled edges also allow for infinite styling possibilities, not just just for straightening hair,” says Yeun.
In the 1800s, American women started wearing their hair up when they became ready to get married. Among the Fulani people of west Africa, unmarried women wear their hair ornamented with small amber beads and coins, while married women wear large amber ornaments. Marriage is signified among the Toposa women of South Sudan by wearing the hair in many small pigtails. Unmarried Hopi women have traditionally worn a "butterfly" hairstyle characterized by a twist or whorl of hair at each side of the face.[42]

these ghd's come in a nice gift box that looks great. The set also includes a paddle brush and two hair styling clips. Also included is a case with combined heat mat. They heat up quickly and make short work of straightening my fine long hair. The paddles are quite small and narrow in comparison to other straighteners so may take longer to use through thick or curly hair. I was pleased with the results and the smoothness lasted for several hours. The only issue I have is that the straighteners only just about fit in the case and I couldn't also squeeze in the brush and clips so not as compact for travelling.
For normal to medium thick hair, the ideal temperature is somewhere between 300 to 350 Fahrenheit. If the length is below the shoulder, experts recommend the heat setting 360 to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. If you can, choose a model that has a digital panel. This allows you to see exactly how much heat the hair straightener is pressing onto your hair at any given time.
this edition of ghd has luxury christmas present written all over it plus points impressive packaging that is eye catching made of heavy cardboard and signalling a luxury product.quilted case with mirrored blue button and separator for the straighteners and it’s flex to be kept separately.quality heat may that is detachable from the case.beautifully designed straighteners in the same electric blue as the packaging with a silicone heat shield at the end.safety features cut off after 30 mins and a noise alerts you to them being plugged in being switched on or being switched off.the switch is inside the straightener so that you don’t accidentally turn it off as you are straightening your hair.plates glide through hair creating straightness without effort and as they are at the optimum 185 degrees without that crimped look at the top where you first inserted the plates.improvements that would’ve made it a 5 I needed a slightly longer flex maybe another 1 2 metre.i miss the option to choose the temperature that I had on my old straighteners. I appreciate their advice about 185 degrees being the setting that works best but I have very fine hair which is also frizzy and like to have a choice so that I can accommodate what my hair is up to that day.
Bought these and have validated with ghd and they are authentic. My last pair of the same model lasted 13 years I travel internationally a couple of times each year and it is so easy to just plug into an adapter for the same power abroad.
Ordered on sat 17th dec at 3pm and selected free delivery to be delivered by sat 24th dec. They arrived before 11am on sun 18th dec well done amazon especially at christmas I bought these as a replacement for the same ghds that I have had for over 3 years. For anyone unsure about buying these I promise you you won't find a better hair straightener. My hair is like ringlets and they make my hair go dead straight would not hesitate to recommend these at all.
Let’s face it: styling your hair is a 360° job. That’s why the folks at Cloud Nine have designed their Original Flat Iron with a swivelling 360° cord! No more tangled messes or twisted cords, with this hair straightener you can easily reach delicate fly-aways and seemingly invisible back sections without the hassle of a tangled or knotted cord ever again. When it comes to hair straighteners, the Cloud Nine Original Flat Iron really proves that perfection is in the details!
it was real it registered and everything my wife loves it
Most straighteners will have either ceramic or tourmaline plates, although a few use titanium. Ceramic is the best choice for delicate, fine or color-treated hair because it heats evenly and a bit more slowly than tourmaline or titanium with no hot spots. Tourmaline and titanium, by contrast, heat up extremely quickly and can easily damage thin or sensitive hair before you’re even aware that it’s happened. For thick hair, though, tourmaline or titanium are the way to go; tourmaline has the added benefit of producing 20x more negative ions, making hair moist and silky and reducing frizz.
You may as well wear a sign that says “SLIPPERY WHEN WET” when styling with what’s affectionately called “hair grease.” Pomades give the appearance of high shine with a wet, “freshly-showered” look. This product is used for classic comb overs to slicked back, red-carpet looks. Traditionally pomades have been oil based and difficult to wash out, but over at Hanz de Fuko, we’ve fixed that problem...
This straightener is amazing. Although it only has one heat setting it heats up immediately and gets the job done. It doesn't feel like it's frying my hair. I love it.
At most times in most cultures, men have worn their hair in styles that are different from women's. American sociologist Rose Weitz once wrote that the most widespread cultural rule about hair is that women's hair must differ from men's hair.[38] An exception is the men and women living in the Orinoco-Amazon Basin, where traditionally both genders have worn their hair cut into a bowl shape. In Western countries in the 1960s, both young men and young women wore their hair long and natural, and since then it has become more common for men to grow their hair.[39] During most periods in human history when men and women wore similar hairstyles, as in the 1920s and 1960s, it has generated significant social concern and approbation.[40]

nice product nice enough for my daughter to order it and have me ship it to china where she is attending school for 6 months said she couldn't live without it and didn't want another brand that would burn her hair. Fast delivery as far as I know no problems.
Great straighteners. I only use ghds
My hair is naturally wavy so most of the time I let it air dry and I walk around looking like I am wearing a nest on my head. Straightening my hair goes a long way in avoiding that look. The straightener that I usually use is manufactured by a popular company starts with an r and cost a mere 22. I think that the differences between this more expensive brand and the one I usually use are insignificant. This styler heats quickly. So does the cheaper model. This styler straightens hair adequately. So does the cheaper model. The only differences are that the ghd classic 1 inch styler has a longer cord with a built in gfci device and remote test reset unit and is about an inch and a half longer which puts your hand further from the heat. In summary this model and brand of hair straightener heats up and straightens no better than a much cheaper model but does seem safer from an electrical heat standpoint. Except maybe for professionals I'm not sure that the significant cost difference over 100 is worth the additional safety features.

does exactly what it is supposed to and is a ghd. The registration worked fine although the registration numbers were not on the cord as ghd site suggests. They are actually on the label inside of the iron by the power switch and hard to read. My daughter tried one of these while in the uk and had to have one. Hopefully it lasts as they are spendy. Best price here on amazon.
The one I got was real and I've had it for 2 years now I love it
Using interviews with specialists, online reviews and personal experience, TODAY editors, writers and experts take care to recommend items we really like and hope you’ll enjoy! TODAY does have affiliate relationships with various online retailers. So, while every product is independently selected, if you buy something through our links, we may get a small share of the revenue.
Any hair texture can benefit from this iron — wavy, curly, coiled, you name it. The black titanium plates fight frizzies and strengthen hair at the same time (even though you're still clamping it between fiery hot metal plates) thanks to their infrared heat technology. Feel free to take yours anywhere in the world, as it’s made with a dual voltage that’s perfect for travel.
So let me clear up some of the mixed reviews. When you click on the link to this straightener the ghd classic styler the item is sold by different sellers. So someone who buys today may not buy from the same place that had the straightener yesterday. Which explains why some have received fakes. Click on the seller read the reviews about them do your research.however with that being said I purchased mine from salon logistix my ghd was authentic and I was able register it with the ghd site. I straightened my hair 30 minutes ago with it and am so happy with my purchase. I have natural caucasian hair but my waves are deep and usually take a couple passes to go away. This straightener ironed them out in about 2 passes. It heats up in seconds makes little beeps when turned on and hot and never snagged my hair huge problem with my chi . I would definitely recommend this straightener I previously paid 250 for a t3 mane tamer this ghd does just as well and for less than half the price
bought one of these 8 years ago and it finally started going out so I ordered another one for my wife. Well worth the money in my opinion.
this one doesn’t get as hot as the one I got at a beauty supply
I gave it to my daughter in law for christmas and she absolutely loves it that made me feel good.
I love this styler. Use it daily it heats up literally in seconds straightens my super thick frizzy hair very fast and as of yet has not caused noticeable damage. I absolutely think it's worth the money. Also I was able to register my product it was a genuine ghd.

auto heat so you don’t have to manually set the temp. My previous iron I had to manually set which I found out I was putting way to much heat on my hair. Saw this iron for almost half the price here on amazon. Literally takes seconds to heat up. Just love it
After reading reviews of imitation stylets I was still tempted because of the price. They registered online with no problem and are very effective. I had some ghds before which gave up and it was a false economy in purchasing an alternative brand before these. My non ghds are now designated to my emergency overnight bag and remain in the car.
This original hair hero uses ceramic heat technology to style at the optimum styling temperature, for perfect results every time. Simple, effective, iconic. A rounded barrel and floating plates makes this original ghd styler glide easily through hair, creating beautiful styles that will be the envy of your friends. Plus, with automatic sleep mode and universal voltage you'll have peace of mind to create great results at home or abroad.US two pin plug
The Revlon Perfect Heat works best on partially dry hair. Hot air blows from inside the brush while the soft bristles spin to take the curl out of your hair. Alternatively, you can leave the ends of your hair curly while straightening the rest. You can also turn off the spin function if desired. The added benefit of a unit that has hot air blown from the inside is that you don’t have to wait for the straightener to heat up.

In 2001, ghd revolutionised the way women styled their hair with the launch of its first styler – a professional tool designed for salon use that could also be easily used at home. ghd has continued to be a leader and innovator in hair styling with its range of professional brushes, ghd Style styling products and the launch of its first hairdryer, ghd air™.
Absolutely love these worth every single penny and more my hair is completely unruly and thick and it only took me 10 minutes to straighten. The best pair i’ve ever had
Used backstage at Miss Universe, this styling iron comes with plenty of smart features. It has an extended plate length of four inches, perfect for those with longer hair. Plus, these plates include layered silicone underneath, providing shock absorption for added durability. The touchscreen control allows for easy temperature changes, and it automatically locks while you're styling, so there’s no such thing as hitting a wrong button.
You are definitely paying for quality.have been using ghds since 2006 older models and have never looked back. Quality is superb and definitely delivers great results.can easily last 10 years
Great product. Quick shipping.
received this order without any delays..item was totally as expected. I got a great deal wouldn't hesitate to buy here again.
absolutely love this styler. I have extremely thick hair and have so many issues with my previous chi pulling my hair out. The ghd does not pull at all. Not only does it heat up super quick but it gives me a perfect do in no time a must buy
Another excellent budget hot air styler is the Remington Style and Curl Air Styler and with 9 customer reviews giving 4.7 out of 5 stars I would recommend this product.  This is a great on the go styler because it is lightweight so easy to pack away.  It has two attachments so is suitable for medium length and shorter hair (25mm brush and 19mm brush) and has two heat and speed settings so you can set your curls and fast dry hair prior to styling.  The Remington Style and Curl is good for flicks, curls and adding volume, giving a glossy, lustrous finish.  Reviewers like the fact that it can be used on damp as well as dry hair and all say that it works a dream.

This styler really works I can curl or straighten with it and the style holds all day without hairspray.

The 9-foot power cord means you never have to worry how far away the outlet is from where you’ll be styling your hair. It is more expensive than some of our other picks but it’s not as expensive as the BabylissPRO. However, it doesn’t have an automatic shut off feature and the temperature range only reaches 410 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, there have been reports from users that their HAI Classic only lasted a year or two.
better than my old paul mitchell.
I read a lot about fake stylers but I have no complaints at all. It arrived on time and with the series number that I was able to register at ghd.com. Works perfectly and stops heating if untouched for some time which helps if you accidentally forget to switch it off.
