7 21 14 I purchased this flat iron on may 25 2013. I've used this product every day since then with no issues. Also the styler is not a fake and I was able to register it on ghd's website with no problem. I only buy products that are ship and sold from amazon.com only maybe that is why so many people have received fakes I'm not sure. I have course thick hair and this flat iron has been wonderful. The plates are hot but doesn't damage my hair or the ends. I would recommend this flat iron.
You are definitely paying for quality.have been using ghds since 2006 older models and have never looked back. Quality is superb and definitely delivers great results.can easily last 10 years
being a bald old feller its reasonably obvious that I ordered these for my wife who over the years has become something of an expert on hair styling equipment and has been the guinea pig for this product so her thoughts on this styler....her immediate reaction was ghd they are the best make ever secondly it is a lovely looking styler and is beautifully boxed with a heat resistant protective plate guard for the blade ends and a heat resistant travel bag.my wife was truly amazed at the short heat up time the advertising says 25 seconds she says that it is almost immediate in use there are no problems though she did say that perhaps the plates could be larger otherwise no issues.so to the real nitty gritty....my question was... Would you buy this styler her reply.. No its far too expensive and even though it heats up really quickly basically its no better than cheaper stylers

I love this product I have curly wavy medium thick hair and it makes my hair feel silky and smooth. The iron heats up really quickly and easy to use. This product came in brand new as if I had just bought it from the store myself love it.

The plate is the part of the hair straightener that heats up and used to press your hair. Now, hair straighteners come in different plate materials and sizes. Most plates have a width of 1 inch which work for most people and that’s perfectly fine. However, to really get the most out of your flat iron, you’ll need to consider your hair and styling needs when deciding plate size.

Just like the other reviewer I am not surprised to see a bad review about ghd. A lot of the ghd irons sold on this website and others are fake reproductions sold as the real thing and even if they were real such as the ones sold on ... The warrantee is not valid because they are not authorized distributors. Luckily for us we can now purchase the ghd styler directly from its official website I guess they finally realized there are too many fake ghd out in the market so stop wasting your money on these fake ghd imitations and get the real deal. Ghd is the best flat iron out there. It is used by the 'real' professionals everywhere in the world not these fake a corner store salons. Even when I traveled to europe most high end salons I visited used ghd. Plus ghd has dual voltage in other words you can take it around the world no problema. By the way if your hair is breaking perhaps you should reconsider how often you flat iron your hair and the types of products that you use. I personally only flat iron it once maybe twice a week 1st upon washing my hair and later on in the week as a touch up .these tools are not meant for everyday use just like with anything else in life too much of a good thing can turn out not to be so good in the end...or something like that... The point is you need to take better care of your hair. I personally like to use the biolage brand. You can also get a good deep conditioner such as baba de caracol or alter ego garlic dominican italian deep conditioners respectively and a good blowdryer such as turbo. I also like chi but they break within 6 12 months so don't waste your money there. To style your hair use chi infusion or moroccan oil 9it's a dry oil not actually oily and there you have it instead of styling your hair everyday wrap it at night and it will be as good as new the next day. Now go to ... To get the real deal. Do not settle for anything less... Ghd is the realest well you get the point
High quality reasonable price and quick arrival. What do you want more thank you so much it was a pleasure dealing with you
This flat iron features 1-inch wide ceramic plates with titanium coating, and I love its slick and neat purple design. The Remington straightener heats up in about 30 seconds, and it has 6 heat settings from 310°F to 410°F, so this flat iron works pretty well even for African-American hair. The digital controls with LCD screen make it easy to adjust the right temperature for your hair type. The only thing is, the buttons are on the side, so you may accidentally push them while using the device.

this one doesn’t get as hot as the one I got at a beauty supply
“I’m a licensed hairdresser and I’ve used many hair straighteners, including Chi and Paul Mitchell. They work, but my hair is so thick that it takes me at least 30 to 40 minutes to properly smooth my hair. This is the absolute best hair straightener I have ever used. It straightened my hair in ten minutes (no joke). I’m extremely pleased and shocked. Looking to purchase a second one to have on hand for the future.”

If you lived through this particular time in our world history, then you probably remember the super straight hairstyles that we all sported a time or two (bonus points if you took a photo of yourself like this in your bathroom mirror using a digital camera!). For reasons we may never know for certain, sharp and straight hair was the hairstyle of choice back in the early 2000’s giving the good old hair straightener somewhat of a bad reputation.
If your hair is plagued by tangles and knots on a regular basis (even in between straightening!), try switching your hairbrush out for a wide-toothed comb! The added space in between the teeth gently separately knots and tangles without the painful “Ouch!” with each stroke. If that still isn’t enough to tame your stubborn tresses, try a wet brush! These brushes are specially designed to work through knotted, wet hair without any tugging or pulling.
my daughter is loving having ghd for the first time and am loving it so she stops using mine

During this period, Western men began to wear their hair in ways popularized by movie stars such as Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. and Rudolph Valentino. Men wore their hair short, and either parted on the side or in the middle, or combed straight back, and used pomade, creams and tonics to keep their hair in place. At the beginning of the Second World War and for some time afterwards, men's haircuts grew shorter, mimicking the military crewcut.[30]

I love this straighter its the mercedes of all straighteners. It gets hot really quickly and doesn't burn my hair. The seller is great. The shipping was quick and painless I'm very pleased
Though it looks high tech with an LCD screen, this budget-friendly straightener has impressed Amazon reviewers everywhere. "I have very thick curly/wavy hair and in a matter of 45 minutes my hair was the straightest I’ve ever been able to get it by doing my hair on my own," wrote one reviewer from Florida, who said her straight hair managed to endure the state's humid climate.
amazing
received this order without any delays..item was totally as expected. I got a great deal wouldn't hesitate to buy here again.
The male wig was pioneered by King Louis XIII of France (1601–1643) in 1624. Perukes or periwigs for men were introduced into the English-speaking world with other French styles in 1660. Late 17th-century wigs were very long and wavy, but became shorter in the mid-18th century, by which time they were normally white. Short hair for fashionable men was a product of the Neoclassical movement. In the early 19th century the male beard, and also moustaches and sideburns, made a strong reappearance. From the 16th to the 19th century, European women's hair became more visible while their hair coverings grew smaller. In the middle of the 18th century the pouf style developed. During the First World War, women around the world started to shift to shorter hairstyles that were easier to manage. In the early 1950s women's hair was generally curled and worn in a variety of styles and lengths. In the 1960s, many women began to wear their hair in short modern cuts such as the pixie cut, while in the 1970s, hair tended to be longer and looser. In both the 1960s and 1970s many men and women wore their hair very long and straight.[2] In the 1980s, women pulled back their hair with scrunchies. During the 1980s, punk hairstyles were adopted by many people.

best service and great price.
ghd is huge in australia the creme dela creme of hair straighteners. It is not as big yet in america which I found strange but I think its because of all the other brands that were so good that are now not so good.i have moved to america for a year and my australian ghd does not work here wattage difference or something it doesnt heat up . So I just wanted a cheaper but still good straightener for the year or even one that I could take home and still use I've read america to aus is fine but not the other way . I have had my australian ghd for almost 5 years now and it works as good as the day I bought it. 5 Years I looked at chi hsi babyliss all the straighteners on amazon and other websites. I was scared of all the horrible reviews each of these brands got that they stopped working after a certain time that they were fake the ceramic plates started to chip etc. There were plenty of good reviews too but the bad reviews scared me. I am usually an unlucky one with products turning crappy. I know I'm only here for a year but I dont want a crappy straightener. I want one that makes my hair look and feel fabulous and that I can use to straighten and create awesome curls. Thats why I decided to buy another ghd. They honestly are amazing and I think they will just be so huge in a year or two unless the other brands pick up their act they are worth the price cheaper than in aus and they last forever. Ghd have a authentication tool on their website to make sure you got a real legit straightener. They have lots of videos and how to's as well which is great for those who have no idea what they are doing which is what I started off as.my australian hairdresser first recommended ghd to me and now my american hairdresser also recommended it to me as it is what she uses in the salon and at home she also happens to be a friend so I trust her . The brand truly is the best and will make your hair feel fabulous.i have long almost to my elbows thin fine coloured and highlighted damaged hair. The ghd doesnt damage my hair any further than I already do at all. I use their products to style and eufora shampoo and conditioner. I believe that the products you use including shampoo and conditioner really impact a the way you hair looks and feels after being styled and b the way the straightener works and reacts to your hair.cons expensiveno heat controlpros it makes my hair look silky and stylishno frizz whatsoevermy hair looks so healthy after I straighten with the ghd rather than all broken with flyaways like cheaper straightenersit lasts forever its so easy and quick to usedoesnt kink or burn my hairthe plates are rounded making it super easy to curl even for a novice like mei can straighten my hair perfectly in less than 15 minutes.it automatically switches off within thirty minutes if it remains unattendedi can curl my hair in about 20 25 minutes I'm not very good at it temperature is automatically controlled so the heat distributes evenly on the surface of my hair.its lightweightheats up super fastit doesnt make my hair feel greasy and oily and I can leave it for a couple of days without retouching.i honestly believe that once you get a ghd you will never happily go back to another brand. They are amazing and worth every penny. You wont regret it.please note I purchased my ghd from folica.com amazon is cheaper but I was weary of the possibility of a fake one. There are so many different ones on amazon it confused me so I just jumped on over to folica.com and got 20 off it was more expensive than amazon but definitely cheaper than home or shops here. I have just purchased crappy fake products online not amazon before and was more confident in folica.com this time round.
love it
My hair stylists have always used ghd straighteners on my hair and I finally broke down and bought one after using other cheaper straighteners. I have very curly hair and the ghd gets my hair silky straight with no frizz it does get a little bit of wave to it after about an hour but that may just be the humidity and heat reacting with my hair. As soon as I go back over it with the ghd it is perfectly straight again. It is authentic with the hologram sticker circuit breaker plug and ghd product registration. A great deal on a great straightener
Love it
“My daughter loves this straightening iron. As a competitive cheerleader, she finds this tool incredibly handy since it can both straighten her hair and curl it. She says it heats up incredibly fast, which for her is great, given her impatience. It provides nice, slick hair and tames all her frizzies and flyaways. All her girlfriends like to borrow it, too, for their hair.”
I have been looking to replace my chi flat iron for some time as it seems to really damage my fine hair. My stylist used the ghd but I figured no way was I gonna pay the high price. So I searched online and found this deal. I was worried it might be a knock off not authentic. However the box came sealed with registration information with the company. It is the real deal and I registered it for the warranty. It works so much better than the chi only requiring 1 or 2 swipes through my hair to create the look. It heats up fast too which I appreciate when I am in a rush. Don't delay this is the best price you will find for this product and you won't regret it
I was able to register my straightener online at ghd...i hope my sister likes this just as much as I do.

I have curly hair and so it always took me much longer to straighten my hair. I saw my sister had this straightner and so I tried using hers and it took me about 10 min to get my hair totally straight anyways my other straightner had broke so I bought this one and it's really really good. Would very much recommend
Love love my ghd I ordered this to replace my last ghd that had lasted me 7 years I love the quality and way it styles my hair.
Love this straightener. It leaves my hair smooth and straight without frying the ends. Its also great for curling hair if you watch a few quot how to curl hair with a straightener quot youtube videos and you're able to get the hang of it so there is no need for both a curling iron and straightener. Also makes it easier to travel with less electronics. I received the hsi first and it fried my hair without even straightening it. This is the answer for all hair needs
Before curling, make sure your locks are completely dry and well combed. Put a heat protectant. Divide your hair into strands. Take one strand and run a flat iron through, twisting as you go. To get the better result, pin your curls and seal them with hairspray. Repeat until all strands are done. When your curls have cooled, release and gently brush them.
Your second option is a hot air brush. It’s a round-shaped electric tool that can be used for both straightening and curling. But you probably will be able to create gentle waves rather than tight curls with this appliance. Hot air brushes can comb, blow-dry, and style your hair at the same time. It’s a good choice if you want to add extra volume or just keep it.
If your hair is fine, fragile or damaged you have to be careful with the temperature. Your locks require the lower heat to reduce the damage. The maximum heat level that you can apply on thin or damaged hair is 350°F. But maybe you should start with lower temperature, something like 170°F – and see if this would work. Also, thin damaged hair requires a flat iron with narrow plates so that you will be able to straighten it in one pass.
this was a gift for someone that was well worth it. As I have been told repeatedly since.. Unless its ghd its not a proper straightener.
